Keep OOC and IC separate
Basic role players code of conduct applies. Do not take anything that happens in character, out of character. Be generally respectful and polite in out of character chats and voice chats. We really don't tolerate bullying so just be wary, we will use our discretion when dealing with any conflicts. If issues should arrive OOC it will be handled in private chat with admin team.
Roleplay Etiquette
Make sure to tag the person after you post so that we can keep role plays moving and people know when it's their turn. When you're done with a scene please draw a line so the admin team know this can be logged. If no activity has been taken place in a channel for over 48 hours we will tag those involved to see if this is still on-going. If no further response in 24 hours we will log this to free up the room for another scene to take place. So please just shoot a message to let us know and we will leave this open for you.
All Roleplay rooms are open unless specified otherwise, if you'd like to make your role play private just put a disclaimer at the top of the channel or as the story progresses
ERP AND NSFW
All NSFW content must be kept to the NSFW categories and threads. You can request that we either move a channel (where an RP has started out PG) or you can request a new blank channel to be added into the NSFW category by contacting a member of @Woogle .
- Despite this, we are an 18+ server generally, so any references to sex, drugs, drinking and other things you'd expect to happen in college are fine - just ensure that nothing is explicit or in great detail that you'd expect to find in the @NSFW channels.
NPC'S
- NPCs are controlled by DMs (Dungeon Masters) - which includes other students and teachers, if you want to introduce an NPC to the RP either speak to @Woogle . On break weeks and during parents day where it's obvious you can of course control your character's family outside of Amaris but these don't need to be posted in references.
Lore & Suggestions
We welcome all creativity but please stick to our lore as we have worked incredibly hard to create something fluid, if there's any confusion or questions please refer to the-handbook-and-enrollment-form or @Woogle . We're always open to suggestions but keep in mind not everything is going to be approved but we will do our best to compromise.
Character Creation
All characters that join the roleplay must be approved by the admin team before moving forward, please ask permission before creating a second character and make sure the character fits within the guidelines of universe.
God modding
God modding will not be tolerated, ask permission before controlling characters that do not belong to you and don't be that overpowered person that sucks the fun out of everything, remember we're meant to be learning the elemental arts, no one in this roleplay is invincible.
No Auto
This is when a player performs an action without giving the affected players a chance to react or respond. This mostly applies under combat RP but can also refer to non-combative RP as well.
Hiatus
If you plan to take an extended break, we just ask that you let us know either via OOC or in private and we'll be more than happy to give you a "Hiatus" tag until you are ready to return.
Advertisments
We ask that you don't advertise other servers in this one as we'd prefer to keep things, specific to Amaris. It's not to say you can't scope out specific people but please do so in private and not in our OOC chat.
Word count
In an effort to maintain the quality of the roleplay we ask that no post is under 120 words in length
