Only taking like 12 years to get back into arting again, maybe (academia really sucked the creative life out of me foreal)
I used to be SOO into digital art forums and found so much community there that this makes me nostalgic.
MAYBE if I posted my skritchidy scratches in this very non-social media way, it'll encourage me to keep this going.
One day I'll dig up my old stuff and maybe share if I wasn't so ashamed of how far I've deteriorated.

So I set it up last night, and asked my partner what I should paint for the first time in a decade and he requested a duck. So Duck!
Did some figure drawing practice via Line of Action today too (~3 min studies?)

allDuck! (reminds me I have a character named Ducky, and he is definitively not so charming, but I might add him to the roster.)
the figure studies took me BACK.. it was daunting and scary, but muscle memory really kicked in after a bit, it was niice
I LOVE the drama of the shoulders in the large figure drawing! And I've found that getting off social media has helped my personal relationship with my art SO MUCH. It's so much easier to just relax and draw stuff for yourself without the pressure of social media "success" or whatever. I find it much more fulfilling to post on RPR; it feels like a much better place for feedback and critique when desired, too. I'm excited to see what else you'll do!!!
