Sadie headed towards her office after making sure the employees there were set up for the day. She had so many thoughts on her mind that she was unsure where to start as she entered her office. She didn't bother turning on the lights as she walked towards a massive curtain that covered her window wall and pulled it to the side while she pinned it with the curtain holder. Once she had opened them, she had all the light she needed and quite possibly the best view she could see from her office. The ocean. As her gaze was mesmerized by the view, she decided where she would start with for that day. Though her mind kept veering off course with more personal matters, she finally decided to do some paperwork.
Inhaling deeply to clear her head, she turned around and went to her desk. She figured she would start on inventory until the employee she had asked to come to her office could discuss some business with each other. She had left the door open when she first walked in to let people know she was available if or when she was needed. Until then, she would look over some paperwork and try to get most of that out of the way before the day got busier.

Sindy waddled behind Sadie and headed to the office as soon as possible. To her dismay, she ended up stopping by the restroom along the way. After washing her hands, Sindy made her way to the office. Upon reaching the open door, Sindy was greeted by Sadie getting some paperwork squared away. After a moment of staring at the ocean view, Sindy proceeded to knock on the door firmly. Once Sadie looked up, that was her queue to enter the office so that they could talk one on one.
Upon entering, Sindy sat down in one of the chairs in front of the desk and made eye contact with Sadie whilst cradling her swollen belly. "You said you wanted to talk to me about a couple of things before it gets busy?" She asked.
Sindy eagerly waited for the discussion to begin. Given the mention of them being new T-Shirts for Employees, she could only guess that it was a part of the discussion.

She could sense someone was coming towards her office but didn't look up from the paperwork she had started on. She briefly glanced up when she saw Sindy in her doorway staring out her window. She smirked as her gaze went back to the paper she had just finished reading, and softly spoke, "It's a beautiful view, isn't it?" She asked this not expecting an answer because she herself was always captivated by the scene itself. She heard Sindy politely knock and then walk into the office. She offered her to have a seat in one of the chairs in front of her desk.
"Yes. I do. First off, you aren't in trouble or anything. But I am changing the schedules here at the bar. To better accommodate and to have a safer environment. She paused and smiled softly at Sindy to show her she meant it before she continued. "I did get shirts made with The Black Anchor logo made on them. It's good for business and differentiates the staff from the patrons. The customers to distinguish who the employees are when they need something."
She looked to Sindy, seeing if she understood what she was saying. Then, she waited for her response before she moved on to the next topic. "With your impending labor, I wanted to move you to the day shift floor manager position. It's getting very dangerous for other employees and yourself with you behind the small confines of the bar. The fast pace of the business is not something I am comfortable with if you are behind the bar. So, I would like to promote you to a managerial position for the day. It would include a pay raise, of course." She finished speaking and waited for Sindy's response.

Sindy took a deep breath after Sadie stated that she was not in trouble. Granted half of that is because she had some trouble breathing as she approached the later to final stages of her pregnancy. Looks like there'll be some schedule changes. And shirts for the employees. Well, it would certainly help because when not behind the counter, employees would just blend in with the patrons and it would be hard to tell who's who. That was troublesome if there were delayed drinks, which leads to unhappy patrons, which leads to other unwanted outcomes. "It probably doesn't help that the bartenders, like me, are dressed in a way that we blend in with our patrons. I know I've been pretty bad about that as of late." She grimaced a little. "Now...what changes are being made to the schedules?" She asked with curiosity.
What came next surprised her. While Sindy saw the change to dayshift, the move up to floor manager for the day was surprising. However, she did frown when Sadie stated that it was getting very dangerous for her co-workers and herself when she worked behind the counter. However, Sadie wasn't wrong and Sindy was inclined to agree. It was getting increasingly more and more difficult for Sindy to mix drinks because of the distance between her and the counter due to the size of her belly. Not mention the other bartenders couldn't really squeeze behind her anymore, or it was just really hard to do so. And that could eventually lead to drinks and bottles falling off of shelves, bumping into each other and other hazards that would probably have the Health Inspectors coming down on the Black Anchor like a bunch of angry vultures.
As she thought about it, those night shifts were killing her. So the move to day shift made sense and would be easier on her Doctor's Appointments and her sleep schedule. So it would benefit her and the Black Anchor as a whole. The promotion was for a good cause, safety and business. Though as soon as Sadie mentioned a raise that accompanied the promotion, Sindy's stomach responded for her with an eager growl, prompting her cheeks to turn beet red. "Excuse me..." She sighed after that loud growl. "Well, you're not wrong. I am admittedly getting pretty uncomfortable behind the counter because of the distance between me and the counter when mixing drinks because of how big I've gotten. And just one mishap can lead to disastrous results." She smiled faintly.
The other thing that she felt bad about was bumping into her co-workers stomach first. Because it was always awkward whenever that happened. And being out on the floor will allow for more space. Well, unless it got exceptionally busy and it was super crowded. But that was gonna be normal if there were any big events going on. "Alright, I'll be managing the floor today. Hopefully there won't be too much...um...belly bumping." She chuckled, looking Sadie in the eye.

She waited for Sindy to speak when she heard a very loud noise coming from the woman in front of her desk. She quirked an eyebrow and chuckled lightly as she nodded for her to continue. She listened to Sindy agree and repeat back everything Sadie had previously stated about the changes. When she got to changing Sindy's work schedule, she listed off the job description. She let Sindy know she would be managing the employees during her shift, would be taking over inventory, and would be dealing with customers in case of any issues.
As Sindy agreed to taking the day shift floor manager position, she moved on to the last thing. A really important one at that. "As you saw, I hired another bartender, Megan. Also, the kitchen is up and running. I have hired a kitchen manager who will be handling that, and he starts today. Are there any other concerns or questions?" She looked towards Sindy with a small smile and waited for her response if there was one. When they were done, she would let Sindy go back up front and get situated for the start of the day. While she would finish the paperwork, she had started until she was needed, or someone came to her office again.

Sindy took a deep breath as the job description was laid out for her. She probably should have taken the position sooner, but didn't because she was stubborn if not anything else. Maybe she can go back to bartending after the little ones arrive and she gets back from maternity leave? That's another conversationf for another time though. After the description was laid out, Sindy only nodded. Although managing employees was probably going to be okay, inventory was gonna suck and hopefully customers were gonna be okay.
After Sindy agreed to the new terms, she was notified that another Bartender and a Kitchen Manager have been hired. When asked if there were any other questions or concerns, Sindy shook her head. "I don't have any questions at this time. But if any come up later, I'll be sure to come find you." She said with a smile.
And with that, their meeting came to an end. Sindy smiled and slowly got out of the chair before waddling out of the room and started making her way to the Employee Lounge to pick up one of the new shirts that Sadie mentioned in the beginning of their meeting.
