"Greetings one and all to BranchWood Academy's Ceremony to commemorate our 17th annual opening. We are proud to announce that all of you here will be the newest students attending our great school!"
The man was pacing back and forth across the stadium in front of crowds of new students. The room was large and expansive in fact taking all the students currently in this room it had not nearly taken up one tenth of the maximum capacity. The man was BranchWood Academy's HeadMaster and he was highly revered by many for his accomplishments. The man had history going far back into the military itself. Unfortunately no one really knew the man of the man's abilities or the extent of his power. But, It was obvious that he had to be quite powerful to have made it too this position. He wore his uniform with pride and he didn't even seem to hesitate while talking on the stage.
"These following years as you attend BranchWood Academy will not be easy. I don't expect most of you currently in this room to even make it past this year. The people sitting next to you and around you could all be dead by the end of this very year. You never can predict the outcome of a battle or a mission. So you best treat all those around you with great respect, for you will never know when they will die. To have made it into this Academy had required great power, Skills, and even talent. But, All of you are first years! You must keep in mind that as these years pass by, You will all become stronger. You will all have faced hardships together. I don't expect you all to be here at the end and i don't expect you will be the same people you are now. One thing i know for sure is you will all be great warriors and we will keep the peace of this world!"
The HeadMaster bowed to the students and had dismissed them all from the ceremony. The amount of teachers at this ceremony seemed to be plentiful. BranchWood Academy had classes reaching all the way to the depths of the darkest magic to the purest of magic. They also had the most skilled in martial arts, Range Courses, Tactics, And much more involving physical or mental capabilities.
The classes had basic professions all the way to learning on the same level as GrandMasters themselves. BranchWood Academy had no limits to the amount of things that one individual could do. In fact the unique schooling system of BranchWood Academy gave students a free roam to which ever classes they wished to apply and go into.

Kenn sat through the introduction helmet in his lap, he understood that some of the people would not make it but he planned to go through the entire year. Once the introduction was over he got up from his seat and took out a notepad and began writing a few things down and speaking to himself "Well one thing i'm gonna want to know is where the arena is as to that's where i'll be using up most of my time" he wrote it down in a short sentence and then put away the notepad beginning to walk towards the exit of the stadium to figure out where he needed to go.
It was all very intriguing and exciting though there were risks. Iveth stayed placid in her seat to thing it over, her eyes flicking towards a few individuals. The academy evidently was no joke, even she could see that. They weren't kidding when they said not all, in the end, would be alive, but what would they have them doing?
As she stood, she shoved her fists deep in her pockets. And magic. That was a talent she either didn't have or was yet to acquire. Aapparently this place was built up from wizards, so what business did she have here? She let the thought drop and decided to get some tips from a senior later on. For now, she just needed to figure out where she was going.

Tolora sat silently through the speech. So many people here had magic, she felt out of place. She looked around at the other students, wondering which ones would survive the year, let alone graduate. She stood up when the speech was over. There wasn't much she had to do at the moment. She'd already put her things in her dorm room and wondered where her roommate was.
Blake sat far back during the ceremony, not wanting any interaction with anyone it seemed. He knew of magic and its capabilities yet he wanted nothing to do with it. He chose to go a different path in life. As the speech neared an end Blake sat there waiting for all the students to clear out before he would decide to move. The last thing he wanted on the first day was to deal with anyone before it was necessary. The first thought that had cleared Blake's mind was to figure out what exactly the first day had planned for him or the others.
Even with a mask secured over his face, Ulysses's expression was impassive. There was no end to acquiring more and he'd find that in this very academy. Social Darwinism was in his interest. What happened to everyone else was their problem and he would not lift a finger to assist, but teamwork was, unfortunately, required here. He had worked with someone before and strangely, he saw that person leave the room. Iveth.
If anything, he thought she was dead, but no matter. Most students had left the room, leaving Ulysses and another student who sat not too far away. What was he waiting for? Not caring to ponder over it, he stood and left the room as well.

Somewhere at the back end row of the large crowd of student's. A young women, where ing a white cloak stood with her arms crossed and head, looking up at the headmaster of the school. A school where you have little chance of surviving the first year? That sound like something a young women like her would like. A challenge, finally something difficult, something you can't pass by just taking some multiple choice test. The young women stood there, letting the head masters words sink in, I wonder who will die first? The young women thought, when the headmasters speech was over, and everyone started to clear the area, including the young women.
Within the confines of BranchWood Academy stood many buildings. The dormitory was one of the largest on the campus. The Dormitory had six floors. Restricted access was given to first years to only the first floors. The chain continuedup the bbuilding giving sixth year students access to all the building.
When you looked to the east close to the forest a large Combat arena stood out from the rest of the campus. The Arena looked smaller from the outside until you walked inside. Inside the Arena had a terrain generator crafted and controlled by magic allowing individuals to edit and control the set up of the arena. The terrain changed daily and before every match in the arena. The rest of the arena resembled a collosum.
After everything was shown you would go into the main building that held Academy training and classes. The entire Building was about two times larger the the Dormitory. The largest building on the campus ended up being this one separated by the different kinds of classes and types. Overall the school was split up to so many different types. Magic, Melee, Range, Professions, Team Work, tactics and much more.
Over all after checking. Out everything you were left with one of two things you could do. You could sign up for the Squads and create your own. You had the opportunity to train and meet other students. Even an opportunity to go about and check out all the buildings.
Over all BranchWood Academy seemed larger every minute spent within it. The amount of students currently in BranchWood Academy's attendance record stood at 421/500 including the arrival of all the new first years. Obviously they still had people missing or haven't filled the dead students places yet. Considering they only accept one hundred students during each year.

