Wooohooo! The Prize Potato-ness has now spread to New Versailles and here is the first group exclusive giveaway from me! With this raffle, a grand prize winner will get a Wand of Epicness (which will give them three months worth of epic) and a runner up winner will get an Oil of Epicness (which will give them a month worth of epic).

giphy.gif

To enter, you must tell me which New Versailles character of your own creation is your favorite and why. You can do this by posting as that character or by using your player account. But only pick one character! You can list others that you play if you really, really want to, but it'll only count as one entry.

giphy.gif

You can get "UNLIMITED" BONUS entries into this raffle by telling me who your favorite New Versailles characters created/played by another person are and why! So if you list 10 chars, you get 10 bonus entries. If you list 5 chars, you get 5 bonus entries. So on, and so forth. You don't have to have RPed with them before, so don't feel like you can't mention them if you've only been admiring them from afar!

Rules:
1. Numbers will be assigned to participating players in the order entries are received!
2. All characters named MUST be in the New Versailles group. I'll be checking before counting the entries! If the character is not in the group, it will not count as an entry or bonus entry for the raffle.
3. I said "Unlimited" Bonus entries, but technically there is a limit because there's a finite number of characters in the group, so don't get weird about the language use, mmmkay?
4. When listing characters belonging to others, please be honest! If it's found that you've listed your own anonymous character for a bonus entry, that would make me very sad and I will more than likely disqualify you from this raffle.
5. If you think of more chars you want to give love to after you've entered, by all means! Leave another reply with more characters for bonus entries!
6. Deadline to enter will be Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2am Pacific Time. Winner(s) will be drawn later that day.
giphy.gif

If you want to do this just for fun, go ahead! Just make a note not to count your reply as an official entry. Put it towards the top, make it bold, just do something so I can see it because my urge to give things away to everyone is very strong and overrides a lot of thingssssss!

Now go forth and love on some characters!! Good luck, everyone!

<3,
Somnom
My favorite character of my own creation would have to be Atley.
- He's one of the few characters I can play across multiple universes because his personality is so diverse.
- He's not "traditional" by any stretch of the imagination - neither in general or as a vampire.
- He's not necessarily moody or sad, so he's easy to roleplay in groups with - generally speaking, he's a social butterfly.

Favorite characters belonging to other people:
Rainier - his profile may be naked, but just you wait folks! He's a dark, troubled individual with so many skeletons in his closet that it's hard to imagine how he gets up in the morning! Deeply compelling and wonderfully written, he's a character that would really need no introduction - if only his creator would work on his profile. :P Love you Kim

Corbeau - because she's this beautiful, broken little thing who keeps changing every time I stalk her character profile. So fragile yet so strong at the same time, she's just one of those characters that feel human and real -- like her writing is just following the story of an actually existing person.

Trevor - really, I mean there are only about 10,000 5 star reviews on his RPR and that's for a reason. I haven't rpd with him in a while, but when I did I was always blown away by how real he felt. Gritty and honest and sad, but not in the way that made him difficult to interact with.

Kenzi - she might be trailer trash but she's so much more than that. I've seen and rpd with quite a few "country bumpkins" and most of them just felt forced. Like maybe the writers had only seen "southern" portrayed in trashy movies instead of living it themselves - but not Kenzi. She's so real and natural that it's really hard not to get swept away in the depth of her character.

Wilhelmina - I mean honestly, is this even a surprise? I've never roleplayed with her, but I've seen the evidence of her destruction! She's a wildly captivating character that's anything but ordinary and I can't help but just love that. She adapts to her situations - or otherwise makes them adapt to her! - in such a way that is so organic and fun to read.

Daniels - I always love myself a good demon, especially when I'm awful at playing them myself! From what I've read of his personality and demeanor, he's a dynamic individual that always keeps people guessing and I just love that, it makes roleplay so completely and utterly compelling that it's hard to stop reading!

Chance - the grumpy half-vampire doctor that just seems so utterly and completely broken that it's hard not to want to learn more about him! I don't think I've seen him in roleplay yet, but he's someone I've kept my eye out for simply because he seems so wonderfully designed that the roleplay can't be anything but just as wonderful!

Peej - I can't help it, this character is just Awesome. I've always loved the idea of a ghoul, but this character just seems like so much more than that. I can't wait to see what this character does!

(I'm going to keep adding to this later.) ;)
Almost by default, it's gotta be Aaron - the rest are but young and green, this round!

He's a guy that ends up transplanted to other settings for a handful of years at a time, and I always come back to the original with fresh insight I'd scooped from his development elsewhere. He started out a very straightforward evil, but digging into motivations and uncovering new situations meant that things were never, ever that simple, and that definitely carries over to him, here. Without dropping any spoilers, his is such a weird head-space in which I can play around and I kind of love it - even if it's a bit exhausting at times.

He's a big dang nerd and may actually be more obsessed with eighties sci-fi/body horror and eighties new wave and darkwave more than I am.

Also his claim was originally Jeff Goldblum, way back when, which leads into a cozy and strange pit of the internet in and of itself.

