After a rather interesting interaction at the lounge, Krise was making long strides to the Valdys. He was jumping up the gang plank, like a man on a mission, and he was. This island had nothing left for him, coin purses were running low... Crew was getting antsy, and so was he. "ALRIGHT YE MANGY FLEA RIDDEN BILGE RATS!!!" The Husky screamed at the top of his lungs, the crew on the Valdys snapping a gaze up at him. "I'm done wit Guildereim, gather de crew and me officers... We're leavin dis miserable lot o' land now savvy?" With that the deck of the Valdys lit up with activity, a small party barreling down the gangway to go gather the rest of the crew, men in the rigging began to ready the sails to unfurl. Krise walked around everyone, stepping up and onto the poop deck. Reaching into his pocket a half smoke cigar was pulled from his waist coat pocket, and lit with his tinderbox. The husky stepped to the railing, one boot lifted and placed onto the wood. He leaned forward resting his arm on the knee as the other brought smoldering stogie to his lips. Icey blue gaze staring out over the rolling blue. Yes... It was time.
Vergessen had been off the ship for a while, but thankfully he was headed back just as Krise yelled for the crew to gather. He had just visited Victoria one last time as he didn't venture from the ship often due to the impending departure. What the Brute didn't realize is Victoria.. the evil little woman she was.. had given Verg a little gift he didn't realize.. He should have checked.. as it wasn't the first time she'd done something like this. But he had a kiss mark on his cheek in bright noticeable lipstick.. and his horns sported a couple neatly tied bows of soft pink and blue.. The pink slower to the base of his horns while the blue was tied toward the tips. He couldn't feel his horns so didn't realize she had done so. He slips up on deck with his usual dark scowl.. though it wasn't just his look that was altered.. he smelled of Victoria as well.
Lenora Ravensbrooke wasn't too far from the ship herself, she was just down the docks a bit, relaxing and waiting for that call, though as ears heard Krise's voice, she perked and sat up from the sacks of grain she had been lounging on. "Bout time." She stretched before extending wings and with a flap, she lifted herself and shot towards the boat, streaking upwards to the crow's nest where she'd land on the railing a moment. She looked about before she hopped off and fell towards the deck, wings catching her though to make her easily land on the deck below. Catching sight of men under her own belt for the cannons, she grinned. "Lets make sure those cannons are strapped down tight and set! I'll have heads if any of them move from place!" she roared before looking towards Krise and giving a salute to him. She'd then move off to help get the ship ready to sail.
Karma followed Krise on board, bags in hand containing more feminine things than she cared to admit. Dresses, and other such things she'd normally not be caught dead in, had her slipping off to the captain's cabin to drop off the bags, before she rose to the captain's call. Not spying Manuka, she followed the only orders yelled - another female she hadn't yet met. She wandered through, weaving between the cannons; tugs and checks given to the ropes the men had tied, woman often clicking her tongue and retying a few. Only then would she climb up in Krises direction, boots thudding on the wood, until she stood next to him. She'd nudge him playfully with her hip, hair whipping in the sea breeze as she looked out to the blue. Like him, she was simply itching to set sail. Hand fluttered to her hip, to the twin pistols that were loaded should trouble hit. Call her paranoid, but she had no wish to under prepare. Not after last time. She said nothing to the husky as she stood, watching and listening for any orders specific to her. Y'know, in case the toilet needed cleaning again.
Krise Halloway could feel the large gait of his carpenter, he turned to face Verg, ready to welcome him. Then his muzzle dropped open, and for once; Krise was speechless. An awkward, and goofy grin, slipping over his facial features, before he started to stifle a laugh. "A-Ahoy Verg! Nice te see ye gettin de attentions of some bonnie lass!" He couldn't hold it anymore, the pirate let off with a hearty laugh, that threatened to double him over. "That lip stain looks good on ye, and dem bows! AH HA HA HA HA HA! Dem bows! They'll surely make our enemies quake in thar boots!" He was fighting to stay standing. "Aye mate. Good te see ye 'avin' some fun." He didn't want to laugh too much, and piss the man off, so he'd step to his side crossing his arms over his chest. "Bout time lad... 'ope yer ready fer life on de sea..." With Lenora's rather scenic entrance her salute was met with a nod. "Ahoy lass!" He called to her before letting her go about barking commands at her gun teams. Krise Halloway eyed Karma next putting her things away in the cabin then rushing off to secure the guns, it brought a smile to his face. He'd glance over to her as she took to his side. "Ahoy lass... Long time no see." He'd have to ask about what she had bought later, but for now... "Shen's prolly below decks goin o'er our charts, and mappin our course. Ye remember 'ow te man a helm, Karma? Ye wanna pull us outta port?" He'd ask before turning back towards the crew. "OY! Man dem pullies! Weigh Anchor! I wanna be outta 'ere yesterday ye filthy dogs!"
