When Sadie, Lia, and Rowdy fled from the previous apartments, she had only one idea of where to go with her friends. She took them to where she had found a foreclosed bar that was seized due to being a cover for more unsavory business transactions. The illegal drugs and escort services shut the dilapidated buildings down and became a steal for Sadie, so she snatched it up quickly after talking to her brother. It had been a few weeks when she finally got the bar back up and running with getting all of the permits, inspections, and renovations done. Especially when contractors thought they could pull a few fast ones on her, thinking they were talking to a naive girl. So, Sadie let the money do the talking and made sure she was firm with what she wanted for her bar, not letting anything slip past her. Now, here she was admiring her bar, The Black Anchor, and getting ready to reopen the doors.

She soon walked up to the back entrance of the establishment, unlocking it, and entered. Followed by locking the door behind her since she was opening alone on the reopening and everyone else, partrons and employees, would come through the front door. As Sadie made it through the small hall, passed the restrooms, employee lounge, and the small yet spacious kitchen that she had installed. She made it up to the front around the bar's counter towards the other side, down a small hall, where it held her office and unlocked the door. She soon turned on her light, hung her purse on the coat rack behind her door, and opened her floor-length curtains that covered her wall length window. That had her favorite view, the ocean, part of what inspired her bar theme. Which was a beautiful pirate theme that had a lounge vibe to it, and one that no one, including her friends, had seen yet.

Sadie gazed for a while at the beautiful view before taking a deep breath and headed back up front to the bar. She closed her office door and went to make sure everything was set up and ready for opening. She made sure the POS system was on and working, the bottles had right sized liquor pourers on them, and the beer was chilled. She made sure that the ice was easily accessible, the jiggers could be found, and that everything was clean, including drinking glasses. When she was satisfied with everything, she went to the front door, unlocked it, and put the specially made grand reopening sign out front. Letting everyone know the bar was open. She soon went back inside and waited to see what the first day would entail on one of her new adventures.
Asher had been in town a few weeks now, but the fallout of the police station, the drug ring, the prostitution, and the media had kept the woman busy with a lot of damage control. She had barely been able to look up for weeks without Red arresting, or worse, another officer for something.

Finally the drama had settled down, and Asher stood in her apartment that had been magically cleaned and styled. It had an obvious witchy style to it, but that was just as easily chalked up to an extreme obsession rather than her actual lifestyle, if any was actually allowed to enter it. Standing fresh from her shower, Asher’s hand swept over her body as a small cloud of purple smoke surrounded her, and seconds later, she was dried, and perfectly styled in a light blue dress, and classy black heels. Jewels hung at her ears, neck and wrists, with a few very specific rings adorning her fingers. She subconsciously rubbed her thumb against one of them before she grabbed her purse, and headed out on the town.

She thought she would start with a drink, plus she had heard many good things lately about the way that her friend had turned this bar completely around. Asher chuckled lightly as she saw the obvious pirate theme from the outside, and couldn’t help but love it as she walked in. Dark brown eyes swept around the room as she walked further in, her steps quiet as she moved towards the long bar. Spotting the bombshell that was Sadie behind the bar, she grinned. “Now this is quite impressive, Sadie.” Asher said in genuine compliment as she slid into the barstool. “You have done quite a lot with this place in a rather short time.”
Sadie had been a little nervous about this new adventure, but knew she could do it. She had the support of her loved ones, friends and was making acquaintances with people in the community. She had a few what she would assume would be 'regulars' come in and check out the newly renovated bar and they seemed quite impressed. Although, she had the feeling they were looking for something a little more illegal.

She was wiping down the counters where the last person left and grabbed the empty beer bottles. She turned around a dumped them in the trash and washed her hands in the nearby small sink, which also had a small portable dishwasher next to it. She was just drying her hands when she felt a familiar presence enter the bar, although she couldn't hear the person walking, she did sense it. So, when Sadie turned around and saw Asher sitting at the bar, she smiled brightly at her long time friend. Then she heard what Asher said and felt flattered while her cheeks started blushing from the compliment. "Hey, Ace. And thank you. I put a lot of thought into this. That meant the world to me." She sincerely said, knowing what her friends and loved ones opinions of the bar were what mattered dearly for her. "I had to use a very firm hand on some of those contractors, but it got done. And done right at that." She said and added a wink, knowing Asher probably understood what she meant. "Now, what can I get you, Ace? By the way you look hell of amazing tonight, Gorgeous." She looked over her friend in admiration as she laid a
coaster down in front of Asher and waited to see what she could get her.
Asher’s dark eyes moved around the space, noting all the beautiful references to the sea and sailing. She wasn’t sure which of Sadie’s men this was for, perhaps both, but still, she rather enjoyed the lounge-type feeling.

