Luna: the Luna is believed to have a unique connection to the moon and to possess a certain level of influence over the other werewolves in the pack, especially during the full moon. They may also have certain psychic abilities, such as the ability to sense danger or to communicate telepathically with other werewolves. However, the extent of these powers varies from pack to pack and from story to story within the series.

Also allowing them to mark thier prey (like a homing beacon) though with its limits at allows them to track an intended mark.
