After the eventas that took place at The Bar, Kiri finds herself with a bounty on her head, apparently. Whoever was after her already knew where she lived. She had to find whoever was behind this, and Gutter's dead.
She definitively had to.

White_Washed_Room_1_by_MadameM_stock.jpg
What have I gotten myself into?

Kiri stared at the body on the floor of the freezer. The intense cold of the industrial fridge unit bit at the exposed skin of her arms and face, but she hardly noticed, instead extending one of her six chitinous legs to prod the body on the floor. The man was most certainly dead, but the people on his radio were very much alive, and if this person knew where to find her, so did his companions.

Everything was rapidly spinning out of control. Kiri took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She was a bounty hunter. She had gotten out of worse scrapes than this. She would no doubt find herself in worse scrapes in the future. All she had to do was calm down, sort out what she knew.

She partitioned her brain off, deciding what needed to be done. The radio changed things, and Kiri could no longer risk waiting for Yale to show up. She had to move the Raptor, and fast. But the corpse at her feet likely had an RFID tag, so taking him with her would be pointless. Grabbing the body with three arms, she kept her pistol in her fourth as she tugged the body down the hallway towards the airlock. She could jettison him once she was off the ground, and perhaps throw whoever was on the other end of that radio off her scent.

As one part of her planned logistics and another did the labor, a third part of her brain was hard at work parsing information together.
What do I know? She made a mental list. Gutter pissed off Ignis Terra, but there's another player in the game. Gutter was smuggling weapons under the guise of a small time Aavos thief for this Horseman person. That was simple enough. Whoever this Horseman guy is, he's powerful enough to hire mercenaries, smart enough to track me, and very willing to kill people.

That provided her with an interesting dilemma. She had three choices, at this point. The most obvious was to run; She had nothing invested in the Horseman or his capture. She could just... leave. Run or hide. If she disappeared forever, made herself as nonthreatening as possible...

No, that wouldn't work. The Horseman clearly wanted her dead. She knew too much. What she did with that information was irrelevant; she had it, and that was itself a death sentence. So if she couldn't run, and she couldn't hide...

Fight? As strong as the Horseman was, she had something to use against him. What little information Gutter had passed to her was worth killing over, so it was obviously extremely illegal. If she went to Ignis Terra, they could protect her.

Now there's an idea... As a gun for hire, Kiri usually never contacted the cops except to drop off a criminal and collect her cash. But if she could bring information about the Horseman to light, perhaps she could trade it for protection from him. Fire buds would likely be just as willing to kill for what Gutter told me as the Horseman.

It was decided, then. The dead man fell to the airlock floor with a wet thud, and Kiri winced. For what seemed like the first time, she noticed the mask on his face. Something about it unsettled her - implored her. Take it off? Just one little peak wouldn't hurt... she could take a look, double-time it to the bridge, and lift off to set down at the nearest Ignis Terra base.
"AHH--BLOODYTHING MUST'VE BUSTED AGAIN!" Claimed the voice on the radio before the sudden deafening sound of the T.V. overwhelmed the room. Kiri was alone, again; but with a dead body lying right in front of her.

This was a time for reflection- a breather, since the man at the other side of the radio device did not proved to be an immediate thread anymore. However, this does not mean it would cease to be. Kiri was still alive, and by the time that person realized the radio was not busted, that hit-man would still be dead. Who would fall first? The green mercenary, or whoever was behind all this? The question was, who was this Horseman person, if he was a person at all. And what Kiri had learnt about it... Gutter told her everything. If only she hadn't asked him about it all, she wouldn't be in this terrible position.

Maybe it was for the best?

As the lifeless body was thrown at the airlock, Kiri would spot something suspicious about those baggy clothes it was wearing.. and that mask...
That blood around it seemed like a clear signal that this was a biological creature (perception 7: but it was just too bright and too liquid to belong to a recently deceased creature. Come to think of it, this blood was synthetic!). Kiri knew she did not had enough time to take off all of its clothes-- the mask was first, and safety was paramount.
As Kiri took off the mask she would realize there were bits attached to it (perception 3: looked like stitches. The mas was embed to it's skin!). Once the frontal bit of the mask was removed, Kiri would notice something peculiar about those red dead eyes looking about. They seemed so slim...soft...harmless... (perception 6: this creature was an alien... and it didn't had the looks of a killer) Kiri would realize that her assassin was not a hitman... it was a she-- a hitgirl?

