It's hard, living alone, but it's harder with a family. Due to complications in your life, you decide that you just can't take it anymore... That you had the means to support yourself. So, one night while on the computer, chatting with some friends you had met about a year ago, you all decide to live together. It took some arranging, but you were all able to rent an apartment together in New York, New York. Unfortunately for you all, the only apartment that was easily affordable between you was one in a complex placed in a rather shady part of town. It was better than home, though, that was for sure...

Crow Sytian
He was the first one up at the apartment on the fourth floor, and things were looking good. The room was clean, it didn't smell like weed, and the furniture was sturdy. Life would be easier now… The handsome brown haired boy never had much trouble with money, but he was never good at avoiding detection. Hiding from his father took a lot of work, what with having to dye his blonde hair brown every couple months and hiding his deep green eyes behind brown contacts that made his eyes look almost gold. Something inside him kept him paranoid that he would be found one day, and that fear was what pushed him to take this risk, living with people who were essentially strangers.

Leaning back on a chair by the window, he sighed, his head rested on his right hand while the other held a leather-bound book open for him to skim. With the rain outside, there really wasn't much else to do. He smiled to himself, though, the calming pitter patter of rain making him feel relaxed. Everyone was supposed to arrive today. For the first time in a year, he was going to meet the people that he had been chatting with. It made him glad that he took a moment to get Internet connection for his phone. It made communicating easy, and who would have known that it was so fun?

Crow smiled, unable to keep himself focused enough to read his book, so he just leaned himself back, shutting his book and setting it on his lap, just waiting happily, tapping his shoe on the ground.

Mayia Arakai Hikamaru
Was… she really making the right choice? She had been talking with these people in a chat room for just over a year, and yes, it was getting harder for her to provide for herself since her hours had been cut down… But these people… They were strangers. She sighed to herself, her hands gripping tightly to the handle of her umbrella. She didn't have much else to go on… If she stayed in her old condo, if she missed payment on rent one more time, then she was going to end up homeless.

Mayia sighed, looking down at the piece of paper in her hand. She needed to find the address… but she had never been very good with directions. She only had one suitcase, and it was rather small, packed with clothes, shampoo, two towels, and a few necessities which included medication and gauze. There wasn't much else that she needed. Just a roof over her head and she would be fine… She didn't have the means to be going to school, so she just needed some work to get her going. Luckily for her, seeing as she had been living in Lindenhurst.

The twenty year old was fortunate enough to find the neighbourhood… but from there, she was a bit stuck. Every building she looked at had strange jumps in numbers. She frowned to herself, her little suitcase strapped to her back. She really would have preferred to find the apartment soon if she could, since she was just under five feet tall, and rather light, making her very vulnerable…
Iris had spent the entirety of the night packing her backpack for the trip, sitting alone in the dark looking like a little gremlin over her bag. She packed the essentials; Money, clothes and sanitary products. She was too excited to sleep for the rest of the night so she'd set out early. The whole year she'd been talking to her friends online, she'd been the happiest she'd ever been. Then, when they finally suggested the unthinkable; that they not only meet but actually live together, she hadn't believed her luck. She'd wanted to get out of town for a long time, she hated it here and she hated everyone in it. So she'd hardly hesitated when the offer arose.

She was just stepping off the bus now, unfolding the map she'd bought and the address on a separate piece of paper. She'd taken the bus as close to the apartment as she could, but now was the hard part. Negotiating a foreign neighborhood. She glanced around, biting her index finger as she often did when she was worried. Now that she was so close, she couldn't think straight. Her lungs felt tight and she pulled at her hoodie. God, what was she thinking? Technically, they were strangers and she was well, a kid. Most of them were so much older, and hell, she might have exaggerated her age a little.