Long legs crossed as she sat in the new barstool, and ran painted fingernails over the metal. She nodded in approval, not that Sadie needed it of course. “You’re welcome, I mean that. I like the lounge-y feel.” Her eyes glanced to the stage area. “Almost makes me think a fella in a suit and a cigarette is about to come croon to me.” She thought about that as she smiled and turned back to Sadie.

“As always, a Hurricane, although that drink is much more ironic here, I must say. And a double shot of whiskey, please.” Asher asked before turning and grabbing her, well actually, Red’s credit card. “He owes me after this last month. Throw it on here and give me the really good stuff.” She joked lightly as she winked softly at Sadie.
The moment Jasper acquired The Grog Shop his first task was setting up contracts with any local business that required alcohol. He was successful with most of the restaurants but it was the bar that was being renovated he really wanted.

Jasper pulled up and parked in front of The Black Anchor. He checked his clipboard with the order on it. As he removed the items from the work truck and onto a dolly he checked them off his list. Once the full order was accounted for he closed up his truck and angled the dolly towards him. He walked backwards through the front doors of the bar.

He paused inside the door and looked around to see what patrons were inside. Thankfully, the one face he hoped he wouldn't see was not there. With a smirk on his rugged face he announced, "Your booty is here, Captain." He pulled the dolly to the entrance of the back of the bar and parked it, careful nothing was going to fall. He moved behind the bar like he had been back there a hundred times. He went over to Sadie and gave her a kiss as a greeting. "Good night, love?"

As he pulled back from the kiss he turned and saw Asher. "Ah. I see you're here," Jasper looked around cautiously, "And off duty?" That was his nonchalant way of asking if her boss was here. He gave Sadie's back a little rub and went back to her order and started unloading it. This was his last delivery of the night and his shop was closed so he usually put the order away for her.
As Sadie waited for Asher's drink order, she followed her friend's gaze around the bar. She felt accomplished that she did this on her own and hoped that the people that have always been with her saw that they were a huge inspiration to The Black Anchor. She blended both of her men into the bar, but Asher was also a huge part of it as well and taken into consideration when renovating the place. She did pour herself into the place, but they were all a huge influence for it as well. She would let them see it on their own, of course, because they would know that she did everything with such finality that there had to be a reason for it. Even if she was indecisive in the beginning, when she makes a decision, she sticks to it.

She was pulled out of her thoughts when Asher spoke and looked to her long-time friend. She smiled at the dark eyed woman and replied, "That's actually part of what I was going for. A sort of lounge feel to it. And I bet we could find someone to serenade you if you would like, Ace." She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively at her friend and showed her a bright, friendly smile. "Maybe a little stress reliever too." She jokingly said with a chuckle.

She heard Asher's drink order and started laughing at the last part. "Well, since he is paying, who am I to say 'no' to giving you the best." She laughed as she said this and reached for the card as she went to place the order into the POS system. After getting the drink order in, she turned around and re-washed her hands followed by grabbing two whiskey glasses, one of which she filled with cubed ice. Sadie grabbed the according jiggers for measuring and cocktail shaker to get started on the mixed drink. She poured zero point seventy-five fluid ounces of Captain Morgan's spiced rum followed by the same measurement of white rum of the same brand into the shaker. She then added two fluid ounce of passion fruit juice, one fluid ounce of orange juice, point zero five fluid ounce of fresh lime juice, one teaspoon of simple syrup and grenadine into the shaker and added the lid. She then shook the cocktail shaker, mixing the drink precisely as recommended, and poured it over the ice that was in the whiskey glass. She garnished the cocktail with a cherry and a thin slice of orange.

She soon went to the double shot of whiskey and grabbed the best one she had, knowing Asher would love this one. She free poured three fluid ounces of the Macallan thirty three year single malt into the empty glass and soon grabbed both drinks. She headed towards Asher and placed one on the coaster in front of the woman, then grabbed a second coaster, placing the double shot onto it. "I hope you enjoy this, Ace. The best for you this evening." She was sincere when she said this but added a wink to be playful. "I can understand that. The last month for me has been....well, interesting to say the least." She chuckled and continued, "What did Brute do this last month that made you need a double dose and him owe you? Or do I want to know?"

