Hearing of Errown's misfortune, Nelìs was dismayed, but no one couldn't be bewildered by it. Errown was deemed to most powerful out of all in the Academy, yet it is heard that he is no longer in good shape. At least for the time being he wasn't. Still he lies in the infirmary under a coma that who knows how long would keep him and until then there'd need to be someone to substitute into his place as Master of the Arena.

On account of Errown's hopefully temporary absence, Nelìs, although hesitant, was decided to substitute in the role until Errown's condition recuperated. The wizard may have been close in comparison, but there were things that the original Master of the Arena could accomplish that Nelìs could not, however, he'd take the place as long as it was necessary to the Academy.
Feldar entered the arena hearing of the new arena Master who had taken Errown's place. Feldar was interested in the skill of this person. He had heard that the new arena Master had some skill comparable to Errown Himself. Feldar was used to how Errown fought and his individual abilities. Due to Errown's condition any recovery would be far from expected at this moment. It was even debatable to if he would ever be as strong as he used to be.

Feldar looked around for the new Arena Master. His cloak drug across the ground as he walked towards the center of the arena. The wind was blowing with a strong gust which managed to take off his hood making his hair blow back. His corpse like skin had shown and his cold scarlet eyes also had appeared. The dark brown hair blowing back also created an annoyance for Feldar as he held down the hair.
Nelìs sat placidly, not too far up in the bleachers, his eyes closed and unmoving as though he were asleep, however, he was very much awake. Supposedly, he was one of the few who meditated in their own time as conditioning. Magic, though he wasn't fond of the term, wasn't always in his control, but to make sure it didn't get out of hand he conditioned often. The arena was quiet when he had come in earlier, a nice place to sit around to meditate.

In hearing the steps of a visitor, his golden eyes languidly opened to see a man entering the arena. The wizard's head lifted from being propped up on his fist and he brushed his dark hair from his eyes. For a moment he said nothing and made no sound until he stood, starting down the bleachers to meet him prior to patting out the wrinkles in his vest. "You appear to be looking for something," of course Nelìs had to state the obvious, but just to confirm the idea, also a great way to manipulate someone, but that was no where near his intentions. "Do you need something?"
"I've heard the rumors that a new man has taken the position of the Late Errown Kavet. Well.. Perhaps he's not dead but, I don't expect to see the same Errown again." he looks around and then he finally looked up meeting his eyes with Nelìs. "It seems due to the fact that no one else is here... Your our new Arena Master. Being the one who nearly challenged Errown daily, I figured it would be fit for me to come and see how the new Arena Master holds up. That is an understatement of course, I'm just merely interested in what our new Arena Master can do. After all Errown was so high up on our food chain."
"Ah," Nelìs stunned, however, he should have expected this due to being the Master of the Arena and all. "In other words you're here to test my abilities," he then grinned and laced his fingers behind his back, rolling on his heels. The wizard wondered how often Errown had these challenges. Five times a day maybe. No. Maybe Nelìs was exaggerating now. "Well, then you'll be the first. Come. Try me," his eyes quickly scanned over Feldar's form, anxious towards his abilities as well before he moved back though it was as thought the breeze carried him. With his feet again flat on the ground and a good distance between Feldar and himself, he gave a courteous nod. Begin.
Feldar grinned and began to sprint towards Nelìs his one hand hanging down by his arm indicating something. Feldar came up close to Nelìs before his hand sparked with pure black energy and magic mixed. His arm whipped upward creating a black tendril like object that shot outward from his hand in the surrounding area. These formed quickly and launched straight towards Nelìs scraping against the ground in an arcing fashion upwards. They were obviously a different type of spell not really used. It seemed to be something conjured and created instead of released in the form of magic.

The tendrils moved in a quick fashion, As they extended into an arc they scattered into three different versions of itself making the attack very sporadic and unpredictable. This extension increased the area of the attack adding range that wasn't originally there.
Nelís took a cautious step back, knowing that it'd be difficult to avoid the tendrils that could assault from any angle. It was unfortunate that he forgot his staff back in his dorm, but he was sure he'd be fine without it.