However, the time for examination had passed. She had to make it to the bridge, and quickly. Who knew if the person at the other side of the radio was not inside of the ship already? (Perception: 5 These devices usually had a weak radio-range)

Ignis Terra was looking for this person, so if she happened to appear on their doorstep, chances were that they would welcome her... or aboard her ship.

rolled 1d12 and got a natural 9. After the modifier of -5, got 4
Level of hostility of the 'uninvited guest' (-5 due to previous dice)

((Is the level of hostility roll a measure of how hostile Ignis Terra will be to Kiri?))

Kiri hurried to the bridge and opened the Comm panel of her ship's controls. She needed a way to signal Yale when he came back to the hanger. Perhaps an encrypted message... Damn! She looked over the saved files Yale had scattered all over the comm panel, not able to decipher any of them. He had offered, once, to teach her some of the codes he used. She had stupidly declined, out of a combination of laziness and an immature resentment that the gun-toting muscle guy knew more about high-level computer security than she did. Now, she realized that it would have been a really helpful way to communicate with him.

There was another way, though... Each hanger had a small computer display nearby that could be customized. Yale and Kiri didn't have an encryption system, but they did have a keyword: Ubiquitous. From her spot on the bridge, Kiri called up the custom editor for the hanger UI. She added a new command, Open All, and set the command description to, "Ubiquitously open all ship airlocks. (Only works in hanger, duh)" If Yale looked at the computer at all, he would find the command. Instead of making the command actually open the airlocks, it displayed a quick text message that she typed up, rushing in order to get on her way as quickly as possible.

Yale I fked up. deal with gutter went bad. got some info i should have, baddies r after me. going to ignis terra for help, recommedn you follow suite. cords to ignis outpost below

Satisfied that Yale would be able to find her later, she wasted no time getting the Raptor off the ground and navigating her way to the Ignis outpost she had given him the coordinates for. She knew a few people there, had done a contract for them before. She wouldn't be welcomed in, but she wouldn't be actively hunted, either.

As she flew, she send out a tightbeam to the outpost, waiting for someone on the other side to pick up. Meanwhile, she devoted a partition to coming up with a contingency plan. If Ignis Terra wouldn't help her, for whatever reason, she could always go to The Mineralis Aedificantes... but they were pacifists, and she doubted they would take up arms against the Horseman. At best, they could hide her while she worked things out, and buy her some time.

The call went through.

"Unidentified Frigate, this is Seargant Akins, of Ignis Terra outpost 75. Identify yourself and state your intentions."
Kiri took a nervous breath before she spoke back. "This is privateer frigate Raptor, seeking asylum. Is this channel secure?"
"State your intentions."
"I have to make sure this channel is secure."
There was a pause, and then a soft click. "Channel secured. Nobody can hear us."
"My name is Kiri Tadis, and I need help." Now that she heard herself talking out loud, she realized that she sounded whiny. "I have information regarding the criminal known as The Horseman. I can provide it, as long as you can guarantee my safety."
Another pause, and then, "Let me contact my superior."

As she waited for the call on the other end to continue, she realized that she still had a headache. Grabbing some aspirin off the first-aid kit on the wall, she downed the pills without any water.

This sucks. She decided. I wish I'd never even gone to that meeting in the bar.
Each second that passed was like an eternity. Did Ignis Terra always took this long, or was it that the circumstances made it that each tick on the clock was crucial-- deadly, even.

Steps could be heard not too far from the command cabin. Perhaps Kiri should have made sure she locked the door before trying that message, since it gave enough time to whomever else was in the ship to make his way into the same room as she was. In fact, he did not only made his way into the cabin, but leaned against a wall pretty far away from Kiri. He waited until her conversation with the Ignis Terra faction was done.