She asked out of curiosity but also to keep the conversation going. She had just taken a step back from the bar when she heard the front door open and saw a very familiar backside enter with a dolly, but he had paused inside the door. She chuckled when she saw him look around at the room. Every. Time. She mused to herself and looked towards Asher. She then heard Jasper's first reply, and it made her laugh in amusement, to which she replied, "I definitely see the booty I want, my Fearless Pirate." She flirtatiously said and wiggled her eyebrows at him as he pulled the dolly towards the back entrance. She had just finished cleaning up the items from making the previous drinks when she sensed Jasper come back up front.

She turned towards where he was coming from and was just about to say something when he surprised her by greeting her with a kiss, to which she responded by deepening the kiss and savoring every second of it. As she pulled back, Sadie smiled at him while her gaze showed love in her eyes as she looked into his gorgeous blue eyes. She soon initiated one more kiss needing another. As the second kiss ended he asked if it was a good night. "It has been a pretty good night. I have had some questionable characters come in, but otherwise great. Even better now that you are here, babe. How was the shop this evening for you?" She asked him sincerely while running her hand up and down his arm. She had a smile that reached her eyes as it always did when he was around, conveying she was glad he was here. She soon broke eye contact and glanced at Asher, checking to see if she needed anything else or a refill. "Would you like anything to eat or a refill?" She had asked her friend, and that's when she saw Jasper notice Asher being there. She chuckled at Jasper when he asked Asher about being off duty because she knew what he was really asking.

Sadie felt Jasper gently rub her back, and she looked at him with a smile and love in her eyes. Knowing he was about to put the delivery away, she spoke, "If you need anything, Handsome. Let me know and I will get or do it for you." Giving his arm a gentle squeeze as he went to the back to unload the order like he had a million times before, which was very familiar for Sadie. She soon turned back towards the bar and waited to see if anyone needed anything, as she started wiping down the counter to keep her occupied.
Asher laughed lightly when Sadie told her that they could find someone to croon her, and stress relief her. Her love life had always been secretive, incredibly so, with not a trace of sex or romance around the woman, and it drove her friends crazy not to know, but the truth was, Asher still wasn’t ready for them to know. Her lips curved into a smile, that same secretive smile she gave them every time one of them asked, or suggested. “Worry not, dear Sadie. I can handle that area.”

She grinned a little when Sadie said she was going to give her the best. It was amusing, because Red’s care or her card, she always received the best at any establishment where Sadie worked. “Why, thank you, darling.” She responded as the drinks were set down infront of her. When asked exactly what her brutish boss did, Asher smirked and first took the shot in one go. She let it burn through her system as she set the glass back on the bar and picked up the Hurricane.

“This place was a mess when we got here. I can’t divulge too much, but this place, let me just say, horrid conditions. We’ve been busy with it, him especially. But you know him, he’s just cranky.” Before either woman could respond again, the door opened and Asher turned her head to see a familiar pirate walking through. She didn’t hate the man, unlike her boss, so in peace, once Jasper and Sadie had greeted one another, she rose the glass in her hand to them both, and addressed him to answer his question. “Extremely off-duty.” It was her subtle way of letting him know he was safe from the wrath of an asshole tonight. “And drinking on his card, if you’re so inclined.”

She didn’t imagine he needed a reason to stay. After all, Sadie was here of course, but she offered it nonetheless, since she was gonna be hanging out until she was just drunk enough to make it home. Her attention turned back to Sadie when the blonde asked if she needed anything else. “I’m good for now, thank you, but I will be sure to let you know when I’m not.” And with this, Asher rose the glass and drank the gorgeous liquid inside it.
He gave Sadie one of his crooked smiles as he headed back to her order, “The shop is the shop. I need some day time help to get it really up and running.” He shrugged like it really didn’t matter much to him. As he grabbed bottles out of the boxes on the dolly and turned to put them away he grinned at Asher, “You got his card and he won’t be making an appearance?” A roguish smile spread on his lips as he turned to look at Sadie, “Then once I’m done, make mine a double of the most expense bottle in the house.” Jasper and Red – Asher’s boss and Sadie’s other boyfriend – had a long history of rivalry and violence towards each other. So, the aspect of blowing a few hundred dollars of the bastard’s money was music to Jasper’s ears.

He put a little more speed into putting up the order than he normally would, but he wanted to run up that tap while he could. Soon enough the order was put away and the dolly was safely back in his truck. He slid onto the barstool next to Asher and bumped her shoulder with his in a friendly way, “How long have you been in town? I haven’t seen the normal fanfare or you doing press conferences all over the local news.” Jasper wasn’t that much of a TV watcher, but he did listen to the radio. He loved the radio. But a TV was needed in this day and age, so he had one in his condo that he used mostly for background noise or the occasional movie date.