But she was stuck now, she'd made a stupid decision and now she had o face the consequences. What was the worst that could happen? They sent her home? As if anyone would have noticed her absence, it'd take a couple more days before that happened. She sighed, pulled her hood over her head and began to walk towards the apartment. It'd didn't look like a great neighborhood, but she'd been at worse. She looked around, the neighborhood didn't have the same numbering system as back in her own neighborhood. She frowned grumpily, who could give her directions? She sighed and rubbed her eyes, she'd never done something as risky as this and she was already regretting it.
Jordan woke up from his nap once he heard his front door close and his brother and sister screaming in excitement from their mother being home.Jordan grabs his two gym bags full to the top with clothes along with anything that was important to him throwing them around his shoulders taking a deep breath while looking around his room Jordan smiles before heading down stairs seeing the tears in his mothers eyes, she didn't want him to go but she understood why he was leaving and loved him for it. Jordan gave his mother a huge feeling her grab his body as if he was going off to war when he was just moving to the other side of town with completely strangers so to speak but if he had told his mother that then she really wouldn't let him go and they literally couldn't afford that.

Once his mother had let him go Jordan got in his car and began to drive to the other side of town with the thoughts in his head going a million miles an hour about his new roommates, every thought about how'd they look at him judging him right away even though he had been speaking to these people for a year there were still some parts of his life he left out. Once he had gotten into the neighborhood Jordan could see that he treated in one bad neighborhood for a worse one, he lived in New York his entire life and if there was one thing he learned everyone has a place they feel safe, to some it was uptown where the streets were clean and it cost 27 bucks for a haircut, but to him it was sirens in the background and gangs on every corner so this didn't scare him one bit.

Jordan parks a couple blocks away from the apartment grabbing his bags before getting on his way the rain beating on his head as he walks as if it wasn't there to begin with, as he walks down the drenched cover block he sees one girl looking around as lost as she could be holding a map in her hand Jordan smirks ass he passes her by think that was a good way to get robbed in this city. His smirked quickly left ass he thought of the neighborhood and how she might get more then just robbed, sighing he makes a u-turn and walks back to the girl holding the map "Hey maybe I can help you" he said loud enough for her to hear over the rain.
Iris was getting thoroughly soaked when she saw the right number, she checked the address onto the piece of paper. She moved out of the falling rain and moved under the building's overlapping roof. She lowered her hood and leaned on the wall, waiting for the others. She didn't want to be the first to enter, but hardly wanted to stand out in the wet. She unzipped her hooded jacket to give her chest some more breathing room and lowered it down off her shoulders. It was slightly less clingy and unpleasant when it was hanging off her elbows. She slipped her backpack off her shoulders and placed it on the ground.

She reached into her backpack to find her phone, crouching down. She removed it from her bag and clicked the 'On' button to check the time. She turned it off and waited. She sighed, checked again and it hadn't even been a minute. Be patient Iris, she reminded herself. They'll be here, i's not like anybody would bother befriending you for a year and then pull this sort of prank on you. She considered IMing one of them but that would make her look her look needy and annoying. She'd just sit here and wait for them.

(My post looked a little too similar for my liking B( )
[Don't worry about it X3 As long as we can tell who you're trying to interact with, then everything should be just fine. Oh~! And just so you know, Crow went by Crow while online, so ya. No big thing or anything there.]

Crow Sytian
Crow spent a lot of time just waiting. He could only imagine when they would get here, what they would really be like, and he decided, that now that he was settled, he could wait for them downstairs rather than in the room. He picked himself up off of the chair and took his leather jacket with him. He had told them that he would be wearing it today, in hopes that one of them would maybe spot him on his way, but unfortunately for him, he was the first to arrive. He shrugged, though, putting his hands in his pockets as he headed down to the lobby, his gold looking eyes searching the lobby just in case before he leaned himself near the staircase, seeing as the building was lacking in any kind of elevator.

He was excited, that was for sure, that childish grin on his face as he checked his phone. Just then, he noticed that another girl had been doing the same. He tilted his head, curious. He was bored, and he was waiting, so… why not ask her a question or two? It seemed like something was wrong, the look on her face telling him that she was anxious, so he approached carefully, having headed just outside to speak with her.

"Are you lost, little lady? You seem worried about something." He said, smirking slightly. She seemed so small, seated on the porch, the smile on his face devious, but warm. It was probably shady in a neighbourhood like this, for someone to just talk to a stranger, but Crow would always be who he was. He saw nothing wrong with that as he grinned down at the girl who sat on the curb.