"Do you really think the Ignis Terra will care about you? After how they took care of one of their one; Gutter?" That voice... Kiri would be able to recognize it. It was the person at the other side of the radio. He looked around swiftly before pulling his gun straight at Kiri's torso "Where Chik'a. Where is agent 76?" The creature remained silent for a bit... then spoke again "You killed her, didn't you? Poor girl. . ." A crackling noise could be heard at the other side of the mask

"She had nothing though. Came here for a new start... and now... she is a dead body in a planet full of them. Now now..."
The man's finger tightened the trigger
"You know know anything, about anything, do you? You killed a girl. You let a friend of yours die AND for what? You got nothing. You will never find the Horseman. . .He will find you."
He stretched his arm, taking an aiming position
"Well, I think he just did--"

The man pressed the trigger a couple of times. The sound the revolver made was deafening. Those bullets must be thick. He then ran towards a nearby console in order to take cover for the incoming gunfight.

"Korma fet!" Kiri swore, stumbling back from the impact of a bullet on her abdomen. She could hear a sharp crack from the chitin plates under her shirt snapping. Her left hand over the wound, she had one part of her brain draw a bead on the man while the other focused on finding cover. An open crate of food packets sat in the corner of the bridge and she dove for it, firing a shot as she rolled. As soon as she was behind the crate, she heard another shot ricochet off of it. She checked her pocket for flash grenades, but all she had were HE. That wouldn't work; Everyone knew that the first rule of setting off explosions inside small, pressurized environments was don't do that.

Still, perhaps... Without pulling the pin out, Kiri tossed the grenade over her cover, pausing for a second. Her attacker swore, which she took to mean he had seen the grenade. She popped out of cover, firing at the distracted man twice before ducking back again. Both shots missed completely. A chill gripped Kiri as she checked the HUD on her gun. She had forgotten to reload after the previous firefight. Her gun only had one shot left.

Swearing under her breath, Kiri scanned her surroundings for something, anything to use against her attacker.

There it was. A fire extinguisher, hanging from the wall right in front of her. Careful not to leave her cover, she extended her leg out and kicked the canister down the the ground. She grabbed it and heaved it backwards through the air towards the assassin, who was still behind cover, waited for the clang of metal on metal, and popped out of hiding, taking aim for one last shot...

The fire extinguisher exploded in a blast of liquid nitrogen and pressurized O2. The deafening crack flexed the Raptor's cockpit window, but they were designed to sustain the blast. People, however, were not. There was a good chance her attacked would be stunned or injured by the blast.

((I took liberties with some stuff here, but once I had this scene in my head of exploding a fire extinguisher, I decided it was too cool to pass up. I hope you don't mind. Anyway, don't want to take over the RP, so I'll let you go))

The explosion of the nitrogen container would indeed be a clever strategy to distract and disorient any creature... of course, if this one was biological. "Tsk Tsk Tsk. I can't believe YOU killed seventy-six" The robotic creature lifted his lifted his arm at the direction of Kiti-- or at least tried to. Seemed that the chilling effect of the fire extinguisher were making the creature slightly slower in movement. "You will not last long... I can hear you groan in pain." The robot's eyes scanned the place for Kiri. "I can just wait for you to die."

"Miss Tardis, you are permitted to dock at bay Z-two. Please de activate your weapons before approaching, or we will engage."
The man at the other side of the radio spoke.
"Oh, I think we'll be running late on that one. Well, I will. You will be dead--" The attacker taunted as he stood out of his cover
"Miss Tardis? Please acknowledge you know where to dock."

The robot's eyes focused at the radio as he began to approach it, taking part of his attention away from Kiri. Would she be able to take the opportunity provided to sneak to her attacker, or would she run for a instead, take her chances away?

The creature glanced at the radio for a bit, before turning his eyes at a more appealing part of the ship for him-- the weapon's control console. He began to head for it. What were his intentions with it was a mystery...

Kiri hissed in pain, glancing down at her injury. Her chitin armor had taken most of the gunshot force, but it hurt like hell. Here she was, injured, trapped, and unarmed. Somehow she doubted her opponent would accept surrender.

Fighting was out of the question, as was surrendering, which really only left one option. While her attacker was distracted by the radio, Kiri got down on all...tens? She had ten limbs, so she couldn't exactly crawl on all fours. In any case, she slowly moved through the fog created by the exploded fire extinguisher, praying she wouldn't be spotted.