---

I'm not cozying up, I swear, but Wilhelmina. I've not seen her in action yet, but reading her profile is just a joyously odd and fascinating thing and I keep finding myself peeking back in. Also her claim is super...pointy(?) and seems pretty ripe to turn into a fun design for anyone who feels like making art. I like interesting-looking people, never mind when they're going off and doing offbeat things!

Lia - I miss Lia! This is mostly a carry-over from old-school New Versailles - and I really want to see where she ended up! I vibed hard with her personality back then and felt for the messed-up stuff in which she'd ended up, and I want to see how Supe-Doctor-Lia approaches the world.

I love Kaelee dearly in any incarnation and I am SO happy to see her, here. She's a genius, persistently optimistic no matter the situation, and if she sticks around I'd love to see how she tackles any oncoming supernormal problems that might head her way.

There are so many people, though! I'm not meaning to leave people out - not being in these three isn't a slight at all, guys! - but I'll try to add to this while the raffle keeps running! :)
I have many characters in NV who are my favorite, so picking one is super hard! (They sort of cycle. ) But right now, if I HAVE to pick JUUUUUST one, I think it would have to be............. *Drumroll*

Vera!

I like her because she is simple, for her the world is bright, and sweet. She chooses to see what is good and what she likes and chooses to show the world just how happy and fun a place it is in her eyes. Often mistaken for a kid IC, it's fun to know that deep inside there is a maturity that can come out if need be, but really she prefers to act like a kid, and for everyone else to join in too.

Now the fun part! I love multiple characters from multiple people, but for this I will stick to only pick the few I have had the joy if PRing with, seeing in action, or gotten to know through talking with the creator, as I want to do them justice.

Andy- Played by Lib, is just the sweetest thing in the world. I love the way she gets the trickster fae down just right, and how he comes across as both wise/ mysterious AND mischievous. There is so much depth below the surface that falling down that well could have a person lost and yet, maybe that isn't such a bad thing.

Dhoruba- Played by Lib, is such a cool character. From his story to his concept, to the way he is played. I loved seeing an honorable character played with moral and backbone and I really can't wait to see more of him.

Yaz- Played by Lib, is like this amazing monster of a woman. I don't even know how to describe it. I don;t know if her being tarrying is hot, or horrifying but it's something special and she deserved to be mentioned as one of my favorite.

Harlowe- Played by Somnom. Now while I love all of Som's characters Dr De is sort of a special case. She is so sweet, and kind, and complex. She is self sacrificing but not in a way that draws any sort of attention. She's... nuanced in a way that I really appreciate, and paired with a dark sense of humor it's hard not to fall madly in love.

Begonia-Played by Somnom is just this, how to describe her? She's a bird, through and through. And while it is subtle, and it's nuanced it's there. Maybe someone who didn't know what she was wouldn't notice, it blends soooo seamlessly in with who Bego is a person, but as soon as you know all those little habits come falling into place for a face slapping 'well that makes sense' moment. I can't begin to say how much I enjoy her personality, and the way Somnom plays her. It's absolutely delightful!

Umbra- Is one of those characters that is just special. I love him, and I hate him, and I really love to hate him. The prime example of hidden villainy there is no reason IC not to be fully delighted walking into or out of a conversation with the clever professor. He doesn't belong in any boxes, and is so much more than meets the eye.

Finnley- Played by bones, is just UGH!! I absolutely love him so much, so so much. Not only is he crass, rash, and strangely amiable, he's this new take on something old. He is just the kind of character you want to get to know, and know, and know and have around as if he's not saying something that will make you smile OOC, he's doing something that makes you just want to see where things goooo!

Corbeau- Wile I haven't had the chance to see much of Beau in actual play, I really appreciate all I have seen of her IC and OOC. From the personality, to the spunk, to the issues this poor woman has, she is raw and real and such a hoot. Her story is compelling, and her life is chaos, all in all Beau is the kind of mess you just got to love.

Cassidy-Is hard not to like, the character themselves is complicated, and played very well. They are so much deeper than they appear to be and hold so much more weight than a person would expect. It's sort of a 'expect the unexpected' sort of situation and I dig it.

Moon Su-jin It's hard to voice how bad I feel for this character sometimes, but that aside, Su-jin is such a little ray of sunshine, i's hard to find character that are-pure in the face of repeat adversity, changed by events but not losing who they are and that, well that would be this little bird. There is so much that doesn't come up on the first meeting, or the second, but it's THERE waiting to be discovered. Good things come in small packages.

