Running around prepping for their master's return are a group of Young Humans cleaning and Preping the palace for Drago's return.

His Researchers are busy in there Libraries Researching ways of Helping the community at large. as well as build there Lords Power base higher then it has ever been.

The Guards are busy walking The Halls and standing Their posts. Two in Particular are talking together.
Guard 1: "You think he will find what he is looking for in the village? maybe he will find someone pleasing to the eyes instead of some run of the mill human"
Guard 2 replies: "Well If its a Human he most likely going to find a Youth to be Raised and Trained as the New Bailiff" She Smirks and laughs "Though knowing our Lord He may just find a beautiful Lady and Keep her as a new pet for the palace"

They both start laughing and continue talking their banter back and forth.
Cassandra had just arrived from the Kingdom of Corona to the village in-which Drago's palace stands proud. She was seeking job as a guard, herself, since she had longed to be a royal guard for the castle she once served as Lady-in-Waiting.

She wore a thick, green coat lined with black buttons and a torn, blue fabric around one arm of it, it seemed she tied it around her arm rather than it being sewing. She also wore a necklace of smalls purple and dark blue gems, one of the gems being really big and purple, and named after her, mind you. A gift from a Old Coronian friend.

Cassandra approached the door of the 3-tiered castle, taking a deep breath in preparation. She had tied her horse, Fidella, to a nearby post, since she had arrived on horseback.

Cassandra knocked on the door with her black-gloved hand and waited a response. She expected a guard or servant rather than any royal to answer, because that was how it was in the castle of the Kingdom of Corona. (Except when Rapunzel was nearby the door, she was a princess, and she didn't really act like one and would open the door for just about anyone. Cassandra had to get on her about that.)
A Guard opens the door He is Pure Dragonborn From Head to tail he looks like a Bipedal dragon about 9 feet tall. "What do you want human? The Alms house is down the path towards the village" He snarks as he looks the young lady up and down.

His Partner smacks him and says "That my dear friend ain't the way to speak to a lady" He nods to the lady and speaks softly as if speaking to a child "What is it you wish at the Lords palace Miss? and Sorry for Marcus He is a jerk..."
Cassandra did a bit of a loud, short laugh. "Hey, it's fine. Don't sweat it." She shook her head.

"I was looking to see if there was any free positions for being a royal guard to this palace." She looked at the two guards, crossing her arms. "I have experience in battling, weapons, self-defense; and I've worked in a castle before. Though I worked as a Lady-in-Waiting, rather than a royal guard." Cassandra said, though the tone of her voice while saying the last part was a little upset, since she really did want that position.

Fidella neighed from where she was tied up at.
"Also, that's Fidella. Trained guard horse." Cassandra nodded her head to Fidella.
The Condesending Guard smirks and thinks for a minute then laughs "well the kitchens needs a guard follow me" He smirks thinking he can get away with taking her to the kitchen and then just letting the cook put her to work He turns to lead Her down the Great Throne room to a side door that leads to the main hall and along said hall to the right of the great hall is the kitchen he then opens the door and motions for the Young lady to walk into the kitchen "here you go. the cook will put you to work" he laughs and then turns around to go back to his Post. this Human has interupted his Chess game with the other guard.
(( Careful, you going to piss her off! LMAO ))

Cassandra furrowed her brows while being led to the kitchen, she was being treated just the same as when she was at the castle. She was quiet the whole way to the kitchen, and turned around to stare and watch the condescending guard walk off back to his post.

Hm, could she strangle him?
...Nah, she needed this job.

Not yet.

Cassandra looked towards to cook and crossed her arms. Kitchen guard? Really? Good lord, this castle's employeement was worse than the one back in Corona. And her dad was the Captain of the Royal of the Guards. Cassandra greeted the cook, "Hello. I'm Cassandra, from the Kingdom of Corona. I'm seeking a job as a royal guard. I told the others I was more of a...battling-type, but they led me here." Cassandra glared a bit at the last part, "So here I am. Do you think I'm qualified for the job? Or are you just the same as that condescending jackass..." The last part about the condescending guard in that sentence was extremely quiet, in-fact, the cook wouldn't have heard it.
The cook looks up and smirks "we all work here.. but ummm you sure you want to be part of the palace guard? they are all Dragonborn. you would be outmatched and out classed strength wise... they would give you every task that they hate doing like cleaning the barracks ect." She smirks and smiles "but for now grab yourself a seat the Lord of the manor does the hiring and he is out in the village at the momment... so ummm.. ether rest and get warm by the fire or I can put you to work pealing potatoes" She points to the giant pile of potatoes that needs pealing. she then turns back to prepping other veggies.
Cassandra had to resist letting out a loud sigh. This was Lady-in-Waiting duty all over again...

"I'll...rest by the fire for now. It's been, what, days since I've taken a proper rest?" Cassandra muttered, "I've been on horseback for quite a while, stopping here and there to feed Fidella and myself." Cassandra walked over to one of the chairs and pulled it to the fireplace, she sat down, her necklace clattering against the strap across her chest, it seemed to have held a sword, but she must have left it with Fidella.

Cassandra stared at the flames flickering in-front of her, glaring daggers into it.
The Cook smirks and nods "where is your horse anyways? did you not stable him in the yard? or is he still sitting out front as if this is some Trade center?" She smirks and tosses a huge pile of diced onions into a large cook pot. and starts to dice carrots.