He shifted his attention to Sadie and said in a playfully flirty tone, “Now, Barkeep, let’s see about that drink, aye?” Sadie and Asher both knew he wouldn’t actually be able to consume the drink he ordered, but that didn’t matter to Jasper. Jasper just wanted to see the drink get rung up on the tab before it was placed in front of him. “Questionable characters, huh? Did you show them a bit of the Cutthroat charm?”
Sadie chuckled at Asher's comments, especially about Red being cranky. "Well, I know you can handle that area, Ace. As for Brute, isn't that his natural mood?" She winked playfully at her friend and soon heard Jasper say he would take a double of the most expensive bottle she had, do to Red paying. She looked towards him and chuckled lightly as he went to unload her order. "You know you will get the best, baby." She replied flirtatiously with a huge grin on her face.

She turned to Asher when she heard her friend reply that she was good for now. "Alrighty! If you need anything, Ace, just let me know." She knew which bottle of liquor she would use and had acquired it from an auction for the bar a few days prior to the reopening. Sadie made a quick trip to her office where she had the Macallan 1926 in safekeeping, and when she came back, she saw Jasper sitting next to Asher and smiled. She walked back behind the bar, grabbed a coaster, and placed it in front of Jasper as he was talking to Asher. As she turned around to grab a whiskey glass, she heard Jasper's playful, flirty voice ask for that drink, which made her laugh because of the way he said it. She glanced over her shoulder and said, "Aye, Handsome. Coming right up." She winked playfully and continued with what she was doing. She soon had his drink poured, added to Asher's tab, and placed in front of Jasper. "You know the Cutthroat charm gets things done, love. I have learned from the best, after all. Maybe my wayward pirate had a big part in those lessons? Maybe he has more lessons to teach." She wiggled her eyes playfully yet suggestively towards him and smiled, staring into his eyes.

She broke eye contact and glanced at Asher with a warm smile on her face. "How's your drink, Ace?" She asked her friend and soon looked towards Jasper, having thought of something that could help her guy. "Creed's in town. Maybe he can help with your daytime operations. I know he isn't doing anything at the moment. I can ask and send him to you if you would like, babe." She reached over and ran her hand over his forearm showing she would help him as much as he has always helped her. She took a step back and thought about how her first evening was going at the bar, which she was very pleased with.
Asher somehow knew that the prospect of spending Red’s money would put a smile on Jasper’s face. After all, it put a smile on Asher’s face, and she actually liked the man. Most of the time. She looked between Sadie and Jasper a time or two, chuckling as he then ordered literally the most expensive thing he could, before she focused on her drink for a moment while Jasper finished and came to join her.

When he did, she glanced over to him as she returned his playful shoulder nudge. At the question, Asher blew out a breath as she quickly calculated the time. “About…” Asher almost opened her mouth to tell him the exact hours as she was prone to do, but realized how ridiculous that may sound. “Around a month, already. The normal fanfare, I’m sure, will accompany as things die down, but as for media attention.”

Asher looked at her watch, smirked and looked up. “Sadie-girl, would you turn on the news?” Asher smiled at her, then turned her attention to the big-screen TV as it came on, and once changed to the news, the running headline was ’Police Shut Down Prostitution Ring.’ On the TV stood the news reporter, and next to her was Asher, deep in an interview as the camera crew stood outside the bar. “This was filmed a few days ago, but Red slapped them with a gag-order until investigations were closed.” She said aloud to them, if anyone was wondering why it wasn’t live. “We had a lot of work to do, and a very short time to do it, since you were working on reopening this place at the same time.” She tilted her head towards Sadie, and those dark eyes looked at her, and then back at Jasper. “But once we were done, I took his card, and told him I was going drinking. One dismissal wave later and here we are.” She picked up her glass to cheers it with Jasper, and if he let the glass linger for a moment, a simple tap of her finger against it would give him something a little easier for him to drink.
After an hour of frustration trying to get the police chief to take a vandalism problem at the marina seriously, she had had enough and walked away to cool down. She was driving in her mud splattered, hot pink pickup truck vibrating with the rapid booming of bass notes coming from her speakers. The loud music was supposed to calm her down, but it wasn’t working. She needed an outlet. Something that wasn’t work or work related. She knew what she wanted to do – fly. But it wasn’t the right time for that. If she couldn’t fly, then the next best thing was sex. As she drove down the main drag of the city she spotted a pirate themed bar. The Black Anchor. Why not? It seemed like the kind of place where someone could find a willing partner for the night.

