Time For a New Addition to BranchWood Academy! (Please Comment)

Posted by Kormazon February 2nd 2014, 8:21pm
So, I think it's about time I start adding some of the teacher backgrounds to BranchWood Academy. I'll be creating the teachers soon within the BranchWood Academy Teachers (Character) and I'll be making a new forum based for classes and training programs.

This idea and addition to BranchWood Academy will take time to complete. But, In return while i begin to work on this part of BranchWood Academy, I would want all input or criticism to the idea to be posted here. Make it as long as you want or as small as you want. But, Without your input I'm stuck with what i think is best. So if you want it to be more beneficial for you all help me out!

1: Give us a list of classes that you have ideas for. Some people might be able to give you feedback on how various forms of magic work according to the most developed lore and legends.

2: Teachers should be played by more than one person, make an open spot for that, but then keep the teachers informed about plot points that you'd like them to be aware of, after all, Kormazon would be telling them these things himself.

3: unrelated but also important, You might want to create a page that explains the limitations of the world that Branchwod takes place in. Is it a contemporary place? near-future? far future post apocalypse? the 1800's?

4: Given that there is a group of weapons known as the Forbidden Weapons, you may want to create lore for them. that way people can be a little more informed as to what those are and where and when they were made.

5: Teachers need to know more than the students. The one thing I have noticed so far is that most of the people in the forums are already accomplished magicians and conjurers, myself included. Gonna have to set some of us back a bit, especially the first years. suggest limits, perhaps traing in areas they arent familiar with to encourage variety in skill instead of the over specialization that seems to be the norm here.

But yes, I was completely mystified about the lack of teachers. Like twilight zone mystified.

Though I hope you don't have to do this alone lol. It's quite the task for just one person.

I like the idea. It'll give the players who aren't that active, something to do in the meantime since I've noticed we have a many members, but not all are too active and now it seems a bit of a burden to squeeze into active forums. I think classes would be great.
