Rick Grimes, who gets shot in the line of duty and awakens from a coma to find the world dominated by the walking dead. He sets out to find his family and encounters many other survivors along the way. The title of the series refers to the survivors, and not the zombies.
The Storyline follows Rick and his group as they fight to live day to day in a world full of things that can kill you. Not only Walkers but others who come across you and your camp and want your supplies.