Mayia Arakai Hikamaru
Sighing to herself, Mayia furrowed her brow. The scrap of paper in her hand gave no help, the little white scrap telling her to find a building numbered with an 84, but… She could only see numbers that ranged between 10's and 20's to 50's and 60's. Why did directions have to be so… difficult. She sighed to herself again, making a note to remember the number she needed before putting the scrap of paper back into her jeans pocket. First time away from the hospital in weeks, and she got herself lost within the hour. She couldn't go back there now. She had already quit her old job waitressing, the hospital wouldn't take her in after she re-established herself in society. There was nothing left for her back in the place she once called home. She was stuck, her eyes narrowed towards the sidewalk in her frustration.

It's still early. I'll just… walk around, I guess. I'll find the building eventually. She thought to herself having started walking again, her transparent umbrella tilted in such a way so she could protect her suitcase against her back. She hoped to find the building soon, but before she could continue walking, a voice stopped her.

She shivered, stopping for a moment and suppressing her fear before turning towards the voice. She was cautious, of course, but she didn't stop herself from addressing the man. "A-Ah… Well… I'm looking for… a building on Morison Street?" She said, reattaching into her pocket again and taking out the scrap of paper with the address of the building on it. "I just need a little bit of help… I-I don't want to take too much of your time." She added on, reserved, but trying to keep herself from pulling herself completely out of the conversation. It was hard, Mayia's trying to keep herself calm and collected as she spoke, but that resulted in a little bit of babbling.

"If you don't know where it is, that's fine. I can… I can find it myself." She murmured, her hair falling over the right side of her face to hide it, her blue eyes expressing a bit of fear at getting anywhere near this strange man. Online, Mayia went by the username Lupita, and every message that she posted just made her seem so happy. It was the reason that she was reluctant to come in the first place, since it could have been just as possible that the others were just as different from who they were online.
Iris put her phone into her backpack's pouch and gave him a soft smile, her eyes focused briefly on his face before moving behind his head, to the wall behind him. "O-oh, I'm j-just a little f-flustered. F-first time out alone t-to hook u-up with some friends." The smile began to fade slightly as she pulled the hair that was sticking to her cheeks behind her hair. "I-I might be the f-first one here." She'd wanted to send them photos of herself to them beforehand, so they had some idea of what she even looked like to avoid this kind of situation occurring. But she'd only recently got her contacts, and she didn't want them to see her ugly eyes. She looked far too alien, but she regretted being so self conscious about them now.

She'd gone under the username 'Stone3ater', because of a childhood incident. She'd decided it would be better to not let people use it against her so she'd tried to turn it positive. It hadn't worked but the username made her sound cooler than she actually was. She hadn't been true to her personality online and tried to make herself seem far more awesome than she actually was. Truth was she was just a frail little girl who didn't have any other friends.

"We m-met online," she said softly. "I-I'm just a l-little out of my c-comfort z-zone." She bit her lip, stupid stutter. She sounded like an idiot like this and she hated it. She'd had the stutter most of her life, but she'd mostly grown out of it unless she was nervous and worried. Which, she was both right now. She looked back to the man again, spotting the jacket. Oh. Dear.
(Srry Mayiamaru I was talkin to Full Moon next time I'll be more descriptive)

Jordan looks at the women watching as she tripped over her words obvious that she was very much out of her place here and a new place "Well yea this place could make a girl like you pretty afraid but to tell the truth your braver then most of the people I know and they lived here there entire life" he said smiling at the women. Any other day Jordan would have pass by someone like her he had a dozen times and never once looked back thinking they got what they deserved, So he thought why was she any different.