She parked her truck in front of the bar and stepped out. She used the remote to lock the truck and set the alarm. When she pushed the door open her mouth dropped open a little and she couldn’t help but stop and take in the beauty of this bar. It was not what she was expecting in the slightest. It was gorgeous in here. The colors were fabulous. Neriah focused on the bar and the patrons sitting at it. A couple? A dark-haired man and a dark-haired woman sat shoulder to shoulder at the bar while a blonde woman seemed to give both of them most of her attention. A threesome, maybe? Neriah was intrigued.

She was wearing khaki cargo pants that hugged her hips and well-worked thighs as a tight-fitting, olive-green tank top disappeared into those pants. She also had on black steel-toed tactical books. Her long dark hair was pulled up in a messy bun at the nape of her neck. With her curiosity going crazy she approached the bar and placed both her hands on the magnificent bar top. “Who is responsible for this stunning bar?” She offered a warm, alluring smile as she left one empty seat between herself and the dark-hair woman. If any of the others looked her way she would keep the sultry grin in place as a greeting.
At the mention of Creed Jasper perked up a little. “As amused as I would be if Creed came to me for a job, I would rather him come to me for a drink. We can discuss business once we catch up.” Jasper thoroughly enjoyed the company of Sadie’s brother and would like to see him again. It was one more way that Jasper was in a better position with Sadie than Red was. “Send him to The Grog Shop so we can catch up.” He offered a wink to Sadie, letting her know that her family was his family.

When Asher pulled their attention to the TV, Jasper looked out of pure curiosity and saw a very serious-looking reporter standing with Asher as Red dragged someone out of the cop car and into the police station in the background. The sight of Red, even through a TV screen, made him shudder. “Look at you. Covering your boss’s ass from the get go.” When Red joined Asher and the reporter a few minutes later, Jasper turned his attention away from the TV all together and paid more attention to his drink. The ring he wore on his left ring finger was more than a pretty trinket. It was a treasure he had acquired through questionable dealings. And, to him, it was undeniably valuable. He clinked the ring against the glass and the liquid inside turned to blood. He took a long drink as Asher and Sadie chatted about the imposing figure on the TV.

As they chatted someone new entered the bar. Jasper didn’t turn to look, rather he waited for the newcomer to either take a seat at one of the tables or to approach the bar. He heard the voice and concluded they were joined by a woman. He looked over and offered her a polite smile. The newcomer was speaking directly to Sadie, so Jasper didn’t offer a ‘hello’ yet.
"I will definitely send him over to your shop. I'm sure he would like to catch up with you too, Handsome." Sadie said to Jasper with a knowing smile on her face. Knowing her brother Creed actually liked Jasper and his presence, unlike Sadie's other lover Red. She soon heard Asher ask her to turn on the news, and she happily obliged her friend. Though the TV was rather large, it was also inconspicuous as to blend in when it wasn't in use. "There you go, Ace. Wonder what we shall see this evening." She playfully said to Asher and winked as she turned up the volume, although the subtitles were on. She chuckled at what Jasper said about Asher saving Red's ass and looked at him amusedly before going about her business.

She did have a few patrons at the tables, so Sadie checked on them and came back behind the bar. She looked at Asher first, "Are you still good, Ace? Want another double?" She was waiting for Asher's response when she saw out of the corner of her eye Jasper playing with a ring on his finger. That's new! She thought to herself as she saw his drink change slightly after he tapped the glass. She wouldn't say anything because she knew her guy couldn't actually drink what she gave him, but it did fascinate her. She reached over the counter and touched his hand softly with hers with need and curiosity. If he allowed it, she would run her thumb over the ring. Not to take it from him, but out of curiosity, she spoke, "Is that new, Love?" She looked into his eyes with hers and smiled at him, showing as much affection as she could possibly convey in that moment.

The trance was broken when she heard the front door open and a newcomer came into the bar. Giving Jasper's hand one last squeeze, she stepped back, and her attention was on the dark-haired female that had just arrived. She saw the look of astonishment from the new patron's eyes, and it made her feel accomplished and pride shown in her eyes. That look will never get old. She thought to herself as she walked over to where the newcomer sat down. She heard what the dark-haired woman said, and it made her smile brighten. "That would be me. My name is Sadie. Welcome to The Black Anchor." She reached out with her right hand and offered her a handshake and a sweet smile. If Neriah took the offer, she would receive a firm shake from her soft hands. She continued, "What can I get you to drink, Sweets? Looks like you may need one." As she waited patiently, Sadie took a step back if anyone needed anything of her.
For a moment, before she was addressed, Asher simply listened to the conversations going on around her. And then, as the TV flicked on above their heads, Asher’s dark eyes moved over the screen, seeing both herself and the terrifying presence that is Red standing behind her. Red said nothing more than a few phrases that Asher would’ve told him to say, while Asher took the majority of the interview. At Jasper’s comment, Asher’s eyes moved to his face and her lips smirked. “Oh, but that’s what I have always been so good at.”