There was a moment where she was sure the robot had seen her move, but the moment passed. Kiri crawled out of the room stood up, and quickly locked the door, keying in a three digit password to ensure that the robot couldn't get out.

Now what to do? Her first priority would be to get a gun, so she made her way quickly to the armory, casting her gaze down at her abdomen, which was on fire with pain. As soon as she got the the supply crate where she and Yale kept they weapons, and pulled out her favorite assault rifle, she double-timed her way to the common room, where she could find a first aid kit, and began to patch up her wound. She partitioned her back two arms to tend to her injury as best she could, while her front two held the deadly assault rifle. She double checked that it was loaded with hollowpoints that wouldn't pierce the Raptor's hull.

The robot was locked in the bridge, which meant he controlled where the ship went, but she could fix that quickly. Either he would come to finish her off and she could shoot him, or she would have to go back to the bridge and end him.

She just hoped that door would hold...

SNEAK AWAY, LITTLE KIRI! Need 3+ to succesfully sneak.

The robot fingers ran across the weapon's control console as he examined it. Was the creature amazed by it, or intrigued? Truth is, each second that passed the ship was getting closer to the assigned deck. "Here, let me help you make some new friends" the robot did now knew these controls well, but he knew what his objective was; to attack the Ignis Terra base directly. Obviously a single frigate could not take it on it's own.
He was going to get the both of them killed!

The frigate weapons moved at the direction of the base
"Miss Tardis! Disable your weapons! I repeat-- Disable your weapons OR WE WIL ENGAGE"
"Hear that?" The creature snickered as he toggled the ship's turret to shoot blindly towards the direction of Ignis Terra's base ship. His intentions were clearly not to cause damage, but to get attention and agro from the faction.

The turrets spinning sound was a clear signal of what was coming next. A blazing storm of bullets began raging over the Ignis Terra ship.
"CEASE FIRE! CEASE FIRE!" The other man at the radio spoke, shortly before being interrupted by a female voice, one a lot less friendly
"Engage." The could words were heard through the radio as Ignis began to shoot at the frigate with bullet projectiles, which would harm the ship's external carcass, and only cause critical damage if it hit any of the critical components...

The robot could feel the frigate starting to vibrate due to the cracklings occurring outside the ship. And the closer they got, the more damage the frigate will sustain. "You took away seventy-six... you know how much she costed me? fit slaves like those are not easy to find."The robot turned around "So it is a fair bargain; you took her, and I will take your ship down, the same way I will take YOU" only for his eyes to locked door. He smashed a nearby console with his metallic arm, breaking it "Sneaky little alien..." The creature aimed at the door and shot, but the bullet just bounced off. He lowered his arm and waited. He had time.... the ship, however, did not.

Incoming!

Kiri launched her way through an alphabet of swear words as she put the finishing touches on her bandage. She grabbed her radio, clicking it on and cycling through the frequencies hoping, praying, that someone on the Ignis Terra base would pick up the signal.

As she got to her feet, torn between moving quickly and straining her injury or taking her time and getting, well, killed, Kiri picked her way through the Raptor's tight hallways, crowded with junk that she and Yale had never bothered to clean up. This was their home. This was their life.

And it was being shot out of the sky by her own allies.

"Hold your fire, guys! My ship's been forcibly commandeered!" She screamed into the radio. "I can disable the Raptor's weapons if you hold your fire long enough to give me time!" She didn't know if anybody had heard her, and she doubted it.

She ran back to the armory, her injury screaming in protest as a chitin plate came loose and became lodged in the wound. Every step she took, it prodded the gunshot wound and lit it on fire with pain. The pain threatened to distract her, but she was able to keep a partition clear-headed enough to remember where to go. There was an override switch - a fail-safe that Yale had installed in the ship. "Just in case we're boarded," he had told her. "This will disable the ship's weapons and gas every room but this one."

But which room was it? With a sinking feeling in her stomach, she realized it was the bridge. Not only could she not use the secret switch, but it wouldn't have any effect on the robot. Her mind racing, Kiri tried to come up with a way to disable the weapons that didn't involve climbing out onto the ship and ripping them off herself.

Inspiration struck. She checked her pocket for a pulse grenade. Nothing, but there was a box of them somewhere in the armory. It took her a moment to find it, but she located the box.

