After spending some time on the Discord server, I've set up public RP channels that match the areas we have on our map in-game. The downside to this is that one would have to make alternate Discord accounts to preserve anonymity, but I felt this was the best way to make NV more accessible to the RP community. I'll be posting recruitment on RPR to hopefully bring in the people who've expressed to me an interest in the continuity, but a lack of desire to download Furcadia to participate.
Starting this month (for the next three months), any public RPs from the Discord server that are posted to the forums will receive double points for the raffle, up to a maximum of four per day. You can still receive one point per RP in game, for a maximum of two per day. I've prepaid multiple artists for the next few months, as we're shifting to rewards that will appeal to both people in game and on RPR.
While neither platform has a formal review process for character applications, the joining the Furcadia group means you've agreed to the rules. On Discord, there is a minor application just to have players verify if they're over 18 and have read the rules. We'll also have opt-in NSFW channels which will be accessible 24/7, unlike Late Night NV in game.