At the sound of a small clink, Asher’s eyes moved down to his hand. Surprise rose her eyebrow slightly, as before she had a chance to change his drink, he did it himself. She didn’t touch the ring, but examined it from where she sat. “Well, well.” She said aloud as she looked at it, and smirked at the familiar markings. “I know where you got that.” She mused as she studied it. “And what in the world did you have to give up for that?” She asked in curiosity. When Sadie went to touch it, Asher’s hand extended before she could stop herself. “Careful, Sadie-girl. That’s blood magic. Likely built for him, and not another.”

Asher was genuinely trying to protect Sadie from any backlash the ring may carry, if it did have any. Blood-magic was a dangerous type of magic, and Asher did not wanna see her friend have an accidental problem with it. However, not meaning for things to get super serious, she smiled at her friend after she had come back to them, and nodded. “Girl, you know I will have another. So will Jasper when he’s ready.” Playfully, Asher winked at her.

Asher’s head then turned when her ears caught the sound of the heavy door being pulled open. Asher turned out of general curiosity and paranoia, but the vision she saw made her nearly gasp. A beautiful woman stepped through the bar, with the sexiest storm chasing outfit she had ever seen. Dark hair was gathered at the back of her neck, and Asher couldn’t help but watch as this woman moved across the bar, as if entranced by the things she saw. Asher could help but watch this beautiful woman move across to the bar, and engage Sadie in conversation. Because of that, Asher was not rude and interrupted, but she also couldn’t stop stealing glances at this woman, nor did she notice the light blush that started moving over her the longer she caught glances of this woman.
She had made a promise to herself that she would leave her anger in the truck. She was entering this bar for opportunity and sex and not be a pissed off a patron who broods over alcohol and complains to people who don’t really want to hear it. While making her way from the door to the bar she had felt eyes on her. She knew she attracted attention, that was the point of coming into the bar. She made her movements a little more fluid as she headed to the bar. She engaged the statuesque blonde behind the bar first, as that was the socially acceptable thing to do. She reached across the bar and took Sadie’s hand when it was offered. Her handshake was firm but still felt feminine. “Sadie,” she said sweetly. “So it’s you I should blame when I develop a drinking problem just to hang out in this magnificent place?” Her words were flirty as she gave the blonde bartender a very obvious up and down of her body. But then the fact that it looked like she needed a drink was brought up and she cocked her head to the side curious if she still looked annoyed. She thought she was hiding it. She would just have to turn up the sultry. “Bartender’s choice. Make it as sweet as you are.”

With her drink ordered she settled in the seat and turned her head to see whose eyes kept nudging her with subtle peeks. She had only seen her back until now, but as Neriah turned and saw the face of the dark-haired woman her heart literally stopped in her chest. The next time the dark-haired woman peeked her way Neriah was fast to react. Her smile widened so her teeth showed, and she was quick to bite her lower lip. If the dark-haired woman’s eyes stayed on Neriah for moment more than a glimpse, she would lean over and whisper, “I feel your eyes like they are hands on my body.” Neriah had to pause and take in breathe. She hadn’t realized she had been holding it and only had enough for that one statement. “You are enchanting. May I have your name?” The possibility of these three being in a threesome was pushed out of her mind when she saw this woman’s face.

Neriah was a sexual being. Who or where was never her concern. There only had to be attraction and desire, and this woman inspired both. Neriah also knew she had a tendency to come very strong. But what did she have to lose? If the woman wasn’t interested, there was always the bartender.
Jasper felt Sadie’s touch on his hand and looked up from his glass to smile warmly at her. When her fingers ventured too close to the ring, he pulled his hand back. In a low, gentle voice he said, “It is new.” Asher seemed to notice his hand then and he turned his head to the far wall, annoyance touching his features as his ring was recognized and commented on. To Asher’s question he turned to her and said shortly, “I little piece of my soul, okay?” He turned away from Asher and then over to Sadie. “My soul is mine to do with as I choose.” He repositioned himself on the bar chair and picked up his glass. He poured the contents of the glass into his mouth and swallowed it down. “Another, love.”