Judah Stevens- Is just this super sweet, shy complicated person. I really enjoy how real he is and how much the writer owns the concept and description of him!
WELL im sure everyone can guess which of my chars is my favorite so i will spare u the drama and just spit it out: trevor. he is my favorite of my creations, despite being a total trainwreck and asshole. he's my favorite to play because he's honestly quite cathartic, but also he's a few years old now and has gone through a few transitions, namely human to vampire, which is just cool to feel out. for me, it adds a certain depth to have played him as a human being and have that fundamental understanding of his character before i threw the supernatural into the mix.
my fave chars played by others is going to be a hard list and i will probably come back and keep adding to it as i think of them, but to start off let's also give an obvious answer:

corbeau duh. what a stupid baby, for falling for my trev, but i love her sm. she has been through so much and somehow all that trauma matches perfectly with trev's trauma and it's just this beautiful, sad storm. together they are so nuanced that i'm pretty sure no one really understands what aubrey and i see in the pair, but neither of us care. she is the method to his madness and i absolutely love making her happy and making her sad and really just pushing her buttons because her reactions are unpredictable. i never know what she's gonna do next and that's exactly what makes rp fun.

kenzi the bro to my mance that trev wants in the pants. idk what that sentence was supposed to be, but i feel like mina would understand. i can count on like one hand the characters that trev has formed genuine connections to, and i'm not at all surprised to put kenzi on that list. she is so real and human, both easily stereotyped and detailed enough that she surprises me often. and both she and mina are hilarious and shrewd. i am constantly laughing throughout our rps and supremely enjoy the battle of wits trev gets to engage with when he spends time with kenzi.

hellmina trev's mama that he doesn't know is his mama. i haven't gotten to rp with this character as much as i'd like to, but som's portrayal is amazingly entertaining in ways that are kitschy without being overdone. she is the literal definition of dramatic and wild. i am endlessly amused when i'm reading her posts and cannot wait to get into more depth with this character because i know in my bones it's going to be so much fun for everyone (except maybe trevor).

su-jin LITTLE BABY, but don't call him baby, he's big boy and should 100% hold the knife. like hellmina, i love reading su's posts because there's just something so endearing in the way toby portrays him without being sickeningly sweet. he is so sincere that sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad, and toby walks that fine line beautifully without compromising su-jin's dignity. he is intelligent and hilarious, and i always have so much fun with him, even if he's kicking the shit out of my character.
Okay hear me out, I know it's kind of weird, but honestly my favorite character of my own is strangely enough the one I have the least amount of muse for:
Eddie
(Bet u guys thought I was gonna say Donny, huh?)

To me, Eddie is more than just a character. He is a strange, almost... coping mechanism that I have invented to occupy my brain in the exact places that I need him to. When I made him, I wanted to bring to life the idea that those little annoying embarrassing thoughts we all get in our heads when we're trying to sleep, or standing in the shower, or making offerings to the porcelain gods, or dozing off for whatever reason - the thoughts that make us absolutely cringe into a ball and say "oh god why did I do X thing Y number of years ago?" - that perhaps there was a reason for those intrusive thoughts, and maybe, just maybe, that reason was caused by a mopey ghost feeding off your shame and embarrassment.

I've actually developed a kind of Pavlovian response because of him, when I get those creeping thoughts of absolute embarrassment where I dwell over some stupid shit I did however long ago, I simply pretend Eddie is standing there next to me, mentally say "Fuck off Eddie", and imagine him going away. When Eddie leaves, so do the thoughts. It's pretty dumb, really, but whatever works, right? (Feel free to use this too if it helps, truly the more Eddie fucks off the better.)

THAT GOOD, GOOD SHIT:
(ie all the characters I swoon over)
(They're alphabetical calm yr tatas ok)

Brooklyn - I still lose my shit every time at the cat food thing, honestly. Brook was someone I loved the entire idea of back when she was made, and I still do. She's someone that I'm so excited and happy that her player is getting back into, and someone I can't wait to interact with again.

Casey - The thought that went into this dude, honestly... it's pretty freakin' crazy. Like a metric fuckton of planning and forethought and hours and hours and HOURS of working on creating everything that went into him... and even then he still manages to surprise me with just how little I actually know about him. Can't judge this book by his cover... or... planchette... >w>;

Daphne - Daphne is such a sweet bean, and someone I honestly have been meaning to reach out and initiate more RP with. I'm devastated that our RP was cut short when it happened, but it only makes my drive to interact with her and experience her character that much more intense.

Lex - Lex was someone I think I only RPd with once ages ago, but if given the chance I would absolutely RP with again in a heartbeat. The way Lex has their shit together in life makes them someone I absolutely want to throw my characters at and beg for any of my brainchildren to learn something from them.

Mina - This one goes without saying, really. I adore Mina so, so much. She is a character with the ability to make you laugh one minute and the next tug on your heartstrings to the point of tears. The feelings she gives you when playing with her are such an intense rollercoaster, they're enough to rival that of Mina's own wildness (which is a lot, trust me). It's been days and I'm still heartbroken about her little paper hat. That should tell you a lot.

Rigamus - This poor, sweet, gentle giant. One I just discovered but instantly felt such emotion for. Maybe I'm an absolute sucker for sweet characters that hold their pain in well, and when it all comes crashing out you can't help but get caught up in the tidal wave. Somebody please give this man a hug. If you don't, I will, because he absolutely deserves one. Despite grabbing my character by his head and using his body as a baseball bat to beat another character I adore, I still love this man. That should really mean something, honestly.

