Consider it like a Monster of the Week tv sitcom, except we're flexible. If you didn't like something, we can discuss.
PLUS, time is wibbly wobbly and very possibly as long as many jeremy-bearemies, so... maybe people are filling in town history posts in one thread while others are in 2024 posting events in the current day.
If there's a role you want to fill in town PLEASE be my guest. You can make Proposals here!
RP conduct:Be cool and respectful OOC, for sure! I'd like to think we're a friendly and not antagonistic bunch. There's no need for anyone to feel excluded or not heard*******
And, please, if there's an issue let's chat about it.

Consent is important to me among players. I love communication on what we're building.
NO Main Player Character Traumas/ Death without proof of consent before players engage in the making of that scene. And vice versa, don't surprise someone by dying graphically without consent.
IE: The specifics and circumstances must be agreed upon by the players involved.

- Clean ups on MY existing PC Profiles
- Add some NPC Profiles for references
- Some forum fiddle faddlin' --- notations clean up on existing posts.
- Timeline Post, which we can add over time.
- Cohesiveness regarding references as we build together:
-Add appropriate notes + tags to forum posts, players etc. IE: Topics I've mentioned in this post.. - Mods?
What to add for people- new IC forums protect a post, new lore, adjustments? Does everyone have access?

In short, no. Mack is a man of… questionable… morals. He would absolutely go home with and be a simp for a seductive succubus - until things got too serious or she kicked him out for accidentally burning holes in her sofa.
If some otherworldly woodland individual offered him a hit of some good reefer, he would take it, despite knowing he could be trapped for 72 years in the fae realm. (their food is very good.)
If he saw a fucking dragon, he’d snap a picture. Might attempt to pose with it, because that would look nice framed over his mantle in whatever motel room he’s crashing in.
He collects enchanted and cursed items, for funsies, and bragging rights.
More accurately, he is a bounty hunter. In his opinion, Monster Hunter sounds way cooler though. He does what he’s paid to do, or whatever his heart desires. His heart doesn’t usually desire mass genocide of species. Usually it’s drugs, attention, and greasy food. He is not a GI Joe mercenary or trained assassin, he’s some dude who takes ’going with the flow’ to immense extremes and has such found himself immersed in the world of the supernatural that parallels the mortal. And he likes it.
He can be offensive and crass (definitely Porn Stache vibes at times), sometimes seeming like he’s weaponizing incompetence… but he’s a golden retriever boy at heart and he wants to be everyone’s hero. Big inspiration is John from JDATE lolol.
I think his dumb luck, happy hero go-getter attitude and dopey disposition would be cute with the fatherly sheriff vibe. -

So, he hunts ALL monsters? Can he be convinced to chill on some? I assume scared monsters and towns monster would absolutely try to kill him if he came after them.
I assume any townsfolk who are not human would try hard to avoid him.
Also, there are a strange number if townspeople named Greg, one of whom works for the Sheriff's dept.
The Sheriff himself is some whatwise to townie monsters and encourages new recruits to be sure about their choices before taking any actions. "We are here to protect the town." As a whole. He's like angood guy Dad cop. Sheriff Hassan (midnight mass) Carl Winslow (Family Matters)/ Dulcie Collins (Deadloche)/ Jim Hopper (Stranger Things)/ Charlie Swan (the time of day which won't be named), Big (Rez Dogs) etc.

I would like for her to be Assistant to the Mayor. I feel like it would force she and Pearl into close quarters, and I feel that tickles my fancy. Plus, it’s already a noted position mentioned around the site instead of forging a new one.

I pictured Pearl handling ANYTHING administrative, boring, tedious, not exciting. Sometimes she stays late. Caprice comes to check on her. -
1/2 I have not had experience in RP of this fashion yet, but I would be willing to give the rolls a try. And the brief unpacking prior to enacting the scene is always a good bet. I think that sounds fun! Adds a flair of drama to the town. I will be following this thread of thought closely!
2/2 I feel those rules and procedures are fair and well stated.
As for claiming a roll in the town - can Carrie be the assistant to the mayor, or public relations for the office?
