I won’t be offended if y’all say no, but I’m fixated on this idea lately.
So there’s a tiny shack in the woods that serves as a makeshift synagogue for a very small community (10 or so) of late Medieval Jews who have been cursed with immortality. They were forced to move from spot to spot for centuries until finally finding refuge in Appalachia.
Two characters I have in mind are Rabbi Yohanan, who has created a stone golem to defend the premises, and Batsheva, a piratess who spent 200 years targeting Spanish ships in the Caribbean as revenge for their expulsion.

I love it. Allow me to be clear, I know limited info about authentic/ culturally respectful representation of Jews, other than glaringly obvious anti-fascist stuff.

Are these people who would interact with LHS? Keep to themselves?
I’m Jewish myself (As my username subtly hints at lol), for what that’s worth.
I’d say it’s a little of both. I imagine them like many Hasidic groups in that they’re visibly there and will do business in town, but they’re a little suspicious of others and mostly hang out with each other because they’re afraid of being hurt again.
