“L'Anatra Ubriaca”
aka
"The Drunken Duck Tavern"
In San Polo of Venezia, where the Grande Canale floats peacefully below the Rialto bridge and the street named Riva del Vin stretched between Fondamenta vin Castello and Rialto Azzurra, was an old Inn called “The Drunken Duck”, or “L'Anatra Ubriaca”. Nobody could remember when the Inn opened or who was the first keeper. For the last 50 years or so it had been run by the Collari Family.