Vergessen's ear twitched, though the bows were apparently expertly placed so he couldn't feel them properly when he moved his ears. He certainly looked less intimidating considering.. When Krise barked the orders to weigh anchor he moved over to the small group of men trying to do so.. He had nothing else to do and needed to do something. He hated being idle for long. Ignoring the woman as as far as the brute was concerned only one Woman mattered on the ship.. and that was the second in command.. He reached down to grab the chain holding the anchor, snarling at the others trying to do so.. they backed off as he pulled the anchor up himself.. It was a little straining.. But he easily managed to do so much quicker then the group of men.
Lenora Ravensbrooke had caught sight of the femme following after Krise, but when she went near the cannons, lips curled and she let out a roar to the woman. "If ye're not part o' me gun team, hands off!" Oh yes, the tiopard was watchful of the large guns and if someone went near them who wasn't part of the gun team, she snapped. She wasn't going to bite the femme's head off, but she wanted to be clear. She worked along side the crew though to make sure and as the call for weighing anchor came, she moved, but paused in seeing Verg pull it up himself. She chuckled and moved back to helping elsewhere to get the ship set. She had worked with her gun team, getting them set in how she wanted them to work for when battles came and cannons were needed. She worked them, making sure they got the routine down of three men to a cannon. Course she'd be helping with it as well. Wings spread and she'd fly up to a sail where one crew member was having trouble with a tie, she helped get the knot undone.
Karma wrinkled her muzzle as she was barked at by the stranger. Breatheeeee, she mused to herself, nostrils flaring as she bit on the inside of her cheek. Footsteps to Krise would perhaps be a little more stomped however, the malamute not exactly known for having patience. And then, the husky was calling for her attention with the promise of the helm. She beamed, tail beginning to wag slowly underneath her dress. "Ya a do," she purred, hips wiggling in excitement, before she padded to the wheel. Hands ran over the wood, the smooth texture, before she looked to the a very dolled up Vergessen as he began to take up the anchor - by himself. As moody as she was with... most of the crew, even she was impressed by the act. And then, she was looking behind her, guesturing Krise closer, before she'd wrap her hands around the poles of mahogany, and begin to expertly turn that wheel. Of course she knew how - Krise had taught her himself, all those years ago.
Krise Halloway glanced at Verg as he lifted up the anchor will nilly. "Holy shite..." He whispered to himself. He knew the man was strong, but that strong!? That anchor stopped the whole damn ship! He could only wonder if he could lift them both at the same time. Something to find out later. Then came Lenora barking at Karma over the cannon. He chuckled some and shook his head. Everyone seemed to be giving the woman a hard time, but he knew... That once they saw what she was capable of doing, she'd earn their respect. He'd wait until she was done untying the knot, before whistling. "OY! Master Gunner! C'mere! Ye te Verg." He'd wait for them to come over. "As some of ye are knowin... Karma joined our crew in rather dramatic way... She be from me old crew aboard the Luthana, aint really findin' 'er place... I know where she stands... Know where 'er skill lie." He'd glance over to the woman manning the helm. "Lenora, as Master Gunner, yer in charge of me 12 pounders, and swivels on the poop deck." Krise Halloway smiled. "Well, when it comes te close up battles, we're gonna need someone te lead de musketmen... Karma's gonna be that mort... She's a good shot, I know dat, cause I'm de one who taught 'er te sling iron... She's a good shot wit a long rifle te... So Lenora, under ye... Karma will be our Lead Markswoman, clearin de way fer me and de boardin crew... Which Verg..." He glanced up at the tall bastard. "I want ye on me boardin crew... Yer a fuckin ox... A fuckin' herd of oxes! Ye down fer some killin wit' dat big ol' axe o' yers?"
Vergessen had spent more years then he could count handling iron and blacksmithing. Not to mention his general brutish size and demonic strength. The anker was little trouble, specialy as he had less and less chain to add to the weight as it was lifted from the water. He finished his task with a grunt and sent a glare toward the men that had been working to pull the anker up before.. only to turn away from them when Krise called for him. He moved over to the little gathering, but as Krise spoke he eyed Karma with his usual scowling glare, still irritated with the woman, though not for the reasons others might think. When he was brought up again he looks over to his Captain, only to shift his weight with a slight hint of a smirk. Yes, he could do that. And it was safer for him to swing his axe on someone elses whip then their own. He hardly wanted the Monkey Man spazzing on him for putting his axe through the deck.