Su-jin - Su-jin... yet another absolutely sweet baby that I can't help but sob-emoji over. He doesn't at all get the kind of love that he needs. WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE THIS BOY A HUG? Or, like, seven hugs? Three hugs and at least one of those little side-shoulder hugs? The duality Su-jin harbors when it comes to his emotions is such a flavorful one, and after only getting a small peek at his depth, I can't help but want to dig for more.

Vera - I haven't really gotten to RP with Vera yet (apart from like... passing comments in Fight Club), but I definitely want to! I've read over other Open RPs she was in (because I'm one of those weirdos, sorry) and they just make me want to interact with her more! She seems like such an absolute ball of adorable fun, and exactly the kind of character I want to surround myself with!

Zeik - What can I say? I love this asshole. I especially love that he is an asshole (at least in public, anyway.) The fact that he is played so consistently to his character, not changing despite people so desperately wishing he would, I think says a lot about him. He's also a gigantic mood for how I feel all the time but actually has the balls to put forth that energy, so there's that.
I'm sorry that this took so long! I'm even more sorry if I'm posting here and I owe anyone reading this a reply. oof. But, I wanted to make sure that I got in here! I would not like a prize, I just want to make people feel good!

My favorite NV character of my own is Kenzi. -- She's made up from many parts of myself,. my upbringing, my family and the culture around my home. I love playing this character because writing her comes extremely easy to me. Slipping into character with her is seamless, like a trusted hoodie with a great set of pockets. Kenzi is a hard worker who takes any job she does very seriously and completes it to the best of her ability. She has a distinct code of honor that i think makes her an even more refined kind of werewolf. She's more than just her roots, shes more than her hilariously ironic bust too. I love getting into serious scenes with this character because to me her mentality feels so complete. I've had her for about three years and even if her muse likes to come and go, I think she's planning to stick around for quite a while.

My all time girl crush is Li Ling. I don't think that there are many dour characters I like, let alone any that Iove. But, my love for this character is deep. She's hardened in a way that is believable, and there is a heavy measure of logic put into the way in which she conducts herself. A self made success, she doesn't owe anyone a damn thing and I love that about her. What a meal. Li Ling is too glam to give a damn, and wouldn't step on you for all of the tea in china. She's got better things to do. I just want to disappoint her. I know that none of my girls are worthy of her time, but she's the one ogre I would love to be around. uwu

Brie Yeah it's another Desi character, I love the way this player creates. This particular character is a work of art as well. She's sweet, and she's kind to everyone she meets. But despite this, her engineer brain and comedic personality traits keep this gal from being 'just sweet', and I admire the multi dimensional make of her quite a bit! I have fallen in love with this gentle spirit once already, so I might be a bit biased in my opinion. Brie has a distinct group of interests and herr player is knowledgable about each and every one of them. Brie loves cryptids and at the drop of a hat can tell you all about them. Brie loves building things and I can see that in most scenes with her. The sugary side of this girl is sweeter than anything in the whole world and she MUST be protected at all costs ok? <3

Casey We've only just begun to RP but I can tell that he and Kenzi are going to strike up a decent friendship. He's not an asshole, and he has every right to be. His RPR is a rare treat, and I have to admit that I have read it more than a few times. I love this character. His concept is robust and genuinely handcrafted. Every bit of him was made with love and hard work. Thanks so much scuz. ;-;

Luke I've just met this peach but I can tell you with full confidence that I love him already. He makes for a fantastic shifter, because I can see his animal nature brewing within the man during RP. I can also see that desire to run wild and free, and the way in which it is held back by human society. I know he's just come back from a big journey of self, and being able to witness that IC is astounding. The writer did a fantastic job avoiding "tough guy werewolf" tropes and I have such an admiration of that.

Orien Despite the fact that I'm married to his player, I have a great deal of appreciation for the hard work and dedication that went into the recent rebranding of this character. I love that Nick pulled the trigger in changing him into something new and I even think I like 2.0 better. His origin is rich and immersive, it's so detailed that it blows my mind. It's not even my char and I'm so proud.

Abellia I love Doctor Patrice. From her freckled face to her beautiful and tragic brain. This is my favorite sort of female monster. She's both soft and horrifying on the inside, that's what counts. She's like a pop tart that's full of existential dread. Abellia is an aesthetic delight. Her beauty is believeable, her curves are plush and natural in a way that makes this character feel all the more real to me. She's a doctor, and she worked her beautiful buns off to become one.

Evie This character went up so quickly and with so much detail that I question whether or not this player is human. A beautiful girl with a less than graceful set of hands, I love Evie for what she is. A damn mess, but also an innocent bystander to the mess that she is. Her story really seems like one that has to be so much fun to be a part of. The possibilities here are truly endless.

Henri I swooned at her concept when I read it. Humans are so beautiful in a setting like this one because the sky can truly be the limit. Additionally, her job and passion are two seperate things. I love that this character showcases how passion doesn't pay the bills. She's soft and malleable in a setting which quickly hardens people. Gosh, Henri is a well made gem and I love her very much!