A Young Helper runs in with more veggies from the Garden holding up a funny shaped pepper "does this look like his lordships nose mama?" the child asks the cook.

The cook replies "Child what is your obsession with finding images in food?" She shakes her head and mumbles "no darling it does not. and if it did it still going in the pot with the rest of the food" She continues to work and the Child turns and walks over to the young lady.

"Hi I'm Emily! I'm the bestest 5 Year old helper mama has in the Main kitchen!" She laughs a bit and then runs off to find more veggies and do her chores.

The Cook laughs "That child is going to be the death of me i swear... never stays still long enough and never stays clean. always playing in the dirt!"
Cassandra looked at the cook, "Sitting out front. I'll move her into the yard once I've rested a bit if that's alright."

She noticed the young helper, and smiled a bit. "It's nice to meet you, Emily."
"I'm Cassandra, but you can call me Cass."

Then the little 5-year-old girl ran off to find more veggies and Cassandra looked back at the cook.
"Reminds me of Raps. Princess I worked for one time. She never wore shoes and she never stood still." Cassandra said with a soft smile to the cook.

Cassandra could admit, she missed Rapunzel...
Emily runs back into the kitchen holding a handful of snails and tries to hand them to the new girl "I found you some friends!" she says with a giggle.

Cookie shakes her head and mutters "Emily i told you no pets in the kitchen! go wash up i need you to fetch some water from the well and you need to run some snacks up to the researchers in the libraries."

Emily mumbles "yes mama" and runs off to find a wash basin to wash her grubby hands leaving the snails ether on the table or in Cassandra's hands.
(( Awwww, she's adorableeee. LET HER HAVE PETS IN THE KITCHEN-- XD ))

Cassandra looked at Emily with an odd look, looking down at the snails. She shook her head, "No..thank you" She didn't want to pick them up. Even though she had gloves on, she didn't want to have to wash her gloves later. "Just set them on the table." And with that note, Emily did and ran off to the wash basin... What an adorable child, definitely reminded her of Rapunzel. Except Rapunzel had a chameleon and not snails.

Cassandra figured she was rested up enough and stood up, adjusting her outfit. "So." She said shortly, "Think I should have a word with those scale-covered knuckleheads again or do I really have no chance of convincing them that I'm good enough to become a royal guard?" Cassandra smirked, sarcasm in the tone of her voice.
Cookie laughs "Young lady you have better chance of stopping my child playing in the mud then you do in convincing those boneheads that a girl can fight and be a guard... You best just explore the palace and stay out of trouble while we wait for the return of His lordship"

She then smirks and tosses the diced carrots into the pot and starts to cut up the peppers that Emily brought in earlier.

Cassandra did laugh a bit at the mud part. "Right... I guess I'll explore some then." Cassandra adjusted her necklace.

"Also, His Lordship... He is a dragon as well, correct? I've done a little research before arriving here." Cassandra crossed her arms, wanting an answer before heading off to explore through the palace. "I try to research at least a little bit before heading to any new places." She added.
Cookie laughs and smiles "yes ma-am he is in fact a dragon. in his draconic form he is 8 feet tall and 9 feet across and 15 feet long not counting his tail" She smirks and remember the first time seeing him. she had just be adopted as his ward. wow how the time has passed. "he loves to play pranks so careful if you ever on the 3rd floor. he may give you a fright" She smirks and waves her off "go have fun stay off the third floor and out of private rooms. i am sure a servant can find you a room for the evening you just need to ask"
"Thank you." She nodded before waving back at Cookie, then headed out of the kitchen, down the halls to find somewhere new to explore.

Though, disappointed of not being able to get employed as a guard, she did find the place very fascinating to look around. Back where she was from, dragons...weren't too welcome. Rapunzel had accidentally gotten a dragon egg, hatched it and tried to hide it from the Royal Advisor, Nigel. Eventually, Nigel had found out and demanded it be captured.

Luckily for the dragon; Little Big Guy, the name Rapunzel gave him. (What a name, huh?)
He made it out of Corona safely and back home with the other dragons of his kind.

Sadly, Cassandra hadn't been around for that since she was... elsewhere at the time.

Her footsteps echoed through the hall, looking around the halls.
Emily ran past Cassandra with a bucket of water slopping water on the floor as she ran "hi lady by lady mama needs the water and then i gots to bring snacks up the the grumpy scribes!" she says as she runs by spilling more water. Obviously its a task that is ment to keep her busy and out of trouble but its got to be a comical sight seeing a 5 year old drag a bucket of water when there is a well inside the kitchen in the first place.
Cassandra quickly got out of the way of Emily running past her, if she hadn't had moved, the little girl probably would have bumped into her. She waved quickly as Emily said hello and goodbye.

Cassandra continued down the halls, avoiding split water so she wouldn't slip. Cassandra wondered if the palace had an office for royal engineers like back in Corona? Before Cassandra left Corona, a country boy named Varian had been hired as Royal Engineer.
A Servant walks Past Cassandra and mumbles "of course they let any random pretty face in these days..."

A puppy runs past Cassandra followed by a group of children maybe 6 or 7 years old. closely chased by a nurse maid yelling "Leave the dog alone its time for classes you dont want to anger his lordship"

Another Servant laughs walking the other Direction and spots Cassandra "are you lost miss? or are you a Guest of the palace. i think we have rooms for guests available on the second floor"