Lenora Ravensbrooke didn't know the other woman all that well, so of course she would be touchie about who touched the cannons if they weren't part of her gun team. Ears flicked in hearing that whistle from Krise and like a diving peregrine falcon, she took a nose dive for the deck, only to pull up and land gracefully on her feet. Show off? No not really, was just her being herself. "Captain?" she asked, then looked to Verg and smirked. "Love the bows." She chuckled before looking back to Krise. "Actually...I hadn't heard of this." It was new to her, but as he mentioned the twelve pounders and swivels, she grinned. She listened, though rolled her shoulders some as he did so. "Eh, so long as she keeps hands off the cannons. I don't want to have to show just ye why me nickname is Bloodfang." She chuckled as the husky already knew. Sabre glanced over her shoulder a moment to look at the other femme, lip curling a little. She wasn't impressed yet. It would take a bit.
Karma's ears perked as Krise mentioned her to the crew. She might have blushed - perhaps she did, though her fur hid most of it. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught Vergessen's scowl, and then the Master Gunner's comments and lipsneering. "Thank ya, Cap'n," she purred, offering him a smile, hands all the while continuing to steer the darling ship they were all on board of. For once, the malamute was clearly trying to keep her tongue in check, as well as her temper. She'd made more than enough enimies on this crew, and she didn't want to make anymore - or waste her breath stating that she was only following orders, or trying to help. Tail had ceased wagging however, her ears tilting against her forehead. She said nothing else on her new found title on the ship - she knew it'd take more than him telling them she was a good shot to become a member of the crew.
Krise Halloway glanced to Verg, the way he smirked. "Yeah... I know ye were a killer." He gave the carpenter a punch to the arm, though at his height it was probably his forearm. A manly show of approval, he noted everyone's glances to Karma. He knew she had alot to show, but he said nothing but the grin upon his muzzle. He knew what she was capable of, she wouldn't disappoint. "Don't worry lass, she knows how te wrangle a 12 pounder, but dis mort paints masterpieces with a boomstick, savvy?" He talked her up a bit and winked. Watching as Karma brought the ship outta port. He pulled a compass from his pocket and walked over to the Helm to stand beside her. Holding the compass out straight for her to see. Make a headin' South by South East... And bring me dat horizon. Lenora, we aint needin dem guns tonight, So... Make sure dem crew workin... Verg ye go te... Keep me ship shape... Me?" Krise Halloway drew in a deep breath. "Now we are ready to sail for the horn!" The captain called out in a roguish harmonious shanty like way. The crew called out "Weigh hey! Roll and Go!" Krise responded "Our boots and our clothes, boys, are all in the pawn!" In which the crew shouted back "To be rollicking randy dandy-O!" The sea shanty started, to keep the morals high, and the work fluid.
Vergessen blinks, glancing at Lenora when she looked at him, only to arch a brow as he scowled at her.. his confusion... amusingly obvious. What bows? What the hell was she talking about? He brushed it aside though and turned his attention back to Krise. as eh started speaking again. He arches a brow as the brute rumbles. Indeed.. though when the singing started he turns away.. Casting Lenora another confused and glowering glare he heads toward the ladder that led below. He had to keep up with inspections after all.. But first, a visit to his room. He did general inspections better in feral form.
Lenora Ravensbrooke turned her attention away from the woman at the helm and back to her captain, though Velg was given a glance and she chuckled. Krise's words were heard and she gave a sharp nod. "Fine." She said and as he mentioned not needing the cannons yet, she chuckled and flicked her tail. "Oh I'll make sure they're well enough." Once the compass was out, she knew that was a dismissal and she'd make her way down. The shanty started though, she froze and wings sank a little, ears lowering some. That song...oh that song. It stirred in her heart and she soon enough perked up and started to sing with the crew. She knew the words, it was a song that she had come to learn once she had first joined her father's crew.
Krise Halloway continued his shanty as the ship started to teeter to the side as the slow moving hulk of wood started sliding away from the port. The captain continued that song. Until its end. Bringing them safely away from the island. "Alright! Drop me sails! I want this large barge skippin 'cross dem waves! We got an eager ship sittin' low in de water filled with taxes, jes waitin fer us te come ease their burden!" He called out to a collective jubious cry from the crew. The large sails unfurled and the ship lurched as it caught the winde and pulled quickly in its southern course. Krise took in a deep breath, just a few days more and they'd meet their first victim and he would see just what his crew was actually capable of. This was what he was born to do... This was his calling. The seas would carry them, the utterance of the Valdys and it's merciless crew would strike fear into the hearts of sailors from the Olde World to the Dragonlands. <End Scene>