He hoped the subject was closed now that there was another person so close. Jasper wasn’t a child. He had his motives, and he understood his risks. He had made a choice and his pact was forever. Jasper placed both his elbows on the bar top and covered the rings on his left hand with his right. He placed his forehead against his fists and closed his eyes. Since he was otherwise occupied, he missed the entire exchange going on between the newcomer, Sadie, and Asher.
She gave an understanding and grateful smile towards Asher before she went and introduced herself to the newcomer. She chuckled softly at what she the dark-haired woman said. "I can't take the blame for the drinking problem, but slinging booze is in my blood." When she said this, she glanced at Jasper and smiled knowingly, letting out another small laugh. She looked back towards Neriah when she heard her drink order and jokingly said, "Coming right up. Though I'm not as sweet as you think I seem." With a wink, she went and made the woman's drink.

She grabbed a sling glass as she thought of what drink she would make Neriah. A Sweet Tart. She thought to herself as she made it with ease and mixed the ingredients precisely. She made a sugar rim on the glass and added ice, followed by pouring the mixed drink over the ice and topped it off with lemonade. She garnished it with red currants and walked back towards Neriah, grabbed a coaster, and placed the drink. She smiled at her new patron and asked, "What will be your method of payment today, Sweets?" She waited and for woman's response and would process it accordingly. "Enjoy. If you need another refill or anything, just holler for me."

She soon went to make Asher another double shot, but this one was the Macallan 1926. She grabbed the empty whiskey glass in front of Asher and placed her new drink on the coaster. She soon heard what the dark-haired woman said to her friend, which made her eyebrows rise in surprise at the woman's boldness, but it also made her chuckle softly. She shook her head and backed away slowly, but not before she reminded Asher to let her know if she needed anything else.

Sadie soon heard Jasper ask for another drink and looked towards him. "I've got you, baby." She smiled sweetly at him as she grabbed his empty glass before getting him a new one. She poured him another and rang it up on Asher's tab again. She soon placed it onto the coaster in front of him. "Are you alright, love?" She asked him genuinely concerned but affectionately as she waited for his response. She would listen to him if he spoke, but she would understand if he did not want to or at least not at the moment. She smiled at him, letting him know she was here for him and went back to clean up the items she used to make drinks. Getting them ready for use again.
“I meant no offence, I was only asking.” Asher understood that there could be a line when it came to magical items, being made of magic herself, but the look on her face, if he looked would convey that she meant nothing by the question except curiosity. She also kept feeling her eyes move towards that woman, no matter how hard she tried not too. It wasn’t intentional, but as soon as Asher heard that woman’s voice, she couldn’t help but look at the mysterious woman who had entered. It was like melted chocolate, sweet and seductive, and it took Asher like a shot. The woman walked close to her side when she went to speak to Sadie, and Asher couldn’t stop herself from looking.

In an effort not to appear rude, or god forbid, creepy, Asher initially turned away from her and back to Jasper, and her drink, but when that chocolate-voice whispered those words to her, Asher’s heartbeat shot through the fucking roof. She didn’t know if it was the instant lust that stirred without permission, or the simple boldness of the sentence, but either way, Asher wasn’t prepared. She got a quick handle on it because she knew her friends in the bar would definitely hear it, but it did have Asher turning back to the woman. Even more surprisingly, the woman managed to get a light blush out of Asher.

“Well, aren’t you bold.” Asher replied softly, intrigued by her. As she was asked for her name, Asher smiled softly, and held a hand out to greet her. “I’m Asher.” Her concentration was momentarily broken when Sadie put the drink down infront of her, and Asher’s eyes looked at her with a thank-you in them. She watched for just a second as Sadie returned to Jasper, before she turned back to the beautiful woman. “Please, tell me your name.” Because Asher could only imagine it was as beautiful as she was.
A dark figure in a corner booth nearly hidden in shadows and behind a large hardbacked book. The proprietor of the establishment had come by a few times to check on his needs and offer refills. Sometimes he accepted the refill, other times he waved her off silently. His purpose was to watch. He had arrived in this forgotten hamlet weeks ago and started watching. He watched the riff raff that had taken over and poisoned this once thriving city carted away by a formidable force in the form of the new police chief. He watched as a few businesses were purchased by newcomers to the city and renovated into respectable businesses. Why they were all living in the crappiest condos in the city he didn’t understand, but his mission was to watch not to understand the reasoning behind the actions.

