To strive in society, you must fit in. You must stay within your flock. You must be uniformed. To follow the beaten path and look the part. Those who do not fit in get ridiculed and shunned away. They become The Outcasts of society, as they stray from the flock and form their own packs, searching for the unbeaten path and inspire those who are afraid of choosing themselves over the safe and superficial community.

The Outcasts of Crossvale is a loose community of people who are different in every way: aesthetically and in mindset. Those who seek individuality and seek their own lifestyle. Just because in human evolution being different meant you'd have the short end of he stick, does not mean that you should do it alone.

The Outcasts are just like you: people with jobs, dreams and desires - but they are free.

Introduction and rules

Hello and welcome to The Outcasts a group dedicated to the alternative characters: goths, punks, hippies, metalheads, emos, bikers, greasers or anything else that by definition goes against the norm or the mainstream. Even characters who have an undefined style that can fit under the umbrella term of the alternative are welcome! In case you're not sure if your character could apply due to the vague nature of their styles (meaning it's not on the nose type of alternative) feel free to shoot Megan a message.

This is a 18+ group for players who want to enjoy the experience in the surroundings filled with like-minded individuals hen it comes to art, music and aesthetic, indulge in their lifestyle and play out your fantasies! It is taking place modern day setting in a large city in the US.

Disclaimer: This group is encouraging behaviors that only adults should be exposed to - sex, drugs (and rock & roll), including violence and profanity. Place to form relationships and live deliciously!

Supernatural characters are welcome only if they appear human/use human form and are not older than 20th century (1900). The reason for the second rule is for the sake of nuance. But in case you have a character you want to include in the group that is older than 1900s, you can make adjustments in the Introduction forum and change their background to suit the group's rules.

The non-alternative characters may be applied if they serve a purpose, such as following: police officers and from other emergency establishments, owners of non-alternative locations (such as a normal restaurant or cafe), private detectives, relatives of active characters. In short - non-alternative characters who will serve a purpose in the universe will be accepted. If you have a character or an idea for one in mind that you think that can be applied for this position, feel free to contact Megan.

Rules:
- You MUST be 18+ as well as your characters.
- All characters' faceclaims must be realistic, real life references are preferred for the sake of group aesthetic and consistency. (even if your avatar is not of your character or is an art piece, as long as your character has a realistic faceclaim within the profile, that's all that matters)
- Respect one another. There will be no tolerance for bs and offending others.
- Political, religious and other sensitive subjects that may offend people or cause conflict are strictly prohibited. This group is a place of an escape from the real world. The Outcasts is a place for creativity and fun, added with a bit of in-character drama. I am sure we have all heard enough of these topics. Admins will not tolerate conflicts, bigoted comments or microaggressions.
- In roleplays and in-character posts, minimally two paragraphs are required.
- What the admins say will go and when players require help, it is admin's responsibility to offer help as soon as they can.

That's all of the rules! It is not strict, you have enough freedom to fully enjoy the in-character world and let your characters shine!

This is still WIP. There will be more added in time, such as clubs, pubs/bars, apartment buildings where characters can claim their place of residency, areas where they can work and other things!
