Yes.
Just assign what classes your character probably would be taking as a first year. You can use other schedules as spring boards as well as classes that have been listed. Feel free to make up a class.

We haven't really thought that hard on the year. Just play it as modern day.
We are just at the end of summer - start of autumn
No curfew. Think of it like a university not a highschool
Students can use their magic freely unless out amongst mundane people that might catch flak
