Caelu (pron: kay-LOO) are a mountain species that live their entire lives atop The Himalayas. Most will never descend their birth mountain and walk on the earth below. Despite having three houses and many settlements within their species, they are peace-loving, and violence amongst their own kind is extremely rare. Since their existence is largely unknown of, and due to their unusual geography, encounters with outsiders are uncommon.
The major houses within the Caelu community include those of the Mother, those of the Sword, and those of the Cloud. Those of the Mother are deeply religious, and commune with spirits, as well as perform rites and ceremonies. Those of the Sword hunt for the houses, and maintain defence and structural security. Those of the Cloud are highly skilled, and are responsible for weapon and armor crafting, jewellery making, and many other needed trades.
Houses work as a trinity, bartering and socialising with one another. A house cannot operate alone.
