  • Resident Buildings

Resident buildings have apartments that can be claimed by the characters, and also share with other characters as roommates or partners/friends. The apartments can be claimed by visiting the forums with the apartment building names. Any apartment that is marked as VACANT is inhabited by "normie" NPCs such as following examples: an old cat lady, family of three, a loner, students etc until a character claims that spot. The NPCs can be interacted with, either by founders or the players, as long as those interactions are insignificant story-vise.

Some places allow pets as well, and some places have very particular secrets. Some of these secrets may be a bit whimsical and strange, others may be terrifying.

The in-character information: Roleplays that take place in resident buildings are free-form. Characters can freely visit each other and also practice in whatever activities they please in the privacy of their apartments. Players can post images of the rooms and share how they decorate them.

    Downtown Suites

ctw3N0D.jpeg Set in the heart of the Downtown area with a small local diner Waverly Diner sharing the complex, it is affordable, even though it's not the most peaceful area, with the streets always buzzing with activity, as well as nearby bars and crime activity in the dead hours of the night.

The apartment building has three floors with three apartments on each floor.

The last time this building had been renovated was in the 1930s due to the fire that nearly destroyed the entire complex. The source of the fires is still unknown to this day, but it has been officially determined to be foul play, with the perpetrator presumed dead. Based on the records and stories from the survivors, there was one of the residents that they believed was clinically insane. He would go to the laundry room floor and would not exit for hours. That part of the laundry room had been locked away for unknown reasons. Due to this tragedy, the fire escapes on the exterior of the building had been built.

Supernatural elements: This building is haunted. Smell of smoke can sometimes fill the air with no sign of any actual smoke or fires. The pipes make loud noises in certain hours of the night, and some people claim they hear running footsteps in the hallways. People with supernatural affinities can encounter ghosts of men and women that have passed in the tragedy.

    Apartment floors

Ground floor: downward stairway leads to the basement and laundry room. The laundry room has a door that has been locked with an old padlock and chain that seem untouched and rusted.
First floor: Apartments - 01 (VACANT), 02 (VACANT), 03 (VACANT)
Second floor: Apartments - 04 (VACANT), 05 (VACANT), 06 (Church)
Third floor: Apartments - 07 (Megan), 08 (VACANT), 09 (Ophelia)
Rooftop: Perfect place to sunbathe in the summer, some residents brig out their washed laundry to dry and care for their plants. There are some plastic chairs and tables where people can mingle.

    Flamingo trailer park

rGfyOkn.jpegFor those who wish a slow, yet challenging lifestyle, the kind that is cheap, slightly isolated from the urban life of Crossvale, or you simply cannot afford an apartment - the trailer park is the suitable option, though not the most ideal one. In case you don't have a mobile home, you can rent one fairly cheap, though the accommodations would leave much to be desired.

Though it has its charm, especially those who seek to avoid the society and live in anonymity. The trailer park has a tight knit community of interesting and some unsavory people. Criminals, drug addicts, people who used to be homeless, runaway children and former celebrities that either chose this kind of life in order to escape from the spotlight and leave it behind or their fall from grace was catastrophic and they ended up right at the bottom.

Washing clothes is a challenge, due to not having accommodations to do so, often you'd need to get close to people from the park whether you like or not so you can get certain resources, but if you end up on everyone's good graces, you will end up being a park of the pack. Campfires, barbeques, hiking and looking for the water streams in the nearby forest - this kind of life would require you to improvise and survive, but you will also learn a lot of things.

Supernatural elements: There's quite a few A lot of people here are werewolves and shapeshifters. And in the nearby forest, there's a lot of things making noise at night and it's not animals. There's also a lot of hippies here, as well.

Occupants: There is no limited number of people who can live here. Whoever reserves a trailer for their characters, will be added to the list.

  • Restaurants, pubs and bars

These places are public domains where majority of open roleplays take place where characters can freely come and go, interact with each other and form connections.

In restaurants, pubs and bars, characters can also be employed full or part time, making these locations as a perfect opportunity for them to always be present and open more opportunities for interactions whenever other characters gather.

    Waverly Diner

0BivJav.jpeg Waverly Diner is sharing the same building as the Downtown Suites, making it a local place for the residents in case they don't have the time or don't feel like making themselves a meal to visit this place that has been running for over 50 years.

The owner is a nice old man who inherited this business from his father and kept it running for decades, his recipes are the perfect old-school fast food - the real American way from the 20th century. The place is small, cozy, with a diverse set of faces that visit this place, but there's a lot of familiar places that would come and enjoy the food. Its a perfect, unassuming place, it does not reflect the fast-paced and loud life of the Crossvale and smoking is allowed inside.

Before Waverly Diner was open, during the early 20th century, word says that this place used to be a book store that worked 24/7. During the day, a very kind and young woman was working there and tending to the shop, however during the nighttime there was a man who would work until the morning and always wore sunglasses and was particularly pale. He was always slouched and his expression completely unreadable and unwelcoming.

There were reports that a man who might've been the perpetrator of the fires that almost consumed the building had been the friends of the elusive man in the book shop, often seen visiting him at night. There are conspiracies that the fires had started from the book shop, making it incredibly easy with all that paper for the fires to spread. While the building stood despite the internal damages, the book shop was completely destroyed and the entire thing needed to be renovated from ground up, before it became a diner.

There were whispers that the secret room in the laundry area is connected to the storage unit of the book store. The man who worked nights was never seen, nor were there an remains that could prove his demise.

Supernatural elements: In the diner itself, there are none, but peculiar people gather here. However, if one has access to the storage basement of the diner, dark energy is heavy and present.

