Tess enjoyed coming to the marina after working, and also to inspire her photography. A camera was kept at her side, and the tye-dye strap slung over a bare shoulder. She brushed aside her long blonde hair, and her eyes scanned the view. Some ships coming in late to dock at their ports, some fishermen coming in with their catch and weighing what they caught to sell at market. The mixture of the salty air, the smell of diesel and fish filled the air, and the air was starting to get dense as the sun was lowering. Tess snapped a few frames, and she checked them on the screen.
She moved from one floating dock to the other, careful not to lose a shoe, or her balance. She made her way back up to the pier, and she leaned over the ledge and watched from a different vantage point. She wished she had worn more clothing than what she currently had on. A tank top with the view of a black underneath, and to throw in some shorts. Tess felt the cool later day breeze as it blew by her.

Red had been spending a lot of time at the marina since his breakup. He was lonely, and the water was a comfort to him in the long hours of the night. And sometimes the day. The water reacted to him, calmed him, soothed him. It was life and death, power and a mix of something in between. He loved it, as much as one like him could love, and so he went every day. Sometimes it was to chase a criminal, and sometimes it was just because.
Today was one of those just because days. Asher had ordered him away from work for a while, since his brutality was sparking where it shouldn’t, and it was not so gently suggested that he get out of the office. So, here he was, dressed casually in his jeans and black shirt, with loose boots that could easily be kicked off if he wanted, or needed. He walked the marina, his head full of his thoughts, when he heard a sudden, but small noise.
Curiously, he followed that noise until he came across a girl he sometimes saw. Blonde girl, pretty. It was what she was doing here that made him step forward. Sent away from work or not, he still retained his title and his power. “Hello?” He called out, curious to see if she would answer back.

Tess smiled as she kept snapping a few photos and she looked at the small screen to view what she had just taken. She smiled and she put the cap back on as she walked around the dock and she kept her camera close to her side. She looked at the old men with the fishing poles and used small chunks of bait, and casting their lines out far. Maybe catch their dinner for the night? She took the lens off her camera and took more photos. She watched for a moment, and walked away.
A few moments after she had rested herself against the wooden beamed railing she heard someone speak and she looked over at the tall gentleman. She looked at him and she shifted her weight slightly. " Good afternoon,"said Tess softly as she looked at him. She brushed away some more hair that blew in to her face.

The giant of a man towered over the girl, but he made no attempt to move or harm her. He only watched as she fiddled with her camera. He remembered seeing her on occasion before, wandering the marina and the town, taking her pictures, but he wasn’t ever sure what she was doing it for.
He’d never been able to find anything about her or her pictures that suggested a criminal act, so for a while, he had stopped paying attention, leaving it in the hands of his officers, but here she was again. His blue eyes looked at her eyes as he leaned against the railing. He wasn’t good with small talk, though. On an average basis, he wasn’t that good at regular conversation, so rather than try, he simply asked; “What are you doing?” He indicated the camera when he asked.