There was only one grenade. She hoped it would be enough. Peeling off the adhesive strip, she stuck the grenade to her radio and set it to broadcast openly within a fifteen meter range. Now she just had to get back to the bridge...

As she made her way through the hallway, she tried to remember the command index Yale had set the override to. She knew that command indexes 1-5000 were reserved for hard-coded orders, so she just had to count through the custom ones.

Let's see... Yale made one that warms up the food dispenser... I made one that swaps out the air filters in the brig... then there was the one that automatically turns all the lights off...

Screw it.
She decided. In the radio's hud, she set it to broadcast command indexes of 5001 and up. That would make the ship go crazy, activating every custom-made command on board, but it would also activate the hidden command. She just needed to activate it close enough to the bridge and find a place where the gas wouldn't knock her out.

The robot stared at the door for quite some time now. "A petty. Seems like she got herself locked out. Or maybe ran towards escape pod? Well, if she did that, chances are she will be as good as dead. Nobody in her conditions would survive in Aavos wilderness." The robot then turned around as he holstered his revolver and saw how a couple of bullets have mad cracks on the window at the command post. The robot headed towards one of the chairs and took a seat. . .

The robot was now sitting, watching the small projectiles hit upon the ship as if some sort of show was going on, the question was whether he had a plan under his sleeve, or was he desperate enough to commit suicide along with Kiri? Whatever his plans were, there was nobody in the room to listen to it...

The radio range was either was either too weak, or just not the right frequency. Kiri's words failed to reach the aavos officials engaging the ship. OR did they?

"Capitan Maud. I am... receiving some unclear radio frequencies from the frigate. . ."

Rhea Maud, Commander first class and head of the Ignis Terra group. Chosen for the AAvos operation given her strong character and sense of duty. In her hands laid the decision to whether or not cease fire.

The silence was sudden and deafening. As quickly as it had begun, the bullet impacts stopped. Kiri breathed a sigh of relief. Her transmission had gotten through. She had no intention of wasting the time she had purchased, however. With her assault rifle in hand, Kiri crept up to the door outside the bridge. She still had her radio set to jam the weapons if firing began again, but she doubted she would need it. Just in case Ignis Terra began firing, however...

The bridge door was binary. Either it was open or it wasn't, and Kiri couldn't partially open it. Although the robot couldn't see her through the door for the moment - assuming it didn't have infrared vision, which it very well could - she would only have a few heartbeats to shoot before he could return fire.

Conscious of the damage her weapon would do to the Raptor's delicate instruments, Kiri made sure her rifle was on semi-automatic. She took a breath, brought the gun to sight, steadied her nerves, and opened the door. As soon as the robot was in sight, she pulled the trigger, pausing a split second between each shot to make sure she did not hit a console. She managed to get two shots off before the robot turned around, and one more before he turned around. She pressed herself up against the wall, taking cover behind the doorframe.

No more shots came. Prepared for deception, Kiri risked poking an antennae out of cover to listen. Nothing.

Dead? She peeked around the corner. Her aim had been true. All three shots had landed cleanly. She didn't know whether the robot could survive without its head, but it was damaged, for sure.

"Something is not right." Rhea said in a soft chuckle "Nobody is stupid enough to attack from up front. . . They either have a death wish, or want our attention. Cease fire."
"But commander--" An official objected, but a quick glance at the commander's eyes was enough make him comply. "Weapons offline... I hope you know what you are doing commander."

Rhea remained quiet as she crossed her arms and waited . . .

The ship would soon begin to steer uncontrollably for a minute. The robot clutched his metallic hands at the seat as he watched how the ship had started to do very unusual stuff-- window wipers, loud music and even the guns started to shoot carelessly, to the point where they malfunctioned and simply stopped. "Seems like someone is toying with the ship's wires..." The robot snickered and stood up and turned around heading for the--

-BAM

The robot's hat flew off his head as an strange mixture of oil and blood sprout off his head, where the hit took place, and even underneath his eye. "Imposs--" And then, another shot got him, right on his shoulder, and the third one on a leg. The rooting body made a loud can-like noise as it fell on the ground.

