Calan was at a sporting goods shop, observing a football in his hands. He was absolutely torn between what he should get. After all, his parents only limited him to one thing. 'Hmm.. A new football, basketball, or soccer ball.? Ughh! How do they expect me to decide?" Calan groaned, looking around the store once again, his brows furrowed as he contemplated.
Gaynor was digging around in the clothing area, trying to find a pink or purple pair of sports shorts for P.E. at school.
He picked up a few, looked at them, decided he didn't like the color and put it back, then he wandered off to another part of the shop, trying to find the perfect color pair. That's when he saw Calan. He stopped, then waved vigorously. "Calan! Hey!" Gaynor was excited to see him, he was honestly excited to see anyone. Except for the math teacher, he didn't like him, he was boring and stuck-up.

Calan put the football back and turned around as he heard his name being called. "Oh, what's up Gaynor!" He replied with a smile as he approached. "Whatcha doin?"
"Shopping for shorts for P.E.!" He said, putting his hands on his hip as if he was proud of it. "I can't seem to find a good shade of purple though, so I'm over here feeling like an explorer trying to find a lost treasure."
"What are you doing?" Gaynor smiled brightly.

"Well, my mama is letting me get one thing from here, but I just can't decide! I can play soccer, basketball, football, baseba- Not the point! y'know what? I can help you find some shorts you like while I decide?" He suggested.
Gaynor raised a brow, "Wow you play a lot of sports. I just run track and occasionally play soccer." He laughed. "Sure, that'll help us both!" He then added.
"Nice- Wait.. You play soccer!?" Calan beamed with excitement. "You gotta play with me sometime! Pleeeaaassseee?" He begged, getting sidetracked easily. Not too shocking since he has the equivalent IQ of a coconut.

Calan pumped his fist in the air. "Yeeahh! Now let's go find some shorts!" He enthusiastically replied, practically dragging Gaynor along with him.

Gaynor didn't mind being dragged along, he did the same thing with others when he was excited. "Woo-hoo! Some shorts!"
"What shade of purple are you picturing?" Calan asked, skimming through the racks of shorts.
"Hmm, dark purple, like, like kind of like my jacket." He tugged on his jacket, raising his brows. "I love this type of purple, not too bright, not too dark."
"Yeahh.." He mumbled, squinting a bit as he brought a pair of shorts up to Gaynor's jacket. "Whatcha think about these? Actually.. they look a bit too bright huh?"
Gaynor glanced at them and nodded, "Yeaaah, too bright." He agreed.
"Hmmm.." Calan dug through the racks some more, concentrated. "Y'know, If we can't find any here, the cashier would help out. He loveeess me." He quipped, batting his eyelashes like an idiot.
Gaynor looked through the racks too, also concentrated. "Yeah, we might could see if we can get some custom ordered?" Gaynor noted.
"Easy peasy! Cmon!" He responded, leading Gaynor over to the cashier. "Mr. Roberts! My friend needs a pair of shorts, a specific shade of purple. Can we get 'em custom made?" The cashier nodded "Definitely! What type of purple are ya' looking for, kiddo?" The cashier asked Gaynor.
Gaynor tugged at his jacket, "This color! At least close to it." He said, "I want it to match." He snickered. "Purple is my favorite color."
The cashier smiled and motioned the two boys towards the back. "I made a pair exactly like that shade!" He dug through some boxes, then pulled out the pair of shorts. "How's this?" He asked. Calan looking out the window across the makeup store at the familiar girls there. ((See Makayla's starter for context))
Gaynor gasped and clapped, "That's perfect! How much does it cost?"