Daphne I think that this design is beautiful, but I also think that the irony of someone who's head frequently comes off being a talented seamstress tickles me DEEPLY. I love the way that Daphne interracts with the world around her. This girl has every reason to be a jaded brood lord but here she is, carrying a sunny disposition. She's got a bright personality to combat the darkness of her wardrobe, and that makes me super happy to see! As a grandma in a meme once said "If you need help, ask a goth girl.. Goth girls are always nice."

Laveau A character that has withstood the test of time, Laveau has an ability to work in each and every situation you could think to put her in. Seamless to integrate into any scene, I am jealous of this chameleon ability on the daily. She's a unique creature housed within a unique woman and I just can't get enough of her devil may care attitude. A dennis level menace, I love seeing her in action. She's not nice, but she's not mean, and she's here to probably fuck up your day. Beep beep, motherfucker! :D

Trevor Dude, this is going to be long because we have a deep plot and I'm sorry! I never have loved and been so pissed off by a character in my life. Trevor has this shell made of cracked asphault, sidewalk gum, toxic masculinity and literal cancer. But the funniest thing about it is that this is some shitty asphault, and through each crack you see something within. Something soft, sometimes. Other times it's something sad. Occasionally you'll glimpse sweetness, regret and adoration. Before he insults you. He's funny, and the strange friendship that he shares with my werewolf is a proof of that. They are constantly stealing peeks at the softness within one another and instantly covering it by roasting one another to a crisp, laughing about it and then doing it all over again. Their dynamic is a precious monument to friendship in my eyes, and I will always protect that. He's truly a layered man, plagued by darkness at every turn and not doing shit to hide it other than puffing out his chest and playing tough. Those with a keen set of eyes see the layer of suffering that surrounds him though, the sadness in him is thick, and it's a deep unrelenting theme. God, he's crazy realistic!

Moon Su-Jin I can't deal with this cutie. Everything about him makes my heart smile. I know that he is not a baby, but there is a precious quality to him that just makes me want to protect his light. I love his expressive sense of fashion and how this factors into the way the character regards the aesthetic parts of the world around him. He always seems to be looking at hair and outfits, which is a fun detail I find helps to round the character for me mentally. A SECRET ARTISTIC EYE! :D

Tav STOP I HAVE A LARGE CRUSH ON THIS MAN AND I NEED HELP. Maybe it's that I'm weak for a vampire. Nah, it goes deeper than that. Tav is an artist, which sits just fine in a line that says "occupation" on a profile. However, I have seen the way in which the artistic qualities of this character's mind shine through. Even if it's just from OOC talking about the character, he is someone who truly loves art and I think it's beautifully folded into the character's concept.

Suwon Just like a fight club messiah, this poor sweetheart paved the road to extreme fight matches and the world was never the same. The character's ability to treat a fight like a fair game and an agreement rather than a blood sport is also admirable. I could really see Suwon having a career in this field because even when it's a hobby he exhibits a measure of professionalism that's out of this world. He's courteous, and that's really what counts when you're beating other people up for fun.

Hellmina The woman, the myth, the chupacabra of Fight Club.I love this character. She's weird and wonderful in all of the best ways. It makes my heart sing reading anything that she's a part of. I see Hellmina as a loud, strange sweater in a thrift store. One that is so odd you take a second look and go Hey, I bet that's nice and fun to have around. She subverts the 'femme fatale' trope and dares to pose it a question. 'Do my boobs have to be out for me to be deadly and scary'!? Nope! They sure don't. She's authentically herself and herself is a brand of unique you've never experienced before now. I love her ok? She's funny, she's inventive, and shes just freaking fun.

Andronicus A rarely seen genre of character, he's a love letter to nature. This character makes me feel a longing for a time that I have never lived in. He's so well made, the attention to detail on what he is and how this effects his life in a modern setting is just incomparable. I also maybe have a deep love and appreciation for ginger haired supernaturals! The amount of goat jokes as commentary here and there do a service in keeping the profile and discussions around him extremely fun to read. Andronicus' concept takes it's self the right amount of seriously! An easy and educational read, I feel smarter every time I look over his page.

Huxley Magic tattoos are actually one of the coolest concepts that I have ever heard of and it makes my heart happy to know that there are people milling about this city with magic etched into their skin. Huxley isn't someone I've been able to play with, but I love the way that she looks. She's not able to be compared to anyone and I really think that this is an exceptional feature to have. She's incredibly passionate about the things she likes, and you can tell this just by looking at the design where Huxley's love of color, her enjoyment of art, and other pieces of her personality shine through. <3

(More to come--)
My favorite character of my own would definitely have to be my Beau. She began as a vent character, a worst case scenario for my various diagnoses, but she and I have both grown in different directions since then. It's been such a treat to have her adapt and react to the challenges I've presented for her, and while my past characters have been broken by their trauma, she's thrived to spite it. She's just a treat to write.

For others' characters...

