Hi, and welcome to the Order!
Feel free to post any sort of ideas or suggestions you have for the world building. This can include alterations to existing lore, concept art for anything that peaks your interest or creating whole new nations, races and plot lines.
Everything has been left intentionally scarce on information, and while I can fill it out if needed, I thought it would be more fun for us all the leave our mark on the world.

"Com'nu."
I've been working on the lore from my character's perspective. All the references are in his people's language, I hope you don't mind but I find culture a very important development in role-play. I'm working on smaller maps concerning the hunting routes and seasonal camps his people use, tribe values, and Elvether folklore.
I've built an example of the landscape his people would inhabit and Lamathria, the winter sanctuary. Not sure if you allow the posting of screenies.
Also, the language I'm using for Elanir is Evolved Loxian, created by winterblackdraoi. props to him.

I'll be honest with you, I'm very new and haven't a clue with a screenie is haha. If you'd like to add any photos you want included in the lore to your profile, I'm happy to check it out and add it to our gallery here.
Love the nomadic idea, sounds like a good explanation how they haven't been forced off the continent like the other Elves. Have you considered how the other Elves view your clan or where in the world they are situated?

Screenie - screenshot.
I've some screenshots in Elanir's profile. I haven't regarded the sea elves yet, if someone wants to portray one of the sea elves then we can discuss ideas.
As for where, say the northeast of your map, marked by the bright question mark.

Ahh, maybe I'm just too old for this hip vernacular haha.
Even if no one portrays them, the group will come into contact with them at some stage and we can figure it out then!
Sounds good to me, I'll give the forest a name in abit and you can also include your Elvish name for it. I'll update it when we have a few more things to add to the map.

Too old? You've got to be joking! LOL I'm 31.
You'll possibly have some people join later. I know there's a couple interested but they don't have time at the moment, and one's 51!

Bringing this conversation over from the campfire - god and deities
From Dawnseeker's Winds of Magic thread, there are these gods:
Terra - Earth
Valara - Life
Aurelia - Light
Musphat - Fire
Zephyr - Air
Mortis - Death
Nyxos - Dark
Glacia - Ice
There's also Lunara - Heavens
I'm used to playing within settings with a pantheon - where deities have their domains, areas of interest, etc.
It sounded like Rosemary's faith is similar?
I'm wondering how successfully we can combine that - assign domains to these existing 'winds'
e.g.
Musphat (Fire) who could naturally overlook domains of Glory, War, Destruction, Passion, etc.
There's obvious overlap with Mortis (Death) so they'd have a relationship, but not necessary agree on everything
i.e. Musphat is all about the glorious death in battle vs. Mortis is there for the quiet ones too - the sickness and the assassinations, etc.
Or another approach entirely?

Very different from the spiritual beliefs of the Elvether tribes.
The Elvether evolved from the Oriola who believed in the influence of nature and its power and considered all life sacred and connected. Their Awen (inspiration) comes from their natural surroundings and they consider only they have a true sacred connection to that. They respect the natural world, their community, their history, and their gods.
They also strongly believe in reincarnation but in order to be born an Elvether again, they must endure the life of a beast after death. Never do they expect to be born a human, they consider humans only to have a soul while the Elvether believe they have a soul that resides in their head and a spirit that resides in their heart. The two are connected, and the green magical pigment they apply to their body strengthens that connection and grants them magic.
They have four main deities. Gevius, Eacada, Levin and Ajayri. Gevius is the creator of the first spirits, sky, and land. Eacada is the goddess of weather and the mountains, while Levin is the god of forest and animals and Ajayri god of rivers and streams. They never take on a humanoid form except for Gevius.
There are four major feast days a year, the winter feast is where all the tribes congregate at Lamathria, the winter sanctuary. There are four lesser feasts for smaller gatherings. Each deity symbolizes a season. Gevius - winter, Eacada - spring, Levin - summer, and Ajayri - autumn.
This is just a brief synopsis I've posted here. I've drawn out much more detailed information and taken elements from druidism and shamanism.

@Dawnseeker. Is it possible we can clone your map on Inkarnate and edit the cloned version? We already have most of the Elvether winter camps map done but to accurately expand on the elven territory we'll need yours.
Of course. I'm absolutely terrible with technology, so if there is anything you need me to do, please let me know and walk me through it xD if not I can share the account for you all to work on.
Think this will work?

Here's the map. Sorry about the visual changes. You know what they say, give an elf a stick and he'll make a house. LOL
Eruthian's at the east with some of the elven places named. I can expand their territory west along the mountains but I don't want to go too far south. Too many humans.
I hope you don't mind that we're following you on Inkarnate. We've also published the original Eruthian map from our group.

I've updated the map and added more settlements both Elvether and human. The white and green are human inhabited. The blue is the elven ruins and the cream is the Elvether camps.

That's gorgeous! I've never seen that site before, it's rad
Can I make a request to add an 'Alteran' along the treeline just south of Ellaburn?
It can be where Rye is from

That's fine with me but don't forget the rest of the map provided by Dawnseeker.
Jarinc, I, and another friend are discussing the raids some of the elves conduct, so if Rye came from close by then it's likely his people would have suffered one of their attacks. The Elvether use a particular bow made from black laburnum, I was going to write about it in my next post. It's from a rare tree and quite powerful. Rye may have also heard a few other pieces of gossip about the elves. We can share information here from our RPR group Mythic Realms but there is a lot of information and we don't want to overwhelm the thread. We also provide a list of word-building sites and have experienced designers who can offer advice.
But as I said don't forget the original map by Dawnseeker.

Ooh interesting.. I had it down that Rye was serving a minor house in the imperium. I haven't worked out some of the details of his stay there (e.g. how his dad died), so that could be interesting..
Guy's pretty clueless about the world around him, but it could make a good point of contention when he makes the connection between the raids and Elanir..

Elanir didn't take part in the raids but I like the idea you have. However, there is one Elvether named Valewrath, leader of the Vine Wolves. https://www.rprepository.com/character-site/1472958.
His name should be known and feared by the peasants in that region. He has a company mainly of Elvether outcasts who attack smaller villages and farms.

@Silent. Are you a Solas fan? If so, then I'll have to stop punching the guy.