Kenn began heading for the main buildings, looking around at the scenery and noticed the forest "Is the entire place surrounded by a forest?" he asked himself and kept walking. As he entered the main building he was astonished at how it looked "I don't see how i'm gonna fit in here, I stick out like a soar thumb here" he said as he admired the interior of the building. He sat down in a chair sorting through his stuff, he didn't see anything missing but it could change at any moment so he had to check now and again.
The interior was beyond amazing though there was no comfort in these walls. Just a magnificent building that held many dark secrets that still linger. Such a long history that Iveth was curious about. She would've got mischievous, no. Much to mature for that.. Maybe.
With a somewhat frustrated sigh, she headed to her dorm, still unknown to whom she'd be sharing it with, and tugged at her curls that lay disheveled around her face. Eventually, she'd have to make friends.

John didn't much like introductions, he didn't understand why they couldn't just give them a paper with a list of what to do, but he listened closely, showing respect to his superiors. He was dressed in his casual wear, and carrying his armor, swords, and other useful and needed items in his bag, he packed pretty 'light', he didn't take anything with him except for the most essential items, but the bag was VERY heavy. A hood was over his head, shadowing his face completely, no matter how close he got to a light source it never showed his face. He shifted uncomfortably in his boots as he stared down at the handout that explained where everything was, the directions were solid, but the scale of this Academy was monstrous, he usually navigated in the woods most of the time at his old college, not in a fortress! His room number was 117. Not being one to socialize that much, he would probably be stuck wandering around the fortress until he finally found his quarters for the rest of the night.
He exited the main area and began walking around, where he was he had a clear view of the arena, he stared at it for a moment in awe. It resembled that of a Colosseum, what the Romans used to use for theatrical purposes, but that mainly consisted of fighting lions and other men for entertainment. John had studied the Romans and Greeks many times when he was in college, he always heard of their great accomplishments, but what interested him the most was their elite warriors, the Spartans. He saw sculptures of them when he visited Sparta as a child, they physically perfected themselves, making their body fit and strong. John wished to do the same, he wanted to become great, he wanted to be remembered as a legendary warrior like the mighty Spartans. That's why he became so physically perfect, he had trained himself, and sculpted his body into the perfect form, swift, agile, and strong, just like a Spartan.
After a few moments he began to trek along again, going through various corridors and halls. This time around he was completely confused as to where he was. He looked about left to right, searching for any place that lead to the quarters, maybe he should have stuck with someone instead of going off on his own. Funny how he could score so high on his entry exam and fail to navigate the corridors of the academy, some would scoff and mock, he didn't mind...it wouldn't change anything.
He began walking again, looking down at the sheet of paper trying to decipher where he should go. John wasn't really paying attention to his surroundings as he concentrated on his goal unwaveringly. That's when he ran into someone, and he quickly looked up, dropping his bag full of his gear to help up whoever he ran into, making a load *thud* on the floor as he did so, he had at least 70 kilos of items in the large duffel bag. He looked down to find that he ran into a rather small looking women (Isobel). "Uh...Sorry...", he said with his gruff, yet soothing voice, he looked over her making sure she was alright before saying, "Do you know where the living quarters are?", he asked, getting straight to the point. Maybe his fellow equal could help him with finding his new place of living, it would be much better and faster than him looking around by himself.

Blake sat back watching everyone from afar. Being the kind of Individual Blake was he kept away from the crowds of people figuring out what to do on their first day. He sat on the top of the roof of the Main school building having used the back entrance he had found and climbing up the stair case to the roof access.
He sat there obviously noticed by many that he was so far out of place. In fact not only did he stand out on the roof but to the new students surprise you would of thought this would be against school rules. Surprisingly this had been within school regulations and he wasn't bothered by the Teachers who were assisting students on the first day. Blake stood up and turned walking out of vision from everyone heading back to where he had originally come up.
Blake upon descending from the top had went towards the dormitory for the first time. His general personality had been shown in a great display that he had enjoyed to be alone. This was a strong feeling that was pushed off of Blake's person as he brushed off peoples greetings.

Ulysses took a swift glance down at the folded paper in his hand, looking for some guidance to his dorm. It crossed his mind that he'd have to be sharing the room with someone. He supposed it'd be fine if they didn't prove to be a bother or a nuisance of any sort.
Around him others looked to be soaking into the presence of others, greeting one another and so forth. Of course Ulysses felt no need to join them when he could easily pick out what he needed to see in them. Silently, he proceeded to his dorm, hoping not to find anyone in it.. not yet.

As everyone went about their normal days together it seemed almost as if the day became longer and longer with so much to do. As everyone finally began to get comfortable in their new surroundings a loud announcement had occurred. "Attention all all BranchWood students you all have managed to make it through our first day. But do not feel comfortableyou hhaven't gone through anything but meet new people. Before this day ends I will want you all to go to the Squad Center and get yourselves a squad to work together. These Squads are mandatory and will be required through out your school year. Their will be three members to each squad and one Squad Leader shall be chosen. Together you three will do missions and spend the majority of your BranchWood career together as individuals. But, you must all act together as A individual not multiples. In order to succeed you will all require to make a squad that can survive in all circumstance. I wish you all the best in your Journeys."
With that the announcement had subsided and the Academy members began to flood towards the Squad center and with thatyour first step into BranchWood Academy life style had begun.
(Please use the Squad Construction forum to create squads. Once the squads are done we can continue here where shortly Act 1 will go into its final phasing.)
