Hi!! I'm Auberon/Alluvial, and I do character art, but I'm primarily known for my portraiture/icons. Lately I've been doing a WHOLE BUNCH of them (2-4 in a sitting, generally). I'm starting with limited palettes as I get myself back in the swing of painting after a long dry spell. I'm working my way back up to full color.

I love love love the icon you did for me!!! I still have to doodle my own but it's on my list. SO EXCITED to see what else you're gonna be posting!
Your works are beautiful! One small thing caught my eye on the anthro portraits if you are accepting criticism, I can say what is it. But it's a very minor thing and might be even something intentional. The icons are wonderful, and I love those dynamic color palettes! Huge respect for the way you draw lips, I sadly can't go beyond minimalistic, anime-like cartoon lips, hehe.
Another thing I like is the variety of poses and expressions, as well as facial diversity. I love it when artists put more personality & shapes into the characters they draw, whether it's a commission or a personal project.
Also, I'm an artist looking for a community/discord server, can I perhaps ask some stuff about your server in DMs? I had the displeasure of joining an art server and later regret that due to the stuff I saw there, um

Your icon definitely gave me the inspo to push into doing more icons and revisiting my painting work more seriously! I can't wait to see what you do!

Thank you for asking before offering feedback. I am not looking for any critique, as these are commissions and not personal practice pieces.
I appreciate your kind words, though! I have done all of these from observation of photos so that I can better hammer down anatomy and lighting. It helps keep me from accidentally same facing everyone, as I sometimes do when I'm working without references due to my style.

And here's two full color icons I did yesterday:
I gain years tacked on to my lifespan every time someone gives me a reference with cool, strong lighting.
Mayyyy do another today if the commission slot fills, but may not.
Didn't sell my evening same day slot, so I did a repaint of an icon I wasn't happy with before. This is the difference brain medication and a few weeks of daily practice makes xD
Comms for these are slowing a little and my motivation for personal art is wishy washy, but I did get this done today!
