Ulysses hadn't gone without noticing others getting into teams and to his dismay he had to join one as well. Under his mask he sighed then glanced down at his watch.
Excalibur watched as everyone gathered in their groups of three. Hmm... what kind of squad would I be able to join, that's in need of another peron? Excalibur thought, looking at the crowd of people without a squad.
The mercenary's eyes, hidden behind his mask flicked up at the individual, scanning over them to decipher whether she was a magic user and so forth. As for himself, he would be labeled as a Nether. Being from an unearthly heritage he already had some inhuman abilities, but none like magic.
Excalibur scanned the room, seeing if someone with decent ablities and fighting skills, to join her squad. She looked over at someone that looked like he didn't have a squad at all. Too skinny.." Excalibur thought, and looked over at another student without a squad. Too buff... Excalibur thought, and looked over at another student. His face covered his entire face, making him look mysterious, which caught Excalibur's attention. He looks interesting enough Excalibur thought.
He sat back in his seat, slipping his cell from his pocket and read over his e-mails. None of them were new since he hadn't been doing any duties after he decided to attend this academy. As he put it away he noticed he'd caught her attention. Good. He didn't have to try. His arms crossed over his chest loosely as he watched her as well, as though he were daring her to approach.
Excalibur looked over at the man, noticing that he was looking over at her. Excalibur stepped forward, and walked over in his direction, without a hint of hesitation or fear of approaching him at all. Excalibur walked over towards the man, as her white cloak, with gold highlights swayed, left and right. Once she was a good dance in front of the man, she spoke "hey", Excalibur said, trying to start off a conversation. Hey?! What kind of greeting is that?! Excalibur thought.
"You think too loud," was the first thing he responded with rather frankly, but it'd be wise to let her know now that he could pick up on such a thing. He took a brief moment to scan over her for any abilities he may find useful. "But, hey," he added after a moment, his leg crossed loosely over his thigh and he tilted his head a bit.
Excalibur tilted her head to the side slightly, "my fault" Excalibur said, strange fellow, Excalibur thought to herself, watching the man scan Excalibur, to see if she had anything worth wile.
"Setting up a squad?" he asked flatly although he knew that that had been the exact reason why she had come over and he brought his elbows to rest on the back of the seat.
"Yes" Excalibur said, nodding her head, that was te main reason Se bothered to walk over and say hi in the first place.
"Mm.. Well what good will it be with only two of us?" he scanned over other students who may be suitable for the task as he began to ask. "Are you a magic user?"
"Hmmm you two seem quite interesting may I add." Blake sat up above them sitting on the top of the shelf in the room out of sight basically. "You two seem to be having a nice chat back and forth..." He laughed a little and still sat up there. He probably wasn't even noticed yet until he jumped down finally and leaned against the wall. "Tough break trying to get a squad together isn't it?"
The mercenary looked over at the boy, scanning him over him just as he had Excalibur. He appeared to be a magic user at the most. No weapons, at least that weren't visible. "Not anymore. Magic user?" he decided to ask, his eyes narrowing under his mask in anticipation.
"Not in the slightest. I despise magic and what it stands for. Who needs it." the man seemed to have an extremely sour taste towards magic. It had seemed to be deep within his roots that he despised it. "I will admit I'm from a magic heritage though. But, I don't use it and probably never will." He nods at Ulysses "So what about the both of you? What are you two?"
"Ranging in the Nether area," he answered as he turned to look elsewhere, away from the two. He only considered himself a Nether because of what he already was, but it wouldn't be much of a challenge to get accustomed to Nether characteristics. He'd already conformed to humans enough.
"I see very well. Should work well I presume. What about yourself?" Blake turned his head to Excalibur "What would you be looking at the generalized look in your eyes. Your not a Magician." he looks at the window and back at those two "So if you two are creating a squad allow me to ask what your goals are here at BranchWood."
He couldn't give the absolute truth to why he was there. Instead he gave the boy something that would be reasonable to them. "Only to acquire more than I already have," he answered flatly before opening the ventilation of his mask though it still showed no hint of his face.
During the entire time of the introduction, a young girl, covered in blood stained bandages, sat in the back, with a board look on her face, the entire time through. Behind the girl, she held a large key attached to a chain, with a stitched mouth, and large eyes, it rested against the wall eying everyone, in the crowd. After the big introduction, about squads and whatever else the headmaster said. The girl stood up fron behind the crowd, showing her short red hair, and pail white skin. The young watched as everyone started to get into their groups, and yawned. "Half of us are probably going to be killed half so why bother, with the squads..." mumbled the girl, dragging her large key across the floorb
Blake lifted his eyes to what the woman had said and laughed. "You have a good point there!" He walks over the woman not bothered by her appearance. "So what brings you here?" He walks next to her slightly but obviously you could tell he wasn't one for crowds.
"That's quite the unique weapon there! Seems pretty rare haven't seen one like it before." His interest with weapons was shown immediately. Not only by the weapons at his side but by his interest in the weapon itself.

The mercenary examined her weapon and her bloody appearance though it wasn't quite revolting. The weapon looked to be alive itself. Unique. Strange. The list can go on how to describe it. It also seemed that Black was a dummy for weaponry from what Ulysses could see. He didn't follow, but his eyes remained on the two, able to hear their conversation as if they sat beside him.
