Our forum portion of this game has somewhat more lax rules than our Discord half, mostly because it's easier to tag things here for mature content and trigger warnings.

The AotM forums leave room to run games a little more slowly than the Discord, which is set up to work for real-time/rapidfire roleplay. You and your partners set the pace where forum games are concerned. As long as you and the other people you're roleplaying with are happy, so are we.
The only exception to this rule is official Mission Threads, which you can read more about here. Typically a Mission Thread on the forum must be completed within two months for your team to succeed.
Remember that ghosting is not acceptable on AotM. We expect you to be kind and communicate with your partners, and for your partners to be understanding when you lose interest or life gets in the way. Real life emergencies happen, and we won't boot you the first time or so that you may accidentally ghost a thread, but if we get continual complaints about this behavior, we will ask you to leave the community and not return.
Real life always comes first, but a refusal to communicate with your partners is not a culture we wish to foster here. If you cannot change this habit while with us, then AotM is not a good match.
If you have trouble keeping track of your threads, consider making yourself a thread tracker somewhere, or asking your partners to DM you when they have responded.
We expect you to be mature enough to make mature choices while writing mature content. Please tag any threads with mature content in it in your title with one of the short-hand tags below, and include a trigger warning on your thread's first post with more details if necessary (remember, you can edit posts and add your content warning later if your thread naturally goes in that direction, we're not asking you to predict the future). Any thread with commonly distressing themes must be labeled, not just threads with sexual content included.
Minor characters (any character 18+); or characters who look under 18, but mentally are not (such as child vampires); or who are overly childlike in nature may not be involved in threads involving sexual content, serious drug use (we're not going to ping you if your 17 year old sneaks a cigarette or a drink, but use your head on this one), or overly violent situations.
All characters involved in sexual content must be able to pass the Harkness Test. Talking fantasy creatures like dragons, aliens with unusual configurations, furries, and were-creatures are all acceptable as long as they follow the previous rule. Poke'mon, and regular animals with real world equivalents may not be included in this type of content, even if they can talk.
Characters involved in sexual content may not be related to one another by blood or adoption.
Please also note that while we allow mature threads here, that this is not the place to explore extreme or 'taboo' content.