It was while he was watching he first felt the pull. It was a pull like none he had ever experienced. It was an intensity he was powerless to fight. An intensity so formidable that it caused something emotional to happen inside of his chest and in his brain. It was a sensation his dragon had been waiting for since awakening centuries ago. He found that when he left the city the pull lessened to something akin to an emptiness. A cavern opened inside his chest, and it was impossible to endure. He found he couldn’t stay away for more than a few hours before he absentmindedly returning. It was when he was walking by one of the newly purchased buildings that was being renovated that he understood the draw. Even though he had never laid eyes on her before he knew her. He knew her soul. She was the reason he had been sent here. He understood everything now.

But, like all great love stories, there was a hindrance. She had lovers. Two he believed. One was the police chief and the other the owner of a liquor store. He didn’t understand the pairings. The men were about as different as they could possibly be from each other. This is where the watching came in. It wasn’t stalking; it was research. To be considered stalking there would have to be an obsession to harass someone. He wasn’t obsessed with any of the three, he was just learning about them from afar. He wanted to understand the relationships. The males seemed to hate each other enough to call each other public enemies. (All information gathered from profiles and assumptions made)

On this night, he entered the bar as one of the first patrons and, like just like any other, listened. He knew of the police chief’s right hand, but he wasn’t interested in her. He did owe her though as tonight’s listening had gained him ample information he didn’t have before. The liquor store owner was Jasper. The police chief was Red. There was a brother named Creed. And his reason for being here was named Sadie. All people he would need to understand to approach Sadie in a way that might not completely freak her out.

As he listened, he noticed the change in interaction between Sadie and one of her lovers, Jasper. He seemed cold towards her. Like he was trying to withdraw. Maybe he was protecting her from the ring he wore, but the shortness with which he answered her made Fitzpatrick look up from his book and towards the bar. It was the first time he had looked in the direction of the bar since he had entered. Should he keep quiet and continue to just listen or should he make his entrance in this little play and stir some things up?

He tucked his book into his black leather satchel and placed the strap over his head and on the opposite shoulder. He wore a grey suit, obviously of designer origins but the designer did not matter. It was a finely tailored suit that fit him perfectly. He approached the bar and took the seat next to a very uneasy Jasper who was clearly annoyed. But it was when Sadie called Jasper baby that Fitzpatrick lost the war with his tongue. “You call someone who holds you in such disdain ‘Baby’?” He didn’t mean to say it. It slipped.
Neriah watched Sadie with curious eyes. She watched the way she moved behind the bar, taking small opportunities to glance at her body. “If sweetness isn’t your thing, make it hot and spicy?” She giggled softly when Sadie set the drink in front of her. “This looks fabulous, hawt stuff.” Neriah reached into her front pocket and removed a hundred dollar bill. She set it on the bar, placed her index finger in the middle of the bill and slid it towards Sadie. “As Billy Bones said in Treasure Island, ‘Let me know when I’ve worked my way through that’.” She was trying to show she had intelligence under the sexual allure. She just kept it hidden away as it intimidated most people. “I will be ahollerin’ for you, cutie.” She brought the drink to her lips and sipped it as a smile spread across her red lips.

It was with bated breath that Neriah waited for the dark-haired woman to acknowledge her. She never knew how women would respond to her. Some just smiled and turned away, clearly not interested. Others would flirt but with no seriousness behind it. And some rare flowers actually mirrored her interest. She was curious what she would find in the dark-haired woman’s actions. Neriah slipped off her seat and took a few steps towards Asher’s offered hand. Her hand wasn’t silken or soft, but it also wasn’t rough or calloused. They were hands that knew work but were much more accustomed to typing rather than building. She took Asher’s hand and just held it in hers as dark eyes met dark eyes. Neriah waited as Asher’s attention was stolen for a moment but was patient for it to return to her. “Neriah. Dr. Neriah Blossom,” she said wanting to appeal to this gorgeous woman.

Still holding Asher’s hand, Neriah’s head turned to glance at the tv. “Well, look who is on the news,” she said flirtatiously as she started to turn back to Asher. However, just as her eyes were about to leave the screen, she saw him and her eyes narrowed. She glanced at Asher, “I take you work for the police department?” She made the correlation as Asher was standing in front of the police station and making a statement about a bust that occurred a few days ago. Not to mention, the asshole of a police chief was standing at her side. Neriah wasn’t attracted any less to Asher. If anything, she wanted to cozy up even more to Asher. “I went to talk to him earlier about a problem at the docks but I don’t think he listened to me.” Neriah would continue to hold Asher’s hand until the woman pulled it away.

Meanwhile, drama seemed to be unfolding behind Asher as the dark-haired male was annoyed and another dark-haired male was calling him on it? She was barely paying attention to them though.