When she had told him how she met these people online line Jordan looks at her up and down seeing every detail that he was told by his friends online and the only person he saw in front of him was Stone3ater. "Um...I know that this might be a little strange but my name is Jordan but you might know me as NY_K!ng" he said with a blank expression on his face "And if I'm correct your Stone3ater aren't you"

Jordan waited for her response hoping she wouldn't slap him in the face and run off because if he was her then he would have in a heartbeat.
(OH geez sorry Dono, i think you missread my posts! I tried to give you up to Mayia! iris is with Crow oh gosh, sorry I should've specified better.)
[I saw Iris move, so I went ahead on it XD They were both lost, either way so… yeah, it was hard to tell which one you were talking to X3 Though, just to clarify, you will be expected to read everything ^_^" Since it is only us three. [So... do we ignore that last post, or do we just adapt it over?]]

Crow Sytian
Crow tilted his head curiously, looking down at the… rather young looking girl. She seemed to be just a teenager, maybe about… sixteen? He didn't think that leaving someone so small here all alone was wise, seeing that this young lady was very introverted. He was glad that he had been the one to get to her before all this, so he smiled and nodded quietly before taking a seat beside her. As she spoke, he was able to catch on, laughing to himself before leaning forward on his knees.

She stuttered, she shivered, trembled and struggled, but she was able to get her points across, surprised that she didn't know, or possible, just didn't remember his message that he sent out yesterday. He chuckled to himself at her cute she acted, but he wanted to make sure that she would be okay in this setting.

"You must've missed my memo then. I'm Crow. Crow Sytian. It's nice to finally meet you." He said, feeling that it would be inappropriate to try and toy with someone so young. "I hope you don't mind my asking… but really… How old are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at her, basically treating her like a child. He was nice and all, but a child being out in a place like this was not okay with him.
(i'm not sure ;v;)

Iris's eyes widened, oh god it WAS him. She sat up a little, her hand slapped over her mouth and she gasped. "O-oh m-my god. I k-knew it!" She smiled until he asked her her age. The smile dropped and she nervously blurted out her response, "E-eight-teen." She tried to look at least a little confident with her response, but it wasn't going to be that difficult to tell if she was lying. She didn't have much experience with other people, and the lie was only ever going to work online where they couldn't see or hear her. But nonetheless she clung to the lie, she didn't know how to escape it without getting in trouble.

And she didn't want to go home. She shook some of the water out of her and extended her small hand to him. "I'm S-stone Eater," she mumbled and looked at his face. She bit her lip, "S-so you're the f-first one here? I-I was worried n-no one was c-coming." she fiddled with her goggles that were around her neck, staring at them blankly. "N-nice weather w-were having?" She wasn;t sure what they were supposed to talk about, and truthfully she didn't care what it was so long as it wasn't about how old she actually was.

It was a stupid idea, but she'd been so lonely and when everyone was adults, or at least going to be, she thought she could risk lying. It never occurred to her that they'd actually meet.
(Hey Mayiamaru I guess I got lost in translation there srry guys, I think we should just adapt over it and Mariya just goes on with the conversation that I would have had with Iris if that makes any sense)
[Yeah X3 I understand. Though, the post is directed at Iris, so the post… is kind of hard to adapt. I'd hate to ask, but would you mind rewriting it? I'd prefer not to since it is your character ^_^"]

Crow Sytian
Crow wasn't very happy being lied to, it was just so obvious… but he didn't say a word about it, keeping his smile upon his face, looking down at their little Stone Eater and nodding his head once when she inquired if he was the first one there. He leaned himself back on one hand, his head tilted slightly as he watched the girl stumble over her words and fiddle with what was at her disposal.

An awkward one, wasn't she? Nothing like the hardcore brawny woman he imagined. He supposed that trusting in a stranger wasn't so wise, but he counted the frill as lucky. Very lucky that it had been him who she had ended up meeting instead of some… shady character who only aimed to hurt her. Take advantage of her. He wouldn't push the limitations of her age on her, but… she was clearly not eighteen. And she shouldn't have been away from home. At least… Crow didn't think that it was right of her to be. His smile softened as he pushed himself to stand up, and he offered his own to hers, calm, quiet.

