Looking for housing inspiration?

Any writer here on AotM is absolutely welcome to make up a home for their character of their own. But sometimes it's nice to have a little inspiration or something your character can work towards. For that, we have some adoptable homes!

There are a few more steps to adopting a home rather than just making one up. If you see something you'd like for your character, please drop the following in our #requests-and-reviews channel on our Discord server.

◆ The name of the home you're requesting.

◆ The character(s) that will be living there and a link to their character sheets. More than one character is welcome to share a space as long as it's realistic.

◆ A quick blurb about how your character(s) are paying for the space.

Adoptions are first come, first serve. Once they've been approved, you then have a week to create a page for your character's home. You can make up your own template, or use one from here. What you make doesn't have to be a masterpiece, but we do ask that at least some effort is put into it.

When you're done, please submit a link to it to the requests and reviews channel. Once it's approved, the house is yours and you can do whatever you'd like with it from now on, as well as any graphics that come with it.

If you cannot complete this challenge within that week, however, the house will return to the market, and you will not be able to reapply for that specific house for a period of one month.

The Rabbit Den

Named because it's well... 'cozy', The Rabbit Den is a tiny, two bedroom cabin just past the Scrapyard in Sanctuary. It butts up right against the edge of the city's protective barriers, and so has long sat empty. Living so close to the woods and the edge of the shield tends to make a lot of people nervous.

It's well shored up though. No leaks when it rains, no drafts in the winter, and the little wood burning stove in the kitchen/living area heats up the whole setup pretty well. On the first floor is the kitchen area, which shares space with the dining/living room, a simple bathroom with a toilet and a built in metal tub (fire heated from below), and a small bedroom/study with a daybed that opens out into a full bed.

w7pjcp8n3o7.pngAbove, up a ladder is the loft and the second bedroom. It's a fairly small space-- certainly not one built for giants or those with long legs, but the little bed next to the loft's window is perfect for those who enjoy cozy little nests to tuck into. There's just enough space for that and perhaps a chest and a small desk for writing at.

The property also has its own well and a small storage shed, but it sits just over the shield line, so go carefully when fetching water or supplies.

The Rabbit Den is free for those part of the Relocation Program, if they are capable of finding one other person to share it with, or it can be purchased for the equivalent of 3d647adb40c6.png 35 Jade.