Trev - Surprising no one at all, this old vampire man is my favorite character in NV. Originally meant to be the antagonist to my Beau, they somehow fell into step with each other by their third encounter. Somehow, all of his trauma makes him a perfect foil for her. Trevor is complicated. He's not just a mean, gross old man like some people would think, he's also capable of such depth that it's actually made me tear up a few times over the years. (Also I don't think he's gross, I think he's super hot.) I love seeing the ways in which he shows his love, only to do something awful to temper it moments later. The writing behind him is solid, lush with vivid details, and always leaves me wanting more.

Wilhelmina - Hellmina is one of my favorite vampires. She's boisterous and larger than life and full of mischief. She's also charming when she wants to be, and I love that she's written in a way that makes her feel foreign without being a trope. She's so believable and fun to engage.

Tsugiri - Even though G hasn't been played in years, the writing behind him is some of my favorite. He's chaotic neutral slipping into evil territory because of abuse at the hands of fae. The changeling rose up alongside my Clio to be a consort of the Autumn Queen, and he kills solitary fae to distill their blood into the potent drug, Glam. His story was the foundation for much of NV's lore, and I love him to this day.

Su-jin - My favorite Korean (with apologies to the others), Suj is a riot in every RP. From his outlandish style to his naivete, he's endlessly entertaining. I really love his design and the little details that make him unique.

Ren - Easily one of my favorites of Mina's characters, Ren carries herself with an old world class. While many immortal characters in modern times act like they're from the present era, Ren's adapted but still feels believably older than she looks. She carries herself maturely, though there's still a certain degree of vulnerability about her. She's been through trauma, and she's overcome a lot of it to be the strong woman she is today.

Joquin - The big bad Father of the Patrice family is the reason Lia became the monster she is today. He takes what he wants with only the occasional hint of remorse. There are moments where he is a tender, doting father, though they're largely overshadowed by his chaotic evil nature. He's one of the best villains I've ever gotten to write with, and I miss RPing with him dearly.

Luke - Lu is hands down one of the best characters I've ever had the pleasure of pairing with. His on and off again relationship with Clio has had me waiting breathlessly for posts. He's at his heart a good person, but he's so deeply flawed that he can't seem to get out of his own way. It's so great to see how he's grown over the six years he's been played, and I can't wait to see where things go next for he and Clio.

Daphne - I can't help it, I love this design! It's one of my favorites to render, and for good reason. She's an absolute babe. I love seeing her take on dullahans and how that lore has been incorporated. She's a beautiful departure from the original incarnation of the design, and I'm dying to see what she does next.

Gabe - I've been stalking this character, dying to get an RP in with him. I love how Kruhee writes him, I love the lore he uses, and I think he's an absolute snack. I can't wait to see what wickedry he gets up to as he settles into NV.

Brie - True to Desi's description, Brie is a literal cinnamon roll. She's the cutest baby gay, but don't let her youth and wide-eyed awe of anything with titties fool you. She's also a brilliant roboticist! Her design is also gorgeous and unique, and I love how she's been put together.

Finn - The man, the myth, and the legend! Finn is a riot in any scenario, a truly delightful take on vampirism. Too often we see older vampires as stuffy and uptight, but Finn has rolled with the modern times beautifully. To top that off, like, I just love that he's an absolute idiot. It's great to see a vampire who isn't magically hyper capable of adulting.

Liam - Liam is a delicious villain. Sexy and deceptive, he's not afraid to lie, cheat, and take what he wants. He's a magnificent bastard who blazed a bloody trail through Clio's life, tearing down her defenses before his disappearance left her to pick up the fractured pieces of her mind.

Murdach - There's fae characters, and then there's Murds. Cold as the winter court and careless with mortal hearts, he seduced and drove Clio's mother mad. He's the reason she suffered years of abuse in the foster system, and he's the reason she suffers under the mantle of the Autumn Queen. The winter prince sows only chaos.

Yaz - I share Beau's opinion of Yaz in that I just want her to fucking crush me with her thighs. She could pulverize me into the ground, and I would thank her for it. She's probably my favorite orc character EVER, and I so look forward to seeing what she does ICly.

Laveau - More than just a token dumb lesbian, Laveau has some emotional scars to contend with. She has a lot of struggles that aren't immediately apparent until you start peeling back the layers to get a closer look at her, and I really appreciate that about the character. Her aesthetic is also that good good shit, and I'm here for it!
I don't know a whole lot of folks characters here (but I'd like to change that!)

My favorite to PLAY fluctuates a bit, but that's mostly because I don't create characters with the same frequency that I used to, so the few I DO have, you could say were my favorites... since they've stood the test of time.

Right now Brie is my favorite. She's a breath of fresh air and much more easily sociable, generally good and wholesome and easily starstruck by pretty girls.

Kenzi is pretty bae, btm with delightful twangy rough 'n tumble 'tude. Whether it's Li Ling or Brie played alongside her, she's got a rooted salt of the earth quality that often gets overlooked and while Li Ling is like 'pretty rube' Brie absolutely jives.

I NEED TO EXPAND THESE KUDOS, SO RP WITH ME.
Like Mina I do not want a prize. I am just here to celebrate peoples creative abilities and what comes of it.

