After years of active roleplaying in groups, I have been facing a problem that often reared its head - inconsistent order of posts. Meaning that some players would post when it's not their turn to post.
Which means that, even in open roleplays, it is important to communicate with active players in group settings to make sure everyone has their turn. If its not your turn to post, please wait until everyone in order writes their post, UNLESS another player agrees with letting you post first (whether they won't be able to write their post for whatever amount of time or it's more dramatically fitting for your character to post before them, no matter what the scenario is.)
This falls under the respect policy of our group.
HOWEVER, when this rule is not as important, is if the group roleplay has characters who are not interacting with everyone at once. For example: a scene is happening in a club, there are two characters who are at the dancefloor and not interacting with any other characters, three people are at the bar and four are at the lounge area. Then you can post after the partners your characters are interacting with, as it won't affect overall story or flow of the roleplay considering that majority of the characters are in separate places at the same time, but don't post before someone who is in the same group and wait for your turn.
I hope this rule makes sense! Feel free to message me if you have any questions about this rule at any point!

I second this...with vigor.