    Owner: A nice, elderly man
    Waiter: Natasha
    Chef: Position available

    Bethel Saloon

5f9a006eb73ba7209f2b4e36195de6b6.jpgClose to the gas station right on the outskirts of town, is the home to the biker gang local to the city. Both the protectors and the criminals, this place is reserved to the hardest and toughest people, ones that are deserving of respect from he locals and not to be messed with. Bethel Saloon on the outside is styled to look like a saloon inspired by the old western films, but on the inside it's a non-conformist mess. It is unorderly, authentic and loud. Rock music plays 24/7, girls very often come here to get the chance with one of the local bikers and this is also where a lot of meetings happen.

The bikers often have run ins and problem with the police, yet rarely are they getting arrested, as they do a lot of public services, such as protecting children and animals, and hurting bad people. The latter, local police officers have no problem with, as long as the scene is cleared from any evidence that could convict them.

It's a great place to come and chill with a cold pint of beer while listening to dad rock, as the youngsters dubbed it, though at night it can get pretty crowded. Occasionally on the weekends, some rock bands would come and play for a gig. However, other times the bar is completely closed except for the members of the biker club, whenever something significant happens or when they're celebrating. These are their headquarters and you're in their turf - you are obligated to respect it and everyone inside, if you want to stay away from trouble.

Supernatural elements: A varied presence of different powers, though it is not set on single species. A lot of them are present, especially if they have some of their own dealings, and a number of bikers are inhuman, too.

Owner: Open position (must be a biker or related to them)
    Bartender: Open position
    Waiter: Open position

  • Clubs, strip clubs and 18+ places

Much like the restaurants, bars and pubs, this section has a lot of opportunities for open roleplays, offering the players and characters to indulge in the company of others, however this section would offer some unsavory and unsafe activities.

These places are where sexuality is expressed, characters will be present in surroundings where people are intoxicated and high, and they also may be exposed to bumping into creatures of the night.

    This is where sinners come.

    Bar Sinister

udMR439.jpeg A goth's wet dream - an 18+ club that has been rebuilt in an abandoned cathedral. In this place, every night is Halloween and every month, there are thematic events where people can indulge in their fantasies with dress codes - vampire night, synthwave parties, industrial metal, BDSM themed costumes, and more. They don't have any live performances, but they have DJs coming for dark rave events and singers mostly during synthwave nights.

It is lively, loud, freaky and hot. People with peculiar tastes and appearances flock to this place, as it is encouraged to be your freaky self. While openly the bar would not tolerate drug use, it would become obvious once you're in the dingy toile or amidst the moving crowd, everyone is on something and fully indulging in what the night brings.

There are hanging cages from the ceilings in which both male and female dancers would perform and dance the night away, Bar Sinister is truly an experience for all who really want to show up best dressed and lose it for the night.

The story behind the abandoned cathedral is a little obscure, but the most accepted fact was that there were severe plumbing issues after the many renovations. However, one very successful business had the idea of turning the old abandoned church that was on a waiting list of being demolished, which would be an absolute waste due to its beautiful architecture. However, very few people know the individual behind the funding of the Sinister Church.

Supernatural elements: Flooded with vampires on a nightly basis, as it's their feeding ground. Very often supernatural creatures flock to this place, but vampires are the most frequent patrons here, unsurprisingly.

    Owner: Open position
Bartender: Faye (two characters can work as bartenders)
Dancers: Church (up to five characters can work as dancers, all genders)
    Bouncers: Open position (two characters)
DJs - Megan (more are welcome)

  • Establishments and businesses

Establishments and businesses are opportunities and locations where your characters get to own their own specific businesses. They can range from tattoo and body modification studios, instrument and music shops (music shops can range from vinyl and original CD shops, band merch, and anything that has to do with music), barbers and hair saloons, clothing stores and boutiques, sex shops, gym, any form of private business that your characters can own and work at, as long as it is not bar/care/restaurants or fast food places, as they have their own category.

You can send Megan requests if you want to have your own establishment with the details about the place on it's history and how it functions, as well images of your choosing on how you want your place to look like!

These places can have their own backgrounds and can be places where the supernatural groups can also gather and have it be their headquarters, as well as have gang associations under the surface where they have their own functions.

The in-character information: Roleplays that take place in these establishments are open, as they can have 1x1 functions.

Velvet Underground tattoo and body mod studio

gl-1480816-1744183673.jpg Velvet Underground is a tattoo and body modification studio that had existed since the 70's and had been the most popular and frequented location that had been popular among The Outcasts shortly after their inception. It is a professional studio with skilled employees and excellent customer service, with sanitized equipment, as well as great sense of safety for those who seek it.

Started by a very influential punk rebel since the studio's inception, it always had a bad rep among the normies who did not understand the movement, the woman who opened up this place made sure that this is a zone that any form of discrimination is strictly forbidden, which created a very judgment-free zone where every individual who want to be walking canvases is free to express themselves and with that, a community was created.

Velvet Underground became very popular where successful bands who started locally in Crossvale had helped with the success of the studio, where each year the studio would start up projects that would end up with donations to various charities. It had gained the reputation of rebellious humanitarians whose hearts are in the right place, despite being the root of bad reputation among the ignorant population who merely look a the appearances and not what's under the surface.

This is a reputable safe space for The Outcasts, with the workers who are professional and advocates for the protection of the innocent and diverse community of people who got to be villainized simply for looking different and expressing themselves.

Supernatural elements: None currently to mention, it is open to change if characters wish to associate themselves with this crowd.

    Owner: Open position
Tattoo artist: Ophelia (up to two characters)
Body modification specialists (piercings and other): Open position (up to three characters)
