The kings road is a Beautiful road of melted together cobbles. the rain and muck and water for 100's of years have never stayed on this road.. and snow never seams to cover it when you place your hand on the road it gives off almost a magical Heat. warm enough to never acumulate snow.

The Road itself is a section of a 2000mile road that used to run east to west across the great kingdom of Nardacia. It is this road that Runs right in front of the Villages main market and tavern. and it is this road that travelers use all the time.

This road is 60 feet across and runs straight for as far as the eye can see both east and west of the stairs of the Tavern. It is Comprised of Mable cobble. and has mile markers built into it in the style of earth's roman roads.

Patrol units on foot and on horseback travel up and down this road in groups of 10 men and this area of the road is patrolled by city watch and Drago's guard. the kings guard will come through once in a while as this area is far outside the current borders of what is left of Nordacia.

Merchant carts and Tradesmen travel on this road all day. it is truly a busy road as this Town is a hub village leading east away from Nordacia.
He had been traveling for days, the trip far from uneventful. Normally, he'd be flanked by more than a handful of personal guards, but for once, they'd listened to him. It'd be rather suspicious of him to have such an ominous entourage whilst wandering peaceful territories, and his usual carriage would have not been able to travel a road like this whatsoever. Bad first impressions never landed him any good work opportunities.

The man appeared clad in plain, dark grey platemail with a tattered, black shawl-like hooded cloak draped over him. His face obscured by a sharp, albeit scuffed looking helm, a pale violet glow coming through the uneven cracks and gaps in the helm's visor. What he rode upon was not a quite a horse, but something reptilian in the shape of something similar to a horse. A large, powerful equine body covered in dark, inky black scales, and strong, hooved legs. It also has three, lengthy whip-like tails and a long, hooded neck and head akin to a serpent. The steed is armored much like its rider is, peering about at those who passed them by with six, bright amber coloured eyes, long tongue flicking out from time to time.

The knight gives a nod to those who choose to acknowledge him, but doesn't offer anything in the way of words, simply riding on, in silence. For now.
People on the road all of a sudden stop and look overhead and some almost panic running away from the village up ahead while others grin and pick up speed knowing there is no need to flee.

Overhead the sound of birds fleeing the predator can be hear and the sound of huge wings flapping through the air can be heard. and a Grumble in Draconic for those who could understand it is heard over the wind and sounds saying "woe to those who dare cross Drago! the Green Lord of this realm!"

One Unit of Guards on patrol stop at this and grumble "well guess the rumor is true.. he is ticked off" another guard laughed and nodded "if you lost a month of rents due to theft you would be angry too" they started to try and settle the travelers down and shouted orders that fell on deaf ears to the crouwd to calm down!
Both the strange steed and its mysterious rider look upward in unison, to get a look at whatever it was that had suddenly cast a great shadow unto them, from above. This wasn't the first time the knight had encountered a dragon, and it most certainly would not be the last. In his younger years, he most certainly would have given chase, if only to catch up and witness whatever drama was unfolding, especially if there was an irate dragon involved.

Alas, he valued the virtue of 'taking his time' in his old age, and 'minding his own business', as well. There would be a chance he'd find out what had happened after the fact, once he reached the village by himself. Such things spread by word of mouth nigh-instantly, and such information would be easy to gather, should he pursue it. For now, he wished to rest, and to find work - surely there would be something for him to do in the nearing town. It wouldn't be too long until he reached the village, now.
