Long ago, before all of creation, there was a force known as Chaos. It was made of the bizarre and unknown, and makes up everything and nothing at the same time. Inside it, dimensions expanded to trillions and receded to negatives, time went not only forward, but backwards, sideways, and diagonally. Without form or law, it was just a never-ending storm of something that we cannot comprehend.
However, when two winds of this storm crossed, one of orderly light and the other of chaotic darkness, it formed the first being of order and stasis in the multiverse, Onu. His presence caused Chaos to be confined to form and law, and it started separating itself into two sides of all existence, one bad, and one good.
Chaos was eventually clustered into two different parallel worlds, both as different as day and night and yet just as similar. The world created to Onu’s right was Eldion, a world of purity, light, and justice. No laws were needed there for there was no crime or evil to create the need.
However, the world to Onu’s left was the 13th Inferno, a world of corruption, darkness, and vengeance. While Eldion had oceans of seawater, the 13th Inferno had oceans of blood and magma. While Eldion had trees and soil, the Inferno had bones and brimstone.
Both worlds had a parallel leader. Eldion had Reshod the Fair, a wise and noble king. The 13th Inferno had the Lord of Shadows, a power-hungry emperor that had conquered the 13th Inferno in a week. Each world was oblivious to the other, and it stayed that way, the universe in perfect balance.
However, the Chaos that was confined to this form was starting to rebel. It disliked being confined to order, so it hatched a plan to return everything to the chaos from which it spawned. Chaos gave the Lord of Shadows a vision of a grand new world that he has never seen before, one ripe for the conquering; Eldion. The Lord of Shadows sent a grand army to invade Eldion, but failed due to one law of both worlds; anything from one world shall burn in the other. If a deer from Eldion stumbled upon the Inferno, its soul would burn from the overwhelming darkness and evil. If a goblin from the Inferno stormed Eldion, the purity would cause its body to burn.
The Lord of Shadows then had an idea. He created seven dragons of pure sin, for sin could tether itself to the hearts of men and stay there indefinitely. He sent the Seven Dragons to invade Eldion, and they enticed their prey with sinful temptation. Once they were ripe with debauchery, the Dragons would devour them, sending their souls to the 13th Inferno. Reshod the Fair, having no choice, declared war on the 13th Inferno, and the two armies met in between the two worlds, at the feet of Onu. The ensuing battle was known as the Battle of Lost Innocence.
The armies, equally matched, were put into a stalemate. It finally boiled between to Reshod the Fair and the Lord of Shadows, two powerful beings of light and dark clashing. Eventually, light won, and the Lord of Shadows retreated his forces. However, sin was still attached to the hearts of the people of Eldion. As long as sin still exists, the worlds shall never be in balance…