That was a sight to see... The attacker, Kiri's attacker, was now lying on the floor in a pool of black reddish liquid. A few sparks would be emitted from his wounds, as well as smoke, which smelt pretty terrible. Closer inspection would show that there were organs underneath that carcass, and they were burnt and fried due to the circuits from the suit.

"Y-you...BITCH..." The metallic robot spoke, a bit more threatening, but a lot slower "...Nobody....can...stop...the horseman...remember Gutter?...*cough* He is going to get you... the same way... he got him--" The creature's red eyes began to flicker, his time with Kiri was limited, what would she do with it?
"He is still dead... and there is...nothing you can do about it..."

A loud noise could be heard from the upper part of the ship. Then... a chainsaw of some sorts. More trouble? Smoke began to fill the room. A couple of soldiers with what seemed to be gasmasks made their way to the command centre, they did not looked hostile, but they were pointing they weapons at Kiri.

"Kiri Tadis. You are charged of engaging against an official Ignis Terra ship. Please come with us, and you won't be harmed." The soldiers pointed at the path they came from, which would lead Kiri to a small shuttle that would eventually lead her to The Titan."
((A hell of a maneuver, doing a remarkably good job of boarding a wildly moving ship while it's in atmo ;)))

Kiri gaped at the soldiers in front of her, her assault rifle still hanging loose in her hands. She glanced down at the dying robot at her feet.

Suddenly, a wave of rage washed over Kiri. This Horseman had nearly gotten her killed one... two... five times in one day, and she was pretty damn pissed off about it. He had come after her in her home, twice, and gotten her home shot up. The Raptor was hers. It was her life, it was her home, and this man had invaded it twice over and filled it with holes.

Barely containing her fury, Kiri slowly set her rifle on the ground and, unsettlingly aware of the soldiers to her right, looked the robot right in the eye that hadn't been shattered by a bullet. She crouched down next to his twitching body and shot him a dagger stare sharp enough to kill a man.

"I don't know if you have some kind of intercom to the horseman, or a video feed or something," She growled at the dying attacker. "But if he can hear me right now, I want to make something absolutely, abundantly clear to this pony who thinks he can take me; Either get better hitmen, or get the fuck or my back!"

Sufficiently pissed, she stood up slowly to greet her captors. "Took you assholes long enough." Her anger expended, she submitted to the soldiers in front of her, holding her hands up in surrender while they patted her down, pulling three small grenades, a microlaser, and a combat knife out of her vest. Luckily, however, they missed the tiny nano-sharp blade she had taped behind the tag on the back of her head. She didn't think the tiny knife stood a chance against any of the men in front of her, but it was better than nothing

With the barrel of a gun pressed to her back, Kiri sullenly let the Ignis Terra troops take her aboard the ship, explaining as best she could.

"Look, I really am sorry about shooting you. That damn robot took over my ship and was trying to get me killed." The soldiers didn't say anything - probably had orders not to. A small part of her brain Kiri had left unallocated wandered and wondered aloud, "I wonder why the gas bombs didn't go off..." which earned a strange sideways look from one of the soldiers. She couldn't see under his mask, however. She hurriedly explained, "The override I used to knock the ship's guns out is also supposed to release gas to repel boarders."

At that moment there were a series of loud pops. Small disks flew out of the walls. One of the hit Kiri's head and bounced off harmlessly. She followed the hit up to a spot in the hallway corner where a small canister had launched off its lid, spewing out a light pink, opaque gas.

"Afterwhich the rain falls," Kiri shouted over the hissing of gas, citing an old Katamain idiom similar to the human phrase, "Oh shit, I jinxed it!"

"Run!" They probably had less than a minute to get off the ship before the gas knocked them all out. Yale was anything but an anesthesiologist, so the gas pumping into the corridor was probably a lethal dose. Her eyes stung as she tried to hold her breath and run at the same time.

Ignis Terra's rescue/capture mission had just gotten a bit more interesting.
((Hah... aye-- same with your perfect aiming ;P
Let's just say the ship's movement was momentarily, and it ceased before Kiri took the shot. As in, the ship is now suspended in the air... for the time being (^ -^)))

The soldiers stared at Kiri from the distance, waiting for her to place her weapons down and come with them. But first, it seemed that she had to exchange a couple of words with a dying men. The soldiers glanced at each other, and one of them shrugged. Surprisingly, the soldiers kept a firm eye and and handle of their eyes despite the hostile approach form Kiri. These men where not goons with guns, they seemed to be trained soldiers.

