The garden was filled with yellow rose bushes. Stone pathways led to the center where there was huge table with many chairs. The table was set for a tea party with a tremendous amount of food; of course, French cuisine (look it up if you have to).
Elliot smiled at the table with glee. On his shoulder was a little bird friend. Now, all was left to do is wait for the guests.
Riddle had walked into the garden, and instead of being amazed by the beautiful tea party...he was glaring at the rose bushes, disgusted by how they were yellow and not red.
In-fact, Riddle was completely betrayed at seeing all these rules of the Queen of Hearts broken.
800 rules and somehow, this person hosting seemed to break a lot of them.
What was next? Croquet being played after 5:00 PM? Bringing a cat to this formal affair?
Drinking honey-sweetened lemonade after 8:00 PM? Drinking a tea other than herbal tea in the evening?!
Riddle rolled his eyes, such disgrace, this tea party is. And he hadn't even been here more than 5 minutes.

“Welcome to my tea party”, Elliot said, smiling. “I am surprised anyone showed up”, he added. “Oh, where are my manners? I am Elliot but most call me Cinder”, Elliot said, “What is your name, honored guest?”
Ash walked up to the two, looking a little rough around the edges. She appeared to be in her mid-twenties, and as if she had been somewhere she shouldn't have been. Ash wore a black t-shirt and a pair of loose blue jeans that were a little too long for her and bunched up around her ankles. Her clothes were stained with grease and a drying maroon substance. She was trembling a little.
"H-hey. Mind helping a girl out?"
"H-hey. Mind helping a girl out?"
"I am Riddle Rosehearts, The Housewarden of The Heartslabyul Dorm of NRC." He said, "I come from the Queendom of Roses."
He looked around, "Are you aware of how many rules you've broken with this..tea party?" Riddle scrunched his nose, an unamused look on his face. "You have yellow roses rather than red, this is a party, please do act like it." He shook his head and looked back at Elliot, "My apologies for ranting however, pleased to make your acquaintance--" Riddle was interrupted by Ashley Windsor.
"Eh?" Riddle raised his brows, "Is there something the matter?"

"I mean.. I took care of it," Ash replied shakily, looking over her shoulder. "I think."
Riddle crossed his arms, his one hand sporting his staff. He tapped his fingers along the staff, "What ever do you mean?"
Ash shook her head as if to clear it. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you," she said, looking down at her shoes briefly.
“My sincere apologies, I wasn’t aware of any rules”, Elliot said after listening to Riddle’s rant. He then turned to Ashley and frowned with concern. “Oh my, do you need anything?”, he said.
Riddle glanced at Elliot, "Hm. I presume you don't know any of the rules of the Queen of Hearts then? Shame. I shall lend you a copy of the rules when I have the time."
Ash looked at the two, seeming a little puzzled. "I was leaving... somewhere and I saw a large rosebush, and when I walked through it, I ended up here. When I tried to go back, I couldn't."
"Hm, must be some sort of portal then. My college has similar forces."
“Queen of Hearts?”, Elliot tilted his head in confusion. Now, where did I heard that name? Perhaps one of Stepmother’s guests, he went deep into thought. Elliot snapped of thought when Ashley began speaking. “Come, come. I will draw you a bath”, he said.
Elliot whispered to some of his critter friends, “Please keep our other guest entertained.”

Ash waved Elliot's offer off. "I'm fine, thank you."
“Are you sure?”, Elliot looked at Ashley with a puzzled look. The critter friends that Elliot whispered to were now hiding under the table, to be out of sight.
"Yes, from where I am, the Queen of Hearts is idolized. She was a queen who ruled over a maze of roses and brought the rule of law to a chaotic kingdom."
"Under her strict leadership, no rose was off-color, nor was any playing-card soldier out of step." He proudly said to Elliot

She shook her head. "I assure you, I'm fine," she replied, seeming a little firmer than before. She seemed distracted by the animals and walked over to the table.
“Sounds fairly fascinating”, Elliot said to Riddle. However, he was very puzzled of his guests’ origins from the Queen of Hearts to Ashley’s strange clothes. “Oh my, I didn’t get to know your name”, he said to Ashley.
Ashley glanced over at Elliot. "I'm Ashley. What's your name?" she asked, peeking under the table.