My own favorite character! Now this is really difficult, I feel like a lot of the characters I have created fulfill something I had desired or going on within my life that I wanted to illuminate creativity? Some were successful in sticking around longer than others honestly and have been more successful in tickling my muse.

I am sure a lot of people would probably say that Huxley is my favorite out of all the characters I have created. And that is true and false at the same time - Icreated her on a whim for having a character who did tattoos, japanese surf aesthetic and had them - I love her in the sense of aesthetics, personality and how she has over come traumas but hate her in the sense she has been unable to hold meaningful relationships beyond those who oocly have asked to plot more in depth plots? like great friends and the like. Since in many rps I have found that a lot of people aren't used to such a wild and abrasive personality or end up dropping the plot half way through. I'd have to say an old favorite of mine that I can easily lock step in to that isn't as -popular- or well known within NV's circles sans those who have been around since the butt crack of furcadia rp dawn is Roisin.. Or Rosie or wolf mother essentially. I adore her. Shrimp, ginger haired werewolf with a blistering irish brogue and literally a mom to a horde of other notable werewolf creations and a partner to someone who also is relatively expansive. She is nerdy, down to earth and entirely minimal with frills or bells and whistles of being a lady.

LETS NOW TALK ABOUT CHARACTERS AND THE THINGS AND THE STUFF

Lunetta - LUNETTA IS A BABE. It isn't very common to see characters so well crafted and designed with cultural and genetic aspects in mind and coming from a very rich roleplay background! I love her personality and her interactions with Rosie when Moki was active and the relationship she had with Rosie's partner (he is her grandpa!) and I love a good character with vitiligo.

Mataeo LOOK AT THIS SPICY DADDY. This was the first character I have actually approached Hollie to roleplay with. I was endeared to him being a south islander character who was transformed in to a werewolf not out of spite or lust but just animal desire. Originally Roisin and him were supposed to hook up but guess what it didn't happen but he is still a handsome devil with a love for dougnuts

Stelian- the Sun to my Moon for Rosie. Despite their differences in personality and drive - Stelian is a beautifully written and researched Roma based character who has won me over time and time again. and not because he boinked my lady and they had kids together. The passion in which Hollie has for him is outstanding, burns bright and is constantly worked upon even if they are inactive within NV.

Gannicus- Do you want a good laugh? I feel like Gannicus is that character that could make you laugh with his antics. Sure you may have seen this man played in the halls of TGT a number of times, but he also is apart of NV and is Rosie's cousin on her mom's side. There isn't every day you legitimately have a wild man running about with a lack of language skills in modern times. It makes him charming and unique and I wish he was around more for his poor cousin to fish out of hairy situations.

Kirke - Kirke de Dirk. Kirke a lurka durka. I appreciate Kirke so much,s he was the proverbial thorn in my vampire's side for a good hot minute. She is a well crafted, leather goddess who takes no ones shit and has had a lot of shit done to her. (does that make sense nah, but you get the picture - get a ration of shit and your fucks go away). I love her design, and her player and just over all everything and anything by her.

Dallas - do you ever have a character that is just that memorable of a sad sap as Dallas was? He is a hunter, a hunter who actually tried and made a feverent mark upon the community with his crabby attitude and dour face. But I appreciated the edge in which he brought when others may have and had been disinterested in hunting the populace.

Max - One of Rosie's many bbs. I love him, he is the epitome of a college youth, a stubborn stick int he mud of a child who resented his mother for quite sometime until he really learned the measures in which she took to make sure his and his siblings saftey was assured. He is a cutie.

Chris - I am really biased when I say this but I absolutely adore and cherish Chris. He was a positive character despite all his flaws and issues from his career. Chris was a lover, a generous soul with a great humor that spanned in to many of my character's lives and surely that of others that once were created and I miss him all too much within Huxley's life. Any time Daryl thinks of him she wants to cry because he was the love of her life and would give anything to see him again.

Ohm - The druncle, infamous bandaged man. Their writing is chef kiss. Beautifully written and an outstanding relative of Daryl's. But the player also is a beautiful soul and such a kind person.

Rad - I MISS YOU ELLIE. I MISS RAD, I MISS HIS CUTE LITTLE FACE AND HIS SPUNKY PERSONALITY AND SPUNKY-DOG SELF.

Sadie Jay - my beloved frecklepire. I know she isn't active within NV but occasionally shes allowed to see some of the swamp. She is a well written temptress who came in to her own through stories up stories of content wrapped in a beautiful velvet. I love her personality and the core of steel this gorgeous woman has developed over the years. From a darling little diva to a woman of the night.

Jason - While everyone talks about Casey or Rueben and their magnanimous depths, I still love with my tiny little shriveled black heart Jason. He is a well spun character portraying poverty within the southern states and with a spin on ideas and tropes that are rarely explored or discovered. Surely he is a far different character now than when I played with him years ago but all the same he has remained one of my favorites created by his momthr.

