Hello! Just wanted to introduce myself since it seemed fun to contribute to this group!
You can call me Larata, I'm a big fan of comics and fanzines. Right now I have my commissions closed because im very busy irl, but I'd love to work on OCs and fanart once I get some free time again!
I know my art is not perfect, but I do love helping people in what I can, so if you like my work and have any questions please ask me and I'll try to give you some info and tips! Let's nourish the art community!
I have been very inactive this year art wise, so I'll just upload some chibies and silly characters I've doodled:
I hope we get to be friends and work on some fun RP here and there!

So pretty! I love how flexible your art style is. The first one is silly to me (in a good meaning) and I love how this lil' guy just grumpily death-stares the viewer while also being so cute, lol. The second one looks like it's based on a game called "Night in the Woods", but the character pose is more "dynamic", I really like it, especially the coloring offset you made. The last one with two ladies is definitely my favorite! It gives me vibes from both Studio Ghibli animations and Over The Garden Wall at one, like a mix of these two. Absolutely amazing!
What are your inspirations for art, anyway? Because I listed many media that your art reminds me of, I wonder if you actually take inspiration from something.
I also remember that you told me about learning art with the Internet, are you perhaps self-taught yourself?
(EDIT: Added a question )

Thank you very much for saying such nice things about my drawings!! I really appreciate it!
The second one was a sticker design I quickly thought about for a convention, but I only learned about Night in the Woods a few weeks from now, I think the cute animals with plain shapes can be a classic it means a lot because I love the style that game has!
The third one is a chibi rendition of one of the most known scenes from the movie The Handmaiden but I think it's probably mostly my style, or I'm not too concious of what things I was influenced by to create it 😔. That you relate them to those two shows is amazing!
I think a lot of things inspired my drawings, I'm not sure I can say just one! But all the things you mentioned I love them. I think a lot comes from wanting to understand as many styles I see around in anime and children illustration books. Regardless of these drawings, I'm a mayor lover of ink and comic book styles like moebius or recently the artist from atelier of witchhat are insanely good to study from.
I always liked drawing but I went to a bunch of short courses which I think can be so helpful to learn!, and did one year at an arts college but didn't like how things got handled in it and dropped. I think most things I learned because of trying to always do fanart at home 😂.
