Religion

  • Pantheon

    There are two pantheons:

Golden - Aligned with higher functions of society; what makes people people. More complex ideas with their own moral failings. For example, murder

Ichor - Embracing the uncontrollable and the innate. For example, weather, rage, lust

Pretty much everyone believes in the gods, as they empirically exist. A small handful are atheists, but they're considered conspiracy theorists--flat earthers in the real world are a good equivalent.

The gods usually interact with mortals through agents called Guides. Rarely, they will make an appearance themselves, taking whatever form they want to at the time, e.g. a bird. Direct communication with mortals is not common and usually requires some fucked up summoning.
  • Holy Power

Occasionally, a mortal may be gifted with power from their god, often given in order to advance the deity's interests--spreading their sphere of influence, acting on their behalf, punishing sinners, and so on. Many are able to channel these blessings in combat, or to heal the wounded.