"It would be nice knowing your real name." Crow said very kindly, tilting his head to get a better look at her, his brown hair flopping over the side of his face. "Come on. You look cold and wet. Do you like coffee or tea? I filled the fridge earlier today. Got here pretty early since. Early enough to unpack. I hoped that we could all have breakfast together, but since the others are kind of late, why don't you and me just hang out until they get here. Maybe have some tea or coffee is you want."

Crow was rather tall, standing at 6'2" when he straightened himself out, so he hoped that he wouldn't appear to be too intimidating for the girl. Stone Eater… To think that this was the girl on the other side of that name. He could only imagine just what could have happened for her to think up that name, what she wanted to make of herself. And he could only hope that she wouldn't hurt herself by mimicking the actions in her username.
She took his outstretched hand, pulling herself up to her feet and dusted her backside off (even though it was thoroughly soaked and any dirt on it would be mud by now). She nodded and smiled, "Iris Grey," She pointed to her eyes and smiled, "like m-my irises." She laughed, "My parents weren't i-imaginative." She'd been called Iris due to, well her unusually colored irises but her last name fitted so perfectly. She looked up to him at his full height and blinked, he was taller than expected.

Then again, she was probably shorter than expected. Choose a name that actually suits you she noted to herself. Stone Eater hardly befitted her, unless 'Involuntary' was a precursor. She nodded her head when he offered to get some food. "Y-yes p-please. I h-haven't eaten since y-yesterday." She smiled awkwardly. Yesterday Morning, she noted to herself. She was getting pretty hungry at this point, but it wasn't all that unusual. "I h-haven't t-tried coffee before.. O-or Tea. N-never really h-had a chance."

She pulled her hooded jacket off, and stuffed it into her backpack. She slung it over her shoulders and walked closer to him. She paused, "For th-the record, y-you didn't th-think I actually ate r-rocks." She smiled a bit, "Th-that'd be m-m-mortifying."
(Here ya go Mayiamaru)

Jordan could barley hear the girl over the rain hitting the pavement around them as they stood in the middle of the sidewalk,he could hear little words hear and there come from her but what he could hear was followed by her stumbling over herself. She talked with her head down not making eye contact with Jordan this would have offended anybody else but Jordan had gotten used to be being intimidated by his appearance, it worked for him in school that was for sure. When you run your own little gang intimidation is the first thing that you need it kept his soldiers in line along with the rest of the school and to Jordan asking himself if he rather be loved or feared, fear come up thee winner every time because it put money in his pocket and food on the table.

When Jordan heard the words Morison Street come out of the girls mouth he instantly knew who he was talking too, their was only one person that he knew had blue eyes even though he had never seen them "Mariya.....That's who you are aren't you" he said looking at her with slitghy confusion on his face "Yea you have to be, its Jordan or you might know me better as NY_K!ng". Jordan was didn't know for sure if this was her but the thing that bother him was why he stopped for a total stranger to begin with.

Crow Sytian
Crow smiled, helping the young girl up and only smiling more at her name, nodding to himself. "It's a good name. Grey eyes, hmm? I think that's cool." He said enthusiastically, holding open the door and leading Iris inside. "Come on, then. We should get you fed. As nice as it would be to eat with the others, this is an emergency." He chuckled jokingly, patting her shoulder before walking ahead of her.

"There isn't an elevator, cause the darned building is so rundown. Sucks, cause we're on the forth floor, but if you can handle that much, then you should do just fine." He said, taking to the steps at a relaxed pace, not caring much for getting to where he was going. He just wanted to talk, meet his new friends. It had been so long since he had real friends. Sure, he was an amiable guy, knew plenty of people, but he didn't really consider them friends. Not close friends, anyway. They didn't know much about him. Kind of like these people, but at least now, he had a chance to make a home for himself. That thought along made him smile.

"Of course, of course." He said with a smirk, looking down at Iris. "But your username is a bit strange. Mind if I ask if there is any story behind it?"

T2Z4I.jpg
Mayia Arakai Hikamaru
Mayia blinked a few times, leaning her head back. She was definitely surprised, not having expected to find anyone from the chartroom so soon… She had only posted her real name once… so she was very impressed that he remembered. She pulled her hand back, tilting her head a bit before putting on a smile. She had to calm down… She had enough of her own timidness, and she was here to try to start again. She couldn't let herself look weak.

