Mikhael stood before the front gate. He carried a large hiking backpack across his shoulders along with a hunting rifle. He hadn't shaved in a few days and his whole appearance was unkempt. He stared at the lane that lead to the school, taking it in. After what he had been through to get here, he only hoped they would actually accept him as a student.
An observer might have been alarmed. Not at his appearance so much, but at his feet, which were bare, the ground appeared to be frozen. the grass curling as if a frost had touched it. every step he took, the cold disappeared from the ground as if it had never been there, only for the ground beneath the next step to become chilled. He did not appear to be concerned by the ground, and a closer look at his heels would have revealed calluses from years of no shoes.
He trudged to the main entrance and looked for a doorbell, or a sign for registering himself. Finding a rather ornate doorknocker instead, he clapped it twice, loudly, then stood back, awaiting its opening.

Quade having being near the entrance at the time heard the loud knocks as the sound traveled outward. Quadellifted his head and quickly looked at the gate and figured he'd get a jump on answering it before any of the school teachers could. After all most of the individuals who came here tended to get scared away by the teachers who were no push overs. Quade went over to the door quickly and opened it slowly. He then peered outside looking to see what individual had came here today. "Oh, well your quite the traveler..." he looked over his attire and his appearance. "Seems like you've traveled a long way. Come on in quick... The last thing I need is the Head Master to have further reason to dislike me."
Mikhael walked tenuously through the large ornate entrance to the school. "Uh, Hello, yes. My name is Mikhael Labonte. My parents sent a message to the headmaster? I'm supposed to meet him for an evaluation test." He said, looking around the hall, noting large tapestries and vaulted ceiling paintings.
He un-shouldered his rifle, holding it up before Quade. "Got a place where I can store this for now? Doubt I'll need it in here."

Quade blinked at Mikhael. "You realize I'm a student here right? But, Sure I think you could store that... Somewhere uhhh, Well I mean you could just take it to the armory and leave it there... Actually, I think you should hold onto it until we can manage to get you a dorm." Quade quickly pushed the door shut before anyone realized and he placed the seal on the outside causing it to close. "I'm Quade By the way, It's good to meet you. I'm a fourth year here within the Academy." He looked around and began to walk towards the Faculty Building. "You said you had a letter for the Head Master? Or something like that right?"
Mikhael gave a quick run to catch up with Quade before settling into a walk next to him. "Yea, my parents sent a message and he said for me to make a visit for evaluation." He tugged on his backpack. "I've got the letter in here." He added. His feet left the same frost marks on the stone floor that they had left on the ground outside, but they stayed longer than they had on the grass.
Quade blinked looking down at the abnormality. "That always happen? I mean not that it matters, I've seen plenty of things around here. Enough to make you wonder what kind of things are still out there." He laughed and pointed at himself for a moment. "I may look quite natural but I'm an Ancestral Mimic... Well, two thirds mimic and one third human. It's given me an awkward gene pool." He laughed and stopped outside the door and knocked awaiting someone to let them inside.
Mikhael looked down at his feet. "Oh, the frost? Yea, its hereditary. Makes socks and shoes a pain though. My feet tend to make them shatter." He waited next to Quade for the door to open. "My family and I are a rather unique strain of humanity ourselves. Someone way way back took power from an ice spirit, passed it down to the rest of us."
A few seconds after he spoke, the door to the left opened and a thin man of 5'8" walked out and looked to the two, a beaker full of sparking dark blue liquid was in both leather gloved hands, a bright red leaf in the middle was swirling around. He smiles to Quade and nods with a 'hello', his auburn hair flowing with the movement and returning to his shoulders. "Hello, friend, good seeing you again." He spoke, his voice a deep and rough tone, though it was more chipper due to seeing a friend. He looks over to the new comer and smiles a bit softer. "Oh, hello there. New man?" He questions, a limb made of shadows forms from the back of his double breasted peacoat and reaches out to shake hands with the man. "It's pleasure to meat you, my name id Sasuki, Akane sasuki." He spoke with a kind tone.
Mikhael looked down at the shorter man, and then to the glass in his hand. he raised an eyebrow, but shook his hand with Sasuki's gloved one. His own hand was cold, unnaturally so, and he was sure that Sasuki was glad that he was wearing his glove at this point. "Uh, Hi. Mikhael Labonte. I was supposed to meet the headmaster for the evaluation?" He said, pulling his arm back to rest on the shoulderstrap of his rifle and backpack. "That a genogorian potion?" he asked, pointing to the beaker. "Looks like."
(I'm going to say that you did shake the shadow limb, otherwise the potion would spill, not to mess with your words.)
Mikhael had felt an odd chill down his spine as he got in contact with Saduki's shadow limb, but Sasuki's face was unsure of how to react: hatred to his mention of the headmaster, but surprise to the reaction of him mentioning potions. He smiles a bit to shut that down. "No, it is a new concoction I am making to see what happens with it, the first step to alchemy is to see what it does." He spoke with a soft laugh. His shadow's leg reached out to stop the door from shutting on them while the rest of his body stood still in front of them, allowing them to enter. "Do you study alchemy, Mikhael?" He questioned the man, his voice now seeming kinder and more favored.

