Beyond his control, Jack is enveloped in a blueish white light and he travels backwards in time and into another dimension that is not his own. Thankfully, he doesn't end up in someone else's body but his own. Still, this necessitates getting a new ID, social security number and a detailed background just in case someone decides to look him up. With his partner, Ava's help, he gets into contact with someone who can provide all of that. Once he has everything in hand, he gets his hands on some materials and builds him a suit of armor, weapons and a shield.
Calling himself Apex, he begins fighting crime in order to get the attention of the Avengers. At first, he doesn't succeed. But over the process of time, he manages to get their eye on him. He knows he's much like Captain America, but they allow him to try out as a member anyway. He passes their tests with flying colors and became an official member of the team.
Jack is on a mission to meet one woman. Adalia. She's important to the future according to the information Ava has given him. There is a criminal from the future out to kill that woman before she can contribute to the future in a way that helps save the world. But his mission to thwart that and save Adalia's life, regardless of the cost. And being in the Avengers places him in the perfect position to do just that.
After going on several missions for the team, they are finally given THE one mission that Jack has been looking forward to the most. A rescue mission to save Adalia from a HYDRA base and help the esteemed Black Widow out on this one since the two women are linked somehow. Jack, or Apex, may be from the future, but he doesn't know everything.
Now the team is at the compound and the fighting has already begun. The warning alarms are blaring in his ears as he fights like a man on a mission. They must find where Adalia is being held. Very likely deep within the base itself. But they can do it, they are the Avengers!
Natasha had been on edge all morning, preparing for the battle ahead of her had her both occupied and nervous. She had told the team that there was an enhanced persons being held in a HYDRA base, a deadly experiment meant to destroy everything in sight, but she hadn't let one crucial part slip- Natasha knew the enhanced, a woman named Adalia. A sister rather. She promised herself she would tell the team everything later, but for now, she was task-oriented.
Natasha had loaded up the jet, though a certain philanthropist seemed annoyed, and also onto her. "Seriously, how many more bases are there? We've destroyed like a million of them.", Tony whined, standing near the back of the jet in his suit. He seemed more bothered than ready to help, but Natasha couldn't blame him, as she partly agreed. How many more of these places would they have to destroy?
It had taken much encouragement to get Bruce to come along, though as soon as Natasha talked to him, she coaxed him onto the small aircraft, much to his discontent. He seemed rather shaky, as a big metal box in the sky didn't seem to be his ideal environment. The man had to admit, he'd do pretty much anything for Natasha, but he too could sense she was holding back something, though he decided not to prod her. She seemed very stressed, freaked out even. Something Bruce had only seen a few times.
Clint sat in the cockpit, helping Natasha pilot their way to the base, though as soon as they crossed a certain point, alarms began to blare, managing to cause Bruce to jump slightly, while Natasha flinched at the noise. Tony seemed rather annoyed by the sound too, though he was probably hung over on something, knowing his party habits. Natasha also noticed the two other passengers, Wanda, and one of the newer recruits, sitting towards the corners of the cargo areas, silent for most of the ride.
Natasha put the plane on auto pilot, standing up as she holstered her guns. "Alright, if you're gonna back out, now's the time.", she warned. "The enhanced persons in the base seems to go by the nickname 'Ivy', and should be considered hostile at all costs. Any contact with them will be painful. Based on our intel, they have an extraordinary ability to manipulate plants to their will, and though it sounds silly, it's extremely deadly if they hit you with the right vine.", Natasha explained. "Tony, Cap, Clint, Thor, Rhodey- work on clearing the protection towers. Sam- scout around the tower to see if we can find where they're being held. Bruce, when you hit the ground it would be a good time to turn green. Wanda, Apex, Vision- give 'em hell.", Natasha finished speaking with a small smirk.

'You got this." Steve says to Natasha, who is in charge of this mission. But no one was backing out, especially Apex since he's here for his own reasons. He listens in on Nat's mission debriefing as she barks out orders shortly after. He he hears his name dropped, he smirks and nods because he was already planning to.
Once the Quinjet arrives at their destination, Apex, Captain America, Falcon, Thor, Vision and War Machine get out first and those who cannot fly are helped down by their teammates. As Cap's enhanced muscles propel him forward the moment he hits the ground, he says to Rhodey, "Cover me!"
Prompting a response for his ol' pal, he says, "You got it!" As he flies above, he hears Cap say to Thor, "Thor, create fog to cover our approach!"
Hovering in the air, he spins his hammer around and around as a sudden fog suddenly surrounds Cap's little group as they head for the towers. Once they arrive, they start clearing up the protection towers.
In the meantime, Falcon scouts around the complex, searching with his Augmented Reality goggles for a way in. It takes a pass or two but he finds one, holding a finger to his earpiece, "Found a back way in, Nat, southwest of the complex."
Ahh, finally! Apex gets teamed up with Wanda. He was tempted to ask her out on a date but he gets cold every time. And Vision is cool even though he doesn't talk to their Android very much. Once on the ground, Apex decides to run alongside Cap and they are literally neck and neck because the man wants to take advantage of the fog. Once at the complex, he breaks off to give the enemy H*ll as Nat said.

Natasha had to admit, hearing Cap's voice reassuring her is exactly what she needed in that moment, as they reached the drop point, putting the aircraft on auto pilot, straddling a bike that had been hidden away in the cargo section of the plane, hitting the gas as soon as she hit the ground, the sound of screeching rubber could be heard.
Fog soon gave them all a sense of cover, courtesy of Thor. Shortly after, explosions could be heard as protection towers were being neutralized, giving Natasha a window to slip through the defenses towards the point Sam had pointed out as a weakness.
"Almost there.", was Natasha's response to Sam as she maneuvered through the grounds.
More noises could be heard as Wanda and Apex seemed to take action, knocking out more of the defense in their way.
Natasha parked her bike against a nearby wall of the compound, meeting up with Sam. "Alright, how do we get in?", she asked, pulling out a grappling line she assumed she might need.
Though all were unaware of the orders being barked inside of the base, by a man who seemed to be in charge of keeping the base intact. "Send more troops!", he shouted, clearly annoyed and very angry. "What about Ivy?", a voice could be heard asking.
"Not just yet.", was the final reply from the man. "Prepare them anyway, but do not deploy."