What he did have though, were needles that aren't quite visible to the naked eye. Swiftly, he pulled one out, made from alchemy, so he was limited when using it. Not a second to waste he pinched his finger with it before darting towards Feldar though it was not at him.

Once reaching far enough and the wizards blood having stained it, Nelís vanished from his place. The needle substituted for him and he substituted for it. He then was behind Feldar, and in his hand a sphere of light formulated, making a loud high pitched sound. It left his hand to meet with Feldar's back, the pitch growing even higher now, signalling its detonation.
The detonation had collided and engulfed Feldar blasting him back. The impact managed to cause Feldar to come crashing into the ground and rolling only to quickly regain his footing after such an intense blow. It had seemed that the light spjere hadn't done as much damage. But the impact from it had caused the most issues for Feldar.

Feldar looked towards the individual and darted inwards towards him. He jumped up above Nelìs and he pointed his hand down towards Nelìs. For a split second something was seen in the sunlight before it disappeared. This was indeed an ability of some sort yet it was unable to be seen. Feldar rose his hand as he came back down towards Nelìs. Just before Feldar came in contact with the ground he flicked his hand downward. The sound of the air splitting had passed Nelìs' ears. This indicated that something passed him. Instinct would tell that more were to come in a short moment.

The attack was composed of souls used by Feldar. Souls cannot be seen by the naked eye of a individual who is not of Soul Shaper descent, or Harvester of Souls descent. Feldar charged inward as his attack commenced planning on giving him a difficult time in all possible ways.
The wizard hardly brought notice to whatever had cause the flick of shadow before the sunlight and kept his focus solely on Feldar, shifting back before he came down though he had taken notice to the abrupt action of his arm. He did not see the result which was strange, that was, until a piercing sound whipped past his ear. There was something unseen to him, but he had to figure out before it did any damage.

Nelìs didn't take kindly to being assaulted in any form, even if it is just sparring. Because of never having to touch or bring much effort into fighting, he wasn't accustomed to pain besides what he's received emotionally. The last thing on his mind was being hit.

With Feldar before him, the wizard now wishing he had his staff, recreated the element of blue fire and set his skin ablaze before darting towards Feldar.
The attack Feldar had begun before was still going it seemed. This was alerted to Nelìs as he saw the dust rise from the ground from impacts from some sort of objects. These were occurring all around him at a nonstop pace. Feldar continued rushing towards Nelìs noting the fact that he had now become encumbered by blue flames.

Not only did Nelìs have to worry about Feldar up close now but also this unique attack he had begun earlier. Feldar was ramping up the pressure of combat to an all new degree it seemed. While rushing inward towards Nelìs, Feldar began to make his hands become encumbered by the rare source of power he used in the beginning to create the tendrils. Feldar's pace began to rapidly decrease in his movement forward as he went from running forward in a linear fashion to shifting himself to face sideways and slowing his movement with a slide.

Feldar Quickly raised his hand upward in a quick flick. This created a wall of spikes angled outwards to Nelìs, Feldar had than used these spikes to ramp off of upwards into the air using the speed he still had. This put Feldar in a vantage point Nelìs.
In order to avoid the wall that he was steadily approaching, knowing that sliding to a stop would be much to late, his body shot fire into that direction, causing the wizard to be blown back. He wasn't one to be extremely agile, but if he wanted to make it through this battle, he'd have to at least put in 80%.

With Feldar above him, Nelìs quickly got poised and summoned for his staff that would take a while to arrive. Till then he decided to use a different tactic against someone who like to be very physical. The wizard's body flashed a blinding white, to gain enough time to form mirrors around his form. To Feldar it would look to be a mound of mirrors, giving the reflection of the room as well as his. It was time to mess around with his mind. It was the common thing for an illusionist to do after all.
Feldar quickly looked at all the new images that had appeared before him due to the mirrors. He realized the situation had just shifted again out of his favor. Quickly Feldar began to focus more of his power then the last two times. Feldar then began to use this energy to rotate himself in a circle as he was coming towards the ground. The quick rotations seemed to be almost harmless until it began to launch out whip like attacks in all directions. These attacks seemed to have no direction to them but, He also had just been surrounded by many mirrors and didn't know where his enemy was anyway. With this situation he decided to attack blindly within all locations one space at a time.