"Yeah… I didn't think I'd run into anyone so fast. It's… It's nice to finally meet you." She said, hoping to get her voice over the sound of the rain, blinking to herself before realizing that Jordan was standing in the rain. "Here, you'll get soaked." She said, holding her umbrella out over him. She had a plastic bag over her suitcase, was scared that the bag would have holes and leak, but she didn't mind getting a little wet. As long as her sketch books came out okay, she was fine, tilting her head a bit in hopes that he would take her offering.

"I hope this… isn't offensive, but I imagined you to be a lot scarier looking. It's… a relief to see you aren't so rough and tough." She said, her shoulders raised a bit in tension, but her face being able to remain calm, albeit still half hidden under her hair, how she liked it.
She followed him into the building, but instinctively flinched when he patted her shoulder. She gave him a friendly smile. "Oh that's g-gotta b-be a real p-pain. P-personally, I-I don't m-much like elevators. T-too many s-scary stories. Like g-ghosts cutting people i-in half. Th-those kinds of h-horrible things." She met his pace, following up the stairs. She didn't much mind the pace, he was friendly enough and fun to talk to. She was enjoying the conversation.

"My username?" She looked at him. "O-Oh it's a f-funny story." She twirled her hands, "Y-you know how k-kids are. People d-don't like me m-much. Except y-you guys." She swallowed dryly. "I-It kinda speaks f-for itself. I-I liked rocks as k-kid, still d-do and e-everyone thought it w-was hilarious. That's a-all, they u-used to call me s-stone eater as a joke." She shrugged her shoulders, she didn't particularly want to tell the full story.

"W-what a-about you? Y-your mum c-called you C-crow? Did she like b-birds a lot?"

Crow Sytian
Crow continued to smile, his hands in his pockets as he watched Iris follow him. She seemed like she was very insecure and timid. He had half a mind to frown at that, but he kept his attitude as bright as he could, in hopes that he could get the girl to loosen up. She spoke in such a quirky voice, stuttering, almost biting her words. It was unnerving… very sad. And her reasoning for her username was just as sad. It was enough to finally get him to frown just a bit before he pulled his lips up into a little smirk again.

"Well that's not very funny at all." He said, his smile now lacking in any happiness that a smile should have.

"I named myself Crow because my tutor really loved them, and Edgar Allen Poe. She… disappeared when I was little, so I'm not sure what happened to her, so I changed my name to Crow, last name to Sytian because I had a dog by that name." He explained, a wave of his hand dismissing the rest of his own story. They had only really met today, despite talking to each other for a year. If he was planning on sending Iris back home, then he didn't want to weigh her down with any baggage that he had.

They reached the room pretty quickly, Crow letting her in. "I bought food from a Greek place uptown. It's on the table there. Take any one you want. They're all barbecued chicken, so yeah, go ahead, dig in. I'll just keep on waiting." He said, walking into one of the two rooms and taking a towel from his closet and tossing it at Iris and sitting on one of the two armchairs. He gestured towards the couch and smiled over at Iris, hoping that she would be able to happily eat, dry off and rest. "You should relax. Hopefully, the others will be here soon."
Jordan was stun that those words had come out of Mariyas mouth it was the first time anyone had told him that he didn't look like a common run of the mill hoodlum, with the confused look still on his face Jordan saw as she moved the umbrella closer to him "Thank...you" he said moving under it with her still with the same expression. "We should probably get going the others should be at the apartment already" Jordan said grabbing the umbrella with Maryia and leading her down the street "You know you should have said something about coming here alone I could have came and got you instead of you roaming these streets by yourself with no clue to where your going"

Jordan saw the kind of things that can happen to a girl when she wasn't from New York, he witnessed the horror of what could happen when you weren't strong enough to defend yourself the pure disgusting part of the city that always seemed to find you no matter where you were but when he saw maryia he believes that he stop it from getting to her or that it already did the moment he say hi.
