DK has a reason for being in a dungeon more than just for the lols like monk, he's also had years of RP many moons ago however IC'ly he is essentially a sentient walking corpse...he's not a jerk, just understands people don't like him

While everyone works toward getting rolling into meeting each other and ready to delve into the dungeon itself, I'll also let the small town that's sprung up around the tomb introduce itself. As noted in the setting page, its denizens aren't outwardly hostile, but do worship a lich and want heroes to die horribly in the Tomb. They consider it a form of unintended yet voluntary worship of their master, a sign of his greatness. After all, few gods can command worship from those who hate them, but Acererak can.

The cultists are willing to do whatever they can to make it as easy and enticing as possible for heroes to go die in the Tomb, and so will happily offer a place to sleep, uninspiring but adequate meals, and so on while the group gets ready to go in. Once you're in, though, their hospitality ends (though they won't stop you from camping in front of the Tomb if you retreat for a bit)

Also I absolutely love how much "done with this crap" energy he has in dealing with this cultist, it's so good. Fortunately this weird lich-worshipping elf is... slightly useful! Kinda. He knows where useful things are, at least.

Was really careful not to spoil any puzzles or exploration details of the labyrinth, but…judging from reviews of the og module, I hope we’re allowed to replay this run more than once

Also actually working to give key skill sets a use in a place where they otherwise wouldn't have a use, though, so hopefully that's helpful!
