Darry, also known as Castle Darry, serves as the seat of House Darry in the riverlands. Though its precise location is not detailed in the chronicles of Westeros, it is known to be near the ruby ford, a notable landmark associated with the Trident. The surrounding area is rich in natural resources, offering good hunting grounds along a nearby river, likely one of the many tributaries of the Trident.

Darry is situated approximately half a day's ride south of the Trident, placing it in a region of strategic importance and fertile lands. Despite its modest size, Darry is a well-fortified castle, comprising essential structures such as a gatehouse, ramparts, stables, and a central yard. The layout of the castle is functional, designed to support both its defensive capabilities and the daily lives of its inhabitants.

A notable feature of Darry is the Plowman's Keep, a tower where the members of House Darry reside. This keep overlooks the castle's godswood, a sacred grove that provides a place of reflection and worship. Beneath the keep, vaults extend into the earth, likely used for storage and protection of valuable items.

The great hall of Darry, though not particularly large, is a hub of activity within the castle. Trestle tables fill the space between the smoke-blackened rafters and the walls, creating a communal area for feasting and gatherings. Raymun Darry's audience chamber, containing the high seat, is a place where matters of governance and judgment are addressed.

The sept of Darry, located just off the castle's inner ward, is a distinctive half-timbered, seven-sided building with a tiled roof. Its carved wood doors open into an interior dominated by images of the Seven, the primary deities of the Faith of the Seven. Without windows, the sept relies on the solemnity of its carved altars and the looming images of the gods to inspire reverence among worshippers.

Castle Darry, with its combination of practical fortifications and religious structures, exemplifies the typical riverlands stronghold. It is a place where the mundane and the sacred coexist, reflecting the daily lives and spiritual beliefs of its inhabitants. Despite its small size, Darry holds its own in the complex tapestry of the Seven Kingdoms, providing a crucial strongpoint in the heart of the riverlands.
