This is just a PSA regarding a rule clarification. We've noticed a bunch of Open RP threads recently being put on pause. While this is not the way the rules were written, we overlooked it for a time because the paused threads were being picked back up generally a few hours later. Lately, though, we've been seeing more paused for more than 24 hours. The longer a thread is paused, the less likely it will be continued, particularly if the group is large. Additionally, as long as a thread is not closed, no points are being counted for it.
Moving forward, pausing threads will be disallowed. Any threads that say (Paused) will be marked (Closed) by a Senior Staff member. Please refer to the updated rule below:
When the slots are full, if slots are limited, mark the thread (Full) in the title so that people know. When the Open RP host leaves the session, even if they aren't posting out of the RP, they must update the title to say (Closed) if they have not already and make a note of this at the end of their last post.
Once an Open RP has been marked Closed in the host's last post, existing participants may continue to RP in the thread after that, but no further points will be counted.

- Addendum: Please be sure to mark your open threads with "Open" after the title, or after the number of spots if there's a limit! For example: Open Mic Night (Open) or Open Mic Night (4-6 spots Open).

You would close the thread when leaving it.
You can always come back to it later but once you leave, it does need to be closed. -
-raises hand- If we have to pause due to like... work + sleep (usually my reason for needing to step away for part of a day), do we still leave it "Open” and just make note in a post that we'll return?
My thread started kind of late in the night for me (#notanightowl), meaning I had to go to bed a couple of times in the middle of it, so I'm just asking for clarification sake.