The men walked behind Kiri as she babbled all by herself. The soldier's eyes were vigilant, looking at every side corridor and half-open door they could lay their eyes upon. This could only mean they did not trusted her just yet. Then, a vibrating noise was heard coming within a couple of pipes in the corridor. The soldiers readied their weapons, and as soon as the loud, metallic sound of the canister bursting its lid was heard, one of the soldiers turned around and aimed at where the noise came from. He would soon lower his gun at the sight of that pink gas. Kiri wanted to run, and she would, but her arm would be grabbed tightly by an Aavos soldier whom would lead her across the corridors and into the shuttle.

"Pilot!?" A soldier spoke as he pressed a small button at his torso, a radio more likely "Start the engine, we must get off this frigate as soon as possible!" The soldier would now increase their pace "Double-time!"

The thick gas was not only rushing towards them from behind, but bits of it would sneak its way through air vents, making the ship's air feel like pepper gas, making them choke slightly at every breath they took. The soldiers where wearing helmets which incorporated some sort of filter, however, they suffering the effects of the gas too-- this was clearly an alien formula.

The shuttle was not too far away. One last spring would get them off this frigate, and in for some fresh air. . . Kiri and the soldier holding her arm were about to make it, but there was one falling behind, choking from the effects of the gas. Would he make it out, or would his legs give up before that. . . ?

(Dice Roll for Casualty)

The shuttle's engine roared as the pilot took them away from the frigate. The thick, pink gas could be seen coming out of the ship, through the windows, holes... it all vanished as soon as it reached the outside.

The shuttle travelled quickly towards The Titan.
"The target is in the shuttle sir." Spoke the pilot "Heading for top LZ. Yes sir. Understood." The pilot turned his head over his shoulder and glanced at Kiri.

At last, Miss. Tardis could catch a breath from the Horseman. The only question was if it would be one filled with calm and protection, or uncertainty and tension. What did she really knew about this faction. . ?

(("Tardis could catch a breath from the Horseman." Was that a pun? :D I love it. Minor note: Kiri is not a magic police box. It's Tadis, without the r. Anyway, I wasn't sure what to do here, so I kinda checked out on this one. Sorry.))

Still coughing and catching her breath from the gas bombs, Kiri managed to choke out, "T - Thanks." She sat on the shuttle, slowly feeling her breath return to her. As her adrenaline rush wore off, the pain of her gunshot wound increased until she could no longer bear it. She lifted up the corner of her torn shirt, examining the wound, sure she had forgotten something.

"Tarrak!" One of the soldiers glanced at her as she swore. "I forgot to disinfect." In her hurry to confront her attacker, she had staunched her bleeding without using an antiseptic. She peeled off her bandage slowly, setting the cloth soaked in blue blood on the floor. She looked up at the soldier watching her. "You have a first aid kit on this shuttle, no?"

There was brief pause before one of them reluctantly handed Kiri a small box with the universal red cross symbol. She nodded and mumbled a brief thanks, digging out a small bottle of antiseptic and dripping it onto the wound as she set about removing a shattered piece of chitin from her injury.

"Do you, uh..." The soldier on her right leaned over to see the gunshot wound. "Do you want some help with that?"

"Nah, I got this." Kiri put far more antiseptic on the wound than she normally would, but she wanted to guarantee the injury was survivable. "Much obliged," She handed the bottle back to the soldier who had given it to her. "So, with that out of the way, mind telling me where you're taking me?"
((I swear, there was no pun intended! x3))

The soldiers spoke among themselves as Kiri caught her breath. One of them placed a hand over the shoulder of the other -- the one who was coughing abruptly, and the other one looked fairly worried.

"It's going to be okay. We will be in the Titan in just a few minutes. Keep yourselves alive, okay?" Shouted the pilot. Both soldiers turned their head towards Kiri's direction as she shouted that odd word. . . Their soon grew worried at the state of her wound. "A nasty, clear shot." One of them commented before she asked for a first-aid kit, for which one answered "Yes."

