A roar erupted into the air over the grounds of the academy. A shadow raced across the ground then stopped. Huge burst of wind flowed down to the ground and pushed outward in a large circle. The roar resonated once more as the large red dragon landed. His clawed feet pressing into the earth as his weight pushed down. The dragon slowly bowed down his long slender neck. On his back between the spines arose a boy. His long hair flowed with the wind as the trench coat fluttered with it. In his hand was a large black staff with a crystal centered at the top and the design of a dragon coiled around it. A few rings dangled from the loop that formed from the dragon's tail upon the staff.

"We are back Lavex," Vincent spoke out smiling. How long had he been gone? He had lost track of time the moment he took off. Did his squad replace him? Was he forgotten? Would he be in trouble for having left like that? He turned his head to Lavex. Vincent's golden hues looking into the large orange orb of his familar. "I'll do the explaining. Alright?"

"Foolish boy, what reason have I to tell anyone anything?" The dragon spoke loudly as his booming voice flowed from his throat. "You are the one who told me we were going anyways. Isn't my place to tell anything, anyways."
A man looked out over the campus and noticed the shadow grow over the campus. "Well it seems that we have a visitor" the man stood up from his position and reached over grabbing his coat and pulling around himself. The man walked out quickly and pushed the door out quickly. He rushed down the hall way and walked out into the courtyard. The man's figure had finally been shown within the light as he approached Vincent. He looked over at Vincent and Lavex with a slight laugh.

He looked around to see if anything else would appear but it seemed that he was the only one who was around. "Well it's good to see you again Enkou." the voice was familiar and soon was recognized to be the Head Master. What on earth was the Head Master doing out in public like this. This was a turn of events that will be seen more often than not. He seemed to be showing up more and more on the campus.
Vincent turned to the voice and blinked as he tried to remember the face and voice then suddenly straightened up. "Head master!" he was definitely shocked. For multiple reasons really. Of course, he would address the point that stood at the foremost of his mind, "Am..am I in trouble? I promise I have a very strong reason behind leaving so suddenly."

Lavex studied the man as he craned his neck closer, "Personally I say he deserves a slight punishment for not at least leaving a note." The dragon's voice boomed as he rose his head, "I feel we had plenty enough time for that."

Vincent glared at the dragon, "You said you wasn't getting involved. You giant lizard."

The dragon laughed, "I changed my mind and decided to speak my opinion."
The Head Master tilted his head and just looked at the two. "No one's in any sort of trouble. In fact the only reason I'm here is I've decided to put a more strict guideline on the school. This way we have less surprises and less casualties in the Academy." he looked at Lavex and than to Vincent again. "You two seem like your close. That's a good thing I suggest you keep it that way. It'll help you more than you believe and will give you the best chance of survival." he seemed to look off into the distance while keeping track of what ever the two of them said. "I suppose you should tell me why you left at the very least."
Vincent and Lavex listened intently to his words. Lavex shifted himself around until he laid down and sighed. Vincent smiled and nodded, "We are closer than anyone could imagine." He turned his attention to Lavex for a moment until returning it at the mention of why he left.

"Oh that," he smiled, "A sort of coming of age ceremony." he rubbed his arm, "It is a pilgrimage to the main temple of the god my family has worshiped for a long time. There I am to pray for enlightenment. After that I am given the sigil of the god and then their is a feast. But everyone in my family must go through it." He pulled off his coat and exposed the mark on his right arm. The sigil on his arm was still freshly done.
"I see, it's a worthwhile circumstance then. I can accept the quickleaving aalthough next time it happens there will be corcumstancial measures. I can't say what would happen nor can I agree that something could happen. It's all a matter of what happens while your gone. If say we needed many individuals to assist people and we were short then the consequences would be great. I believe you can understand the reasoning" he looks at Vincent and nods.
Vincent nods in agreement, "If anything else ever comes up, I promise I shall inform you Head Master," He looks to Lavex who nodded to him, "We are sorry if it caused any sort of worry."

He moved to Lavex's side as he laid down and pulled off a small bag. "May I return to my dorm sir? I wish to get unpacked and hope to greet my friends. I am sure I owe them an explanation as well. I don't want them to feel as if I was abandoning them." He gave a soft smile as he tossed the bag over his shoulder.
"Do as you wish. I'm not here to watch over you. I was just making sure no unwanted individuals entered the campus this time. I've had enough of individuals entering my Academy unwanted." He turned around and walked back towards the faculty building and with that the Head Master was gone yet again. But, It was indeed surprising to have witnessed the Head Master finally taking action. Perhaps he finally would show himself more around the Academy.
