Kota trotted around the abundant forest in wolf form. Marking a few trees here and there. She was making an area all out of her own, just to claim and make a spot for herself. She lifted her nose, sniffing out anyone else to see if she would have to encounter anyone.. not everyone was friendly and she took a big portion of society as being unfriendly. She huffed.
Tolora stirred from her nap and yawned, revealing a large mouth full of many sharp teeth. To anyone else she appeared to be a large white tiger dozing in the sun. She'd come here to escape the crowding inside the Academy and wait for things to calm down. It was like a bee's nest in there. She glanced up when she heard something coming towards her, surprised to see a wolf. It seemed to be alone.
Kota continued to trot, her head held high. The large black wolf easily spotted in the day light. She didn't care, she wasn't trying to be sneaky. She spotted the tiger, letting out a grunting sound. Her tail waved in the air like a flag as she approached the tiger.
Alex, not entirely completely sober, was waling around in his tiger form, which he had a better balance, walked through the forest outside the woods behind the school to check it out. He knew that he was supposed to find a group but that wouldn't be all to hard considering that he was a lordling, and at the time didn't feel like rushing it. While in his short wondering, he saw another two animals, both likely people able to shapeshift, a wolf and a white tiger. Curiosity took charge and he wandered over to the pair to see what was going on.
Tolora's ears swiveled toward Alex as he approached. She glanced at him, surprised to see another tiger. Her nose wrinkled when the slight scent of alcohol reached her. This hardly seemed normal or coincidence and she guessed that one or both of them were also able to take on a human form. She changed into hers then, a girl in a tank top and jeans replacing the tiger. She kept an eye on the both of them, unsure of what they'd do. "Guess I wasn't the only one who wanted to get away from the madness inside." She observed. Might as well try to start up some kind of conversation.
Shifting a moment later after the other tiger, Alexander added in a comment. "Madness? this is Sparta!" He chuckled at his own joke. He was wearing a light wool jacket over a tee shirt with 'International Fencing Federation' and two duelers fencing underneath that. He wore a very grey-blue pair of jeans and a pair of custom made shoes which had leather for the soles instead of rubber.
Kota snarled, she was still in wolf form. She automatically assumed they were allied against her. She growled and darted off, nearly looking like a dark blur as she ran in wolf form.
The wolf didn't seem as open to conversation. Tolora had hoped the she-wolf wouldn't see them as enemies. She called out towards the direction the wolf had run to. "Hey, I can't speak for Spartan here, but I won't hurt you." She opened her hands in a gesture of peace, showing that she didn't have any weapons in her hands.
"I promise I showed this morning, I can't stink that bad," Alexander said with a huge grin plastered on his face.
Kota paused in her run, turning back. She slowly trotted up to them, flicking her ears. IT was a bit hard for her understanding their language considering she has been living as a wolf for a while. Her posture was still tense and it suggested that she was not OK with them just yet. She watched them from a comfortable distance, seeing what they would do with one another.
"See told'ya it wasn't because I stank," he told the tiger girl, tapping her shoulder in a light punch.
Tolora smiled when the wolf came back. She'd respect the distance it kept away from them and knew it'd grow shorter only with time and trust. Out of the corner of her eye Tolora saw Alex's arm coming towards her. Her reaction was more instinctual than intentional as she grabbed his wrist and twisted her body, diverting the direction of his arm. Not that it had much force behind it, since he was only going to tap her on the shoulder. "Sorry, reflex." She said as she dropped his wrist.
Caught off guard Alex nearly fell over, "It's all right, you know how to sword fight as well?"
Tolora shook her head. "I'm competent, but I'm no master. I'm better fighting hand-to-hand, or fang and claw." Her lips quirked up in a smile. "I'm also accurate with throwing knives and needles."
Alex's grin grew bigger, "sweet, I can teach you better sword fighting, and you can teach me better hand to hand."
"Hmm, maybe I could." She smiled and looked at the wolf. It was beautiful in a coat of all black fur. "I'm Tolora." She said to the both of them, not wanting to completely exclude the wolf from the conversation.
Kota looked at her,"Kota" she grunted... not like they would be able to understand her. It was a whole nother language only those who could understand canidae would be able to know.
"I'm Alex," he held his hand out for a hand shake and turned to the wolf, "and I'll just call you Whuff until I know your name in English."
She shook Alex's hand. Tolora was also unable to understand the wolf. She raised her eyebrow skeptically at the name Alex suggested. "I'm not sure Whuff is a name she'd like." Or at least Tolora wouldn't, if she were in the wolf's position.
Kota snorted, she didn't like that name at all.
