The Setting
Here you will find some of the settings that have been created for use in this vast science fantasy world. Almost all of the games will take place on Celirorus, the planet is large and these are but a few of the major settings. -
Celirorus
Located in the Botranol Quadrant, on the edge of the galaxy where intergalactic law is rarely enforced, Celirorus is a safe haven for pirates and smugglers. It is a rather large planet with an atmosphere very similar to Earth, meaning lots of different species are capable of living on it. It is most well known for the city Yasharok, the capital city on the largest continent. The city is a safe haven for thieves and smugglers, with more gaming houses and whore houses than one can count. There are no known natives, but plenty of plant and wildlife. The city is run by the High Executor, who is nothing but a corrupt politician. He takes kickbacks from several of the gambling houses and uses it to fund his own dirty habits.
The buildings closer to the Executor's house are all much finer and the entertainments had here are more high class than those found near the docking bays at the edge of town. It is here that the Den of Iniquity and Lotus Garden are located. At night the city is a light with bright flashing neon signs, and the sounds of gaming machines ring through the streets. Being so far away from civilization means that Celirorus is a little behind on technologies. Most cities are a mix of old technologies and new, giving the various towns and homes a nostalgic, quaint look. -
The Lotus Garden
The Lotus Garden is a stately looking mansion built in a c-shape on a rectangular compound. The front yard is full of fountains and gardens upon entering from the gates and leads to the building which stands in the center of the property. The house itself is shaped like a c with the opening facing the front: there is a main rectangular section of building with the front door and two tower like wings on either side of it.
Once inside, the Lotus has five floors on top of the large foyer or common room. It's architecture is akin to old Victorian with some Grecian hints in the statues and collumns. It is over all a very bright, pure looking place with enticing interior decorating. Elevation lifts bring clients and courtesans alike to their rooms but unless a courtesan's schedule is booked they will lounge on the cushy couches in the front room in hopes of snagging a client. Each floor is full of courtesans of the same Lotus level and as they get higher up their rooms become more luxurious and their rates more expensive.
The back yard of the Lotus Garden is much like the front in that it houses gardens of many different, lush plants and fountains, but it is more secluded. A wading pool is available for client books and there are secret spots where the more adventurous, exhibitionist clients may spend their time. The owner of the Lotus is Rakeesh, a secretive and hard to read Axhurine who collects many exotic aliens to work in the Lotus. Most of her courtesans have something special to offer; some skill or technique which makes them unique in bed.
The Lotus levels are as thus: Red is the newly acquired bodies who need to show their worth still, they are the cheapest level. Blue is for the slightly more talented who are starting to get repeat customers. It is at the blue level that a courtesan may wander the grounds with a client. Gold is for the especially gifted who have a repeat following and their activity is not restricted. Pink is for the top rated whores, those who have a big following or are the ones who bring in the most revenue. The White Lotus' are virgins and their rate is the most expensive of all and it usually haggled with the client who will deflower them. Once a person is sold to or bought by the Lotus, their contract belongs to Rakeesh. She brands all of her hires with the Lotus mark on their inner left wrist. -
Den of Iniquity
The Den is owned by an especially large Raescalpion named Tikon, and he takes his job very seriously. The whorehouse is his pride and joy, and while it's interior is very dimly lit, it is very clean. Tikon has traveled a lot in his life, and he is quite fond of the 'Gothic' architecture and design from Earth. Most of the Den is done in this style, with high arches and ornate bedrooms done in a darker color palate. The courtesans that work here often match the interior and The Den lends itself to clients that enjoy a little darkness in their sexual activities. Their ranking is also a color based system; with midnight being the highest ranking, followed by black, then grey. White is a new hire that has not been ranked yet. Tikon does not hire virgins, as he feels they are not experienced in the arts his clients prefer. The Den of Iniquity is located close to the city center and the High Executors house. They are considered to be the main rival of The Lotus Garden. -
Carrion Circus
This gambling house is located in the shadier part of Yasharok, near the ports. The building itself is very large, and is five stories tall. It's often populated with the smugglers and thieves that call Celirorus home. There are many gaming machines and tables here, as well as private rooms for those not wanting to deal in credits. Just about anything goes here, and even the law enforcement can be found within Carrion's walls from time to time. Little is known about the owner, except that she has rooms somewhere on the upper levels. The day to day running of the club is done by the floor boss; a halfbreed named Yamile. Carrion Circus never closes, even on holidays. -
The Excelsior
The Excelsior is Captain Braeda's ship. She bought it as scrap and fixed it up to working order, along with a few additions. The ship is mid sized, and can comfortably hold a small crew. There are several hidden compartments hidden all over the ship, and things programmed into it that make it easy for the crew to do what they do best; smuggle things. No job is too big or too small for them, as long as the right price is offered. The ship is based out of Celirorus, and it can often be found on the ports there. When not one a job, the crew tends to spend their free time at Carrion Circus.
