#51992 - DC Fallen Mission Status: Ask First The Universe from which the Omphalos's Chief of Security hails, this world has been fully overtaken by the Corruption. It happened in a matter of hours, and though as many as possible were evacuated to Sanctuary, many, many more never made it. This world is rife with Shades, and worse than the usual ones, considering the prolific existence of superhuman individuals within what used to be the population. There is a small enclave and shielded camp within what used to be Gotham's Robinson Park, accessed through the large obelisk that marks the park's World Fair Statue. While the beacons keep the Corrupted out, that's about all they do, and the camp itself is fairly small, meant more as a stopping point for research or on the off chance any survivors are found, though that seems like an impossibility at this point. Though the Enclave is located in what used to be Gotham City, there are no people left to run things, and so running water and electricity are not available outside of the safety zone, which relies upon its own small generator and a few solar panels. The local flora and fauna have already begun to claim many parts of the city. Tech Level Magic Level OOC Notes (Select to Learn More)
DC Characters & Locals For the most part, there are only Shades left here. However, there may be the extremely rare pocket of survivors here and there, particularly if they have a super of some kind to help them. If you'd like to plot a rescue mission, get in touch and we can talk about headcanons and all that so our info matches up! Shades If you would like to play a Shade from this world, feel free! DC Fallen is loosely based on Bruce Timm's Animated-verse, so any hero that might be found there could be found as a Shade. In the future it might be possible to capture and revert Shades, so if that's a plot you'd like to pursue, feel free to poke staff! Questions & Answers (Select to Learn More)
Have a question about this world? Ask Jabber for an answer! ❔ Can my character go outside of the safety zone? ❗Only agents with Level Four Clearance can venture outside of the established safety zone outside of a designated mission. Agents with Clearance Levels Two and Three may partake in sanctioned missions if accompanied by a Level Four operative, but may not otherwise venture beyond the perimeter without special permissions. It's considered too much of a risk. |
Gate Status: Security Level 5 [Outside Safety Zone] - Security Level 2 [Only Within the Security Zone] This area has been completely consumed by the Corruption outside of the Safety Zone and the Enclave and is extremely dangerous. Only Agents Level 4 and higher may step beyond the beacons unaccompanied. Agents who are at least Level 2 may assist within the boundaries of the Safety Zone but may not venture beyond it. Lower levels than this may not utilize this Gate without strict supervision within or outside of the Safety Zone. The Gate itself comes out in #51992's Enclave's main chamber. Dominant Trade System: Not applicable. Previously, Earth Standard Currency. As a Corrupted world, trade here is somewhat moot. Shades don't care much for the economy. Goods are brought in from outside. Sapient Species: Currently, mostly Shades. Previously, humans, meta-humans, homo magi, extra-dimensional beings, several members of non-native alien species Earth has been Corrupted-- as far as we can tell, in it's entirety. The status of planets beyond it remains unknown. Transportation: Foot Travel, small vehicles, animal mounts Any vehicles that might be driven or animals that might be ridden here must be brought in from elsewhere. The smaller the vehicle the better. This world has streets, but most of them are choked with abandoned cars, debris, and overgrowth. The Safety Zone The area protected by the scant handful of beacons the AotM was able to spare is known as the Safety Zone. Within it one is somewhat protected from the Corrupted. The Corrupt cannot cross the barrier, nor can any natural weapons of theirs, such as energy beams or breath weapons. It should be noted, however, that the boundary does not protect against bullets. The Safety Zone has several energy shields set up for that, and they've held thus-far, but it's never a good idea to test one's luck. The zone has been cleared of debris and several small food gardens have been set up as well as barrels to collect and filter rainwater. Tents have been set up for quick medical treatment and debriefing. The uplighting that lights up World's Fair Obelisk and the streetlamps within the zone have been restored to power, but it's still fairly dark at night. The Enclave located through a hidden door in the obelisk is located underground. The steps are steep, but are wide enough to fit most individuals. They lead down to a concrete bunker with one central chamber that's currently being used as mission command and the gate room, and four branching chambers. The first and second are living quarters, which are fairly simple and meant for temporary use, most shared with doubled up beds or several sets of bunk beds and several shared bathrooms. Each residential wing has a single small common room to share between everyone, each with some couches, books, and board games. The third chamber is being utilized for food prep and the dining area, which is again, fairly spartan. It's a simple mess hall that often doubles as storage. The third chamber is more storage, with an area set aside and kept clean for more serious medical emergencies. The whole bunker has beds enough for about 55 individuals if the medical beds are also used, which sounds impressive until one remembers that there's the population of an entire city to rescue and beyond. Bed space also doesn't mean that the rest of the bunker and space beyond wouldn't find itself cramped and overtaxed for resources. Notable Locations: The Safety Zone, Gotham City Ruins The city was damaged in the world's fall, but is still standing. Thus far any efforts to better explore it have been fraught, never-mind what the rest of the world might look like beyond it. Shades swarm every corner, particularly at night. This world has been fully Corrupted. That means Shades, Heralds, and all sorts of nasties. Even worse is that many of the Shades were once powerful, superhuman individuals. They have not lost their abilities simply because they have become Corrupted. Not many Awakened have been reported yet, nor Heralds near the Safety Zone, but go cautiously. There is at least one known Behemoth beneath Arkham Asylum.