Seconds later, a hand holding an aid-kit would appear in Kiri's view. "Here..." The soldier observed at her wound, but not only to see the condition of her wound, but also her tissues and texture. Where they trying to identify her, or were they truly concerned about her condition?

After Kiri's question, the soldier turned around softly and glanced at the enormous ship they were heading to; "The Titan. We have a medical centre if you want to have a professional check on you, or do directly to the command centre. Either way, An officer will more likely have a word with you."

The ship would soon enter The Titan, and the inside would not let the outside wanderer down. The soldiers would guide Kiri to whichever destination she had chosen, be it the officer's office (. . . right.) or the medical centre. The three of there would be walking for a while though. The ship was immense! Soldiers and officers are working constantly, nobody was seen just standing around. Looked like a flawless and efficient faction. . . but nothing is that perfect, is it?

Kiri knew that this faction was the excuse that Gutter used to enter that deal with the Horseman, and this same faction was the one that let him die. Right? Perhaps she had to wait for the right person to ask these questions, else... Kiri would need a bit more than luck to get out of this ship.

Visit the medical center? Kiri considered this for a beat. On one hand, she needed to make a good impression on her... captors? Protectors? Wherever she stood with Ignis Terra at the moment, she couldn't afford to look weak by submitting to one of their doctors for treatment. On the other hand, she had just been shot. It wasn't the sort of thing that you just gritted your teeth and walked away from.

She could always get her gunshot wound looked at later. For now, she was as stabilized as she was going to get, so she may as well speak with the officer who had ordered her death and then saved her by changing their mind. "If your commanding officer would like a word with me," She said casually, doing her best to hide her pain. "I suppose I'd best listen to them, hadn't I?"

She couldn't help but admire the Titan's construction as the soldiers escorted her to the command center. True to its name, the gargantuan ship dwarfed the Raptor. She resented slightly that they had taken control of her ship so easily, but it was fair; she had shot at them, after all, even if she hadn't meant to. In any case, the display of military power was nothing if not impressive. Kiri hoped she had made a wise decision; If somebody was going to protect her from this Horseman fellow hunting her, she may as well make it Ignis Terra. But if her protectors turned on her...

She set these pontifications to a partition in the posterior if her mind as she entered the command center of the Titan, finding herself staring at a beautiful display of dials, switches, and machinery. As the Raptor's pilot, Kira knew good ship engineering when she saw it, and this was damn good engineering.

The woman in command stood out like a blue Kersich. She was obviously the one in command, so Kiri turned to her with an almost casual greeting. "Afternoon, miss. Sorry about shooting you and everything. My ship had a minor case of Hitman-Trying-To-Kill-Me, but I... treated the situation. Thanks for not killing me."
A woman could be seen walking straight towards Kiri, and then examining Kiri with a smirk across her face. "Oh, you are welcome." The woman then placed a hand on her hip and glanced directly. "I see you are a fierce one, but I'm glad you didn't make me go all the way to the medical bay to converse with you. Here, follow me." A soldier would be making his way towards a door in the room as they spoke, and opening it as soon as the woman turned around. The woman headed into the room, hoping Kiri would follow.

"Please, take a seat." The woman headed for her chair at the other side of the desk. The room was pretty small, and not too comfy. Obviously a cabin or office of some sorts. They were treating Kiri with care-- considering they weren't taking her hostage or anything. "First things first--" The woman pulled a side-cabinet open and pulled out what seemed to be a bottle of unbranded liquor "You want a drink?" She then pulled two cups and placed them on the table, beginning to pour both, regardless of Kiri's answer.

"Right." She placed the bottle aside and picked the glass up, staring deeply into Kiri's eyes "A Hitman hijacked your ship and opened fire on us?" She snickered and took a sip of her drink. The taste was rather sour and dry, but a couple of seconds later it would feel like hot jelly on one's throat. "Ah-Right after you contact us about some... privileged information." She narrowed her eyes.
"What do you have for me?"
She licked her lips. The soldiers who were standing by the open door suddenly closed it-
"Don't be shy now."

((Intimidation stands for 'How much information will Ignis Terra force out of Kiri, against what Kiri would try to bargain for it. If she chooses to bargain :D))
