    — ○ ○ ○ WHAT ARE THE ROLES?

    As previously stated, there are 4 categories:

    The Protagonist [0/1]
    The "main character" of the visual novel (but not necessarily the role-play.)

    The Love Interests [1/?]
    Characters that, in one way or another, have all fallen for (or will fall for) the Protagonist because of their designated role in the visual novel. These characters, however, need not follow that predetermined route. (ie. Tsundere love interest, who, despite their callousness, is rather soft-hearted and dreams of love.)

    The Rivals [0/?]
    Characters that stand in opposition to the protagonist, either in academics, talent, or love. (Or, perhaps, all three.) (ie. The Villainess, engaged to one of the Love Interests, and is incredibly jealous of the Protagonist.)

    The Side Characters [0/?]
    Characters that are not so easily placed into a category. They can be the best-friend, the wise advisor, the unrequired lover, the ex to the Protagonist, etc. (ie. The merchant NPC that sells the Protagonist their gifts for their love interests.)


    The gender of any of these roles is irrelevant.

    All of these roles may start out as cookie-cutter tropes, but I would like you to develop them as characters the more we go on with this story. Whether that's to subvert the trope, to double down on said trope, or to switch to a different character altogether !!

    — ○ ○ ○ TROPES FOUND IN VISUAL NOVELS?

    Well, to be more exact, just general anime tropes. I highly encourage everyone to start with a trope and go from there !! There will be room for character development as we go on. Big kudos if you craft that trope with nuance and play around with the trope.     — ○ ○ ○ WHAT'S THE COMMON THREAD BETWEEN THE CHARACTERS?

    The Paideia is a college. To that end, all characters are aged 20 and up. Every single character has also, for some reason or another, joined the archeology club. This is to encourage the group's frequency of interaction.

    — ○ ○ ○ NOVEL RESIDENT AND ISEKAI'D RESIDENT?

    A Novel Resident is someone who wasn't transmigrated into the novel. They have no past life to speak of. 2 of the slots will be reserved for Novel Resident characters.

    Isekai'd Residents, on the other hand, are people who aren't native to the world, and, instead, originated from classic earth. While these Isekai'd Residents don't currently have any memories of their past life, it'll only be a matter of time before that comes into play.

    — ○ ○ ○ WHAT DO THE ISEKAI'D CHARACTERS KNOW ABOUT THE NOVEL?

    At the moment? Nothing. However, what is certain is that the isekai'd characters knew about the visual novel in their past life. Whether it was a casual perusal or a hardcore interest is left at your discretion.

    — ○ ○ ○ WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GIFT AND SKILLS?

    Your character's Gift is the reason for why they were admitted in the first place. It's the talent that received the most attention and, (for those who were isekai'd), was also the skill that they excelled at in their previous life.

    Skills, on the other hand, are merely flavor and are entirely optional.

    — ○ ○ ○ DOES THEIR GRACE NEED TO MATCH THEIR PERSONALITY?

    Absolutely not. Complexity > Compatibility !! It's more than okay to pick a grace that would be antithetical to your character's values and personalities. (ie. Someone flighty and prone to indecision receiving the Grace of Electro.) It'll create internal conflicts, which might mean less fun for said character, but more fun for me !!

    — ○ ○ ○ IS MY CHARACTER LOCKED INTO THEIR GRACE?

    You're free to change your mind on what your character will be graced with. However, once we've written the scene of the ritual, the scene of the Contract, your character will be permanently locked into their grace. Choose wisely !!

    — ○ ○ ○ KING?

    Kings are the highest and most sentient of the Nymphs, the only ones capable of conversation. There are 2 slots available for those choosing to contract with a King. This isn't mutually exclusive with a Novel or Isekai'd Resident.

    — ○ ○ ○ FEARS?

    I have plans of using your character's fears and incorporating it into the roleplay, so please have at least one thing that I can easily write a scene for! Something like spiders or heights.

    — ○ ○ ○ POWERS & WEAKNESSES?

    Though not necessary at the moment, I do encourage you to think what sorts of sub-abilities your character might have and what drawbacks using these abilities would have. Think of this as something similar to BNHA. (ie. Uraraka overusing her abilities leads to her having nausea; she has a limit to how much she can lift using her gravity manipulation.)

    — ○ ○ ○ ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS?

    Please do !! Both romantic and platonic relationships are highly encouraged! The protagonist yearning for their head-empty bestie? Kudos! A shoujo protagonist three-timing love-interests for that 'reverse harem ending'? Bountiful kudos! Friends who drifted apart after a terrible fight? Tear-jerking kudos! Rivals to an empire? All the kudos!
