Factions
Here are some of the various factions to interact with and join--
Roman Senate:
The Roman Senate is the legislative body of the Roman Republic and later the Roman Empire. Composed of influential senators, they hold significant political power and influence in shaping the destiny of Rome. You may align your characters with senators who seek to uphold the traditional values of the Republic or with those who may be involved in clandestine plots for personal gain.
Patrician Families:
Wealthy and influential noble families, known as patricians, hold immense power in Roman society. They vie for control, engaging in political alliances, and manipulating events to further their own interests. Your character can align with or against these families, or may even be a member of these families.
Umbra Noctis:
The Umbra Noctis, or Shadow of the Night, is a secretive organisation operating in the shadows of Rome. Comprised of skilled infiltrators, assassins, and manipulators, they seek to undermine the established order for their own mysterious purposes. Your character can choose to infiltrate the Umbra Noctis, gathering information to thwart their plans or become part of their ranks, navigating their dangerous agendas from within.
The journey to uncover the true nature of the Umbra Noctis is rife with danger and intrigue, requiring wit, courage, and a keen eye for deception.
Gladiatorial Factions:
The gladiatorial games are a popular form of entertainment in ancient Rome. Different factions sponsor and train gladiators, competing against each other in the grand arenas like the Colosseum. Your character can join one of these factions, participating in battles for glory, wealth, and the favour of the crowds.
The Legion:
The Roman legions are the backbone of the Empire's military might. These disciplined and highly trained soldiers conquer new territories, defend the borders, and enforce Roman law. Your character can choose to join the legions, taking part in grand battles, military campaigns, and serving the Empire's interests.
Merchants and Trade Guild:
Rome's bustling economy relies on a network of merchants and trade guilds. These factions control the flow of goods, finance, and resources within the city. Your characters could engage in trade, negotiate deals, or even become involved in the intrigue and rivalries among these powerful economic entities.