Luca- MY BABY. I mean Rosie's baby, one of her mother's boys sons. (some how all of her boys have turned out to be complete momma's boys and her daughters a fathers daughter go figure). He is a big boy who loves to eat, a real gentle giant compared to the tiny tyrant that is his mother. He may not be a fully rp'd out character but he is fully conceptualized from top to bottom. I love everything from his aesthetics to personality and have never been disappointing in the creation in which has formed him

Sabina - The other half to Rosie's set of twins with Stelian. Her odd, nerdy little duckling. the epitome of a circle trying to fit in to the square hole. She is a gorgeously created character and had so much life when she was being played by her creator.

Ori -Be like water my friend! I absolutely love Ori from his design and aesthetics his creator made for him to his personality. He is a fun loving, silly noodle of a dragon who changes shape based on how much water is around him (how fucking cool is that?) He is a staunch supporter of Hux and her craft and well just her in general because she has been around since he was a wee little eggling. Just as she supports his dreams and desires.

MEYERRRR- I rarely get to meet characters like Meyer who are the complete opposite of characters like my girl Noah. He is like that fashionable sweater dad with a dark and dirty side that is rarely exposed to public. It helps that he is a cutie with a little extra booty, but over all I am glad I approached them for rp.

North- Can I tell you all how much I absolutely adore North? Here let me coach you on a character that has made a prolific mark on Hux's life so much so that she pulled him from a life of poverty and starvation to teach him her craft, to give him stability and a form of creativity beyond what he was taught through college - mind you, North is or was HER ONLY APPRENTICE. He is a well crafted character of many perfections and flaws that are encapsulated in a beautiful facade and a somber air that leaves you hungering for more. I miss you Rabbit, sorry that you are not a source of muse any more due to oocly bs.

Rowan- Flowery himbo is right. The sole heir of the moon-witch clan, the son of one of Huxley's teachers, Meria. I never actually got to interact with this character in full detail but I have appreciated him from a far. He is lovely much like the roses on his form and in his name. His mother was and still is a wonderful, highly developed character that I appreciate to this day.

Finn- I know we really don't talk any more but Finnley has always been a favorite of mine. He is skinny, grungy, stinky and beguilingly strange. He has a florid personality that is rife with a lot of humor and fun - he knows songs that fly over my head and has an outstanding love for his pink sunnies and bevvie, and isn't afraid to loose a nipple in a pit fight. I love the stranger characters because they are the ones who really stand out.

Tav - I love Octavian, and I just met him. He is a fun spin on a tattooed goth with peaks of color in a competitive profession of tattoo art.

Arturo - I appreciate this character so much, you have absolutely no idea. I barely got to interact with them within a roleplaying sense but I can see how much love and patience went in to crafting his beautiful vampire.

Rurik- talk about an oldie but a goodie, Rurik was that kind of character that had the right amount of pizazz, a rough smokey quality that I miss and adore.

Lark - Dear Lark, you are an asshole who keeps stealing my fries. Love Huxley. Lark is a familiar who is created from the bastardization of a vampire and a warlock having a child and forced in to a role she wasn't equipped for and much like slavery she broke her bonds and ran away until Huxley picked her up and well the rest was history. Now she lives the high life as a familiar who isn't forced to take an oath and gets free french fries. She is a sassy sunvagun.

Bethel- Bethel pls. I love Bethel, she is a different type of character that you rarely see. A hustler, a werewolf, a rocker and fighter and well sometimes lover all nighter. She is the right hand woahman to my nurse' Kingsley who is a nugget of a baby werewolf herself. They get in to a lot of trouble together, they are thick as thieves with a deeper little intimacy that I relish.

Claude- I don't think Claude is in NV in terms of joining the group but HELLO FATHER OF WEREWOLF HORDE NUMBER TWO WITH MY LOVELY MAMI LAUREL. He is a blistering, angry man who was ripped away from what he really wanted in life to be a participant to his pack to step up to the plate and marry my obstinate woman in a alliance to keep well her family from being obliterated. He is an old crusty character who slowly falls in love.

Thomas - MY CREEPY BABY. I adore him, if any character is well thought out it was Thomas. Honestly any character this player has made is a well crafted master piece. Thomas is creepy, gangly, awkward creature who is just wresting control of an eviler entity beneath his flesh. Think like a human sized daddy long legs who barters with you in grave dirt as currency instead of actual cash.

Li Ling- I love and hate her. This character is a blistering thorn, the unbending wheel that breaks or attempts to break those who try to push her. Shes astute, tough and a pain in the literary ass to deal with if you are Hux. But over all she is a well crafted and written creature with depth that needs to be explored.

Damien - the big bad that goes bump in the middle of the night. He is a beautiful face with a disgusting, filthy core. A completely selfish character, devoid of interest in playing nice with others in any sense of the term.

Desmond- BIG BOLSHEVIK DADDY. He is a lumber giant who i don't think is played here any more. I loved him, he was a great character with few words and less of an education sans in the art of killing a man.

Lia - I am so sorry for what Joaquin has done to you and how many have shaped you in to the monster you are today. she is a squishy, lovable woman who seemes to genuinely care for others.