The quick rotations managed to take over most of Feldar's mobility leaving him in one generalized location as he spun in circles. The speed at which these strikes were launching outward began to increase as his rotations did. They seemed to almost be directly linked with one another at this moment. Unfortunately due to this taking over all his mobility he had no where he could move at this very moment.
It didn't take much effort at all to have the mirrors shattered though in strangely large pieces that should have been smaller, but Nelìs was still no where in sight, and the room itself looked to be slightly off. For a moment or two it was silent until the wizard appeared before him, a light grin on his lips. "You're very good," he inputted after seeing a few of Feldar's skills, "I'm surprised that you haven't been put in Errown's place instead of I.." Being the wizard, he wasn't always trendy and keeping up with recent events. He was yet to hear of Feldar's conflict with the Defiance squad.

There was something not right about this image. Every now and then Feldar would spot a glare or a glisten, as though he were looking through.. glass.
Quickly Feldar stopped his rotation and quickly struck at the image in front of him. He didn't leave any room to wait or time to think after all these matches could be ended within a split second or mistake. Feldar had learned that in the past fighting Errown. Especially one match in particular that had in fact mortally wounded Feldar yet somehow he managed to come back from the injury.

This quick strike hadn't been anything special in fact it was just to remove or determine if what was indeed in front of him was real. "Though, I may be a good fighter. There's a reason I would never be picked for such a position. Perhaps this information will eventually come to find you in the future." Due to the rotation stopping Feldar proceeded to fall from the air back to the ground.
Nelìs was still standing before Feldar although Feldar was looking in a different direction. In reality, the mirrors did not shatter. He was still trapped within and Nelìs could set any image within the mirrors that moved along with Feldar's movements. The wizard took this moment to stall for his staff, that had just flown into the room and he caught firmly. Now it was time to actually begin fighting.

Nelìs held it in both hands, able to fell he magic coursing through the item before he darted towards the mound of mirrors that were just reaching the ground. Immediately he broke through, shattering the real glass this time, and held his staff out before him that had another sphere of light at it's tip once more as he met with Feldar.
Feldar released from the prism of Illusions was met by Nelìs quickly coming towards him. Feldar immediately rose his hand instinctively placing it outwards to catch the staff as it came closer. Due to all the mirrors disrupting the area and vision Nelìs had saw something due to the refractions of the illusion magic disappearing. Nelìs had managed to catch a glimpse of some sort of aura surrounding Feldar that was quickly rushing around him from all directions. This Aura had been the souls he used from the previous attack against Nelìs with the cracking wind. The souls were returning at a rapid pace to protect Feldar from serious damage.
The aura around Feldar quickly came to Nelìs's attention and his eyes narrowed, studying it carefully in the tenth of a second he had before the searing sound of the sphere came to an immediate stop and detonated once again. With that he, jerked his staff from his hand, moving few steps back as he spread his fingers quickly, causing his thick staff to break into three thin ones. Whatever he heard, whatever Feldar was planning, Nelìs had to be prepared.

The now three staffs rotated around Nelìs, beginning slow before they speed increasingly as though a shield to protect him as he awaited Feldar's next assault.
Feldar took the immediate hit directly applied against his hand. The magic drastically expanded around Feldar before detonating completely engulfing him. The damage against Feldar was minimal when the fog cleared but it left him on one knee. He looked up at Nelìs, "Seems I'm not quite at an efficient point to use this new power I have obtained." It seemed that his hand and body were severely damaged with black singes across him. The power Feldar was using earlier seemed to have drastic tolls on the body. Feldar tightly clenched his fist forcing himself to stand up. "I'll return when this power is properly mastered..." He flipped his hood up to his cloak and walked out of the arena slumped over in severe pain.
With his staffs coming back together with an audible click, returning to his hand, Nelís nodded, "It was great effort." A small smile formed on his lips though his thoughts lingered on what new power he spoke of. Whatever the case, Feldar promised to return once he had it down pact, but whatever it was, it cleary brought harm upon the user.

Having been too far in thought, the man had already left before Nelís could offer to assist him.