Mikhael shook his head. "My mother does. The genogorian potion she uses to dip roof shingles in to keep the snow from caving it in looks similar to that. its a non stick potion essentially." He looked past Sasuki to get a look at his laboratory. "I'm not so much a student of potions as I am merely , a person who has grown up around it. Couldn't make more than a few basic things, but I can identify most of them."
He smiles a bit and nods. The shadow kickinf the door open to reveal a long all with multiple doors leading to other teachers rooms. "If you are looking for the bastar-" he shook his head mid word and fixed himself with a clear of the throat. "-headmaster, morrota(excuse me), just keep heading down the hall and up to the tower." He looks to quadew ith a slightly wider smile, "You know where to go, yes?" Before he could give time to respond, he started to walk again, his shadow still in place and holding the door. He turns and bows to the two of them before he leaves. "I'm sorry, Mikhael, but I must get back to my class, I have to teach and I don't want to be late." He marches off and pauses at the cross of the hall, thinking as if he left out something. "Oh!" He spoke with a soft laugh and turned back. "It's not a anti-stick potion, I'm still figuring out the usage of my new componemt, hopefully it works. Be seing you around, friend." He spoke loud enough for them to hear. With that, he marched off again down the main hall. The echoes of his leather wingtips tapping on the mable od the ground getting more quiet with each step.
Mikhael chuckled. "A teacher who experiments with dangerous mixtures that could explode at any moment for a class... thats safe." He grinned at Quade. "I think I'm gonna like it here." He began to make his way further up the stairs, to the headmaster's office where Sasuki had indicated.
Quade scratched his head looking at Mikhael... "You say that now... But, you haven't met our head Master..." Quade laughed and sat against the wall. The last part of the sentence hadn't quite made it to Mikhael before he had left. "I'm surprised to see you here Sasuki. What brings you here? I've heard some nasty rumors about BranchWood Academy changing things up soon. You manage to hear anything about that? I've only got bits and pieces myself... But, somethings floating around some student started something."
Sasuki's shadow remained where he left it, the shadow shook his head and listened to Quade while he talked, not wanting him to feel ignored. The shadow leaned against the wall's shadow and tilted its head to Quade as if it was interested in hearing about what was going on. The door reacted accordingly to Sasuki's shadow pressing on its shadow and moved open more, allowing more light to be shown into the faculty hall and showing the floor is not marble, but something brighter and polished recently.
Mikhael regarded the shadow following them carefully. "Uh, so, this a peter pan type deal or what?" he asked. "Shadow moving, thing. or is it some sort of... symbiotic deal?"
(umm, So Quade, Sasuki, we a squad officially then? Wasn't really sure honestly)
(Sorry for the confusion Mikhael. Quade can be a part of your squad as for Sasuki he's currently a part of another squad. So that's going to leave your squad open for one individual. Perhaps I should make a rule to avoid such confusion in the future. I'll have to think about that. As for others to join your squad... You may end up waiting a little until I'm done with update 1. It's currently where a lot of my ideas and time have been going. But once the final touches of this update are done... I'll be posting BranchWood Academy within the RPR looking for RP forum. Hopefully this will bring a lot of attention to BranchWood Academy now that it's easier to follow. Hopefully this doesn't take away from your RP Experience here at BranchWood Academy. It's a little slow recently because of the fact that I'm busy as well. I hope you understand and will continue to RP here. In the meantime perhaps you can make a unique Side Story that others can take part in.)
Down the hallway inside the school building. Nearby Quade and Mikhael's area, a young lady, probably a new student, since she probably hasn't been known of around the academy, not making her easily recognized. She had a relaxed and somewhat confused look on her face as she came around the corner of the hallway. "Baka~ is it honestly this difficult to find a dorm, my, my..." the young woman said to herself. Almost around the corner the young woman poked her head around the corner of the hallway.
((Is it okay if I come in since you need one more person?))
((Is it okay if I come in since you need one more person?))
(It'd be okay. Under the circumstance that Mikhael was still here. At this moment I'm unsure of where he might be. We had a few people fall out recently without word. As for any other forms of issues I see no problems.)
