Gaynor had rode his bicycle back home from the Barnetts' house, got dressed, did his makeup and his hair, and headed right back out, but instead of the Barnetts' house this time, he was heading to Makayla's house.
He was going to ask her to the prom.
He was wearing a black jacket, a white choker, black pants and he styled his hair really frizzy, and finally, topped it off with doing makeup similar to a certain someone from a movie Makayla liked.
He also made a banner from paper, markers and glitter. It said Makayla, will you go to the prom with me?
And it was surrounded by not only stars, but a doodle of Jareth from The Labyrinth.

Makayla walked downstairs and to the front door. She blushed brightly when she saw Gaynor all dressed up as Jareth. "A-ah... H-hi, Gaynor..." She stumbled over her words as her brain practically short-circuited over the sight in front of her.

Gaynor slowly held up the banner, his hands shaking a bit out of nervousness. He couldn't even speak he was so nervous, so he just held up the banner. After all, that was his question anyway.
Makayla gasped as she read the banner. She started to tear up from happiness as she spoke. "Oh, yes! Yes! Absolutely! I would love to!" She happily stomped her feet and clapped.
Gaynor blushed brightly, "Ah- You will?!"
He cleared his throat and calmed himself, "I'm so glad! I can't wait till'the prom!" Gaynor dropped the banner and then held out his arms, excited.

Makayla grinned at Gaynor. "Ah! I feel the same! It's going to be amazing!" She shifted her weight from foot to foot as she stared at his outstretched arms. "Are you asking for a hug or to hold hands or something else? I don't want to spring anything on you so I'm just making sure!"
