The Archangel's failure have lead them to their fall, quite literally. Luckily there was a lake not too far from where they jumped. Once they reached onto the water, they found themselves going deeper and deeper -- something inside the water was sucking them deeper...

And they would all be sprout out into a humid and echoing place; a cave, right underneath the lake.

The whole from where they all came from continued to spit water with pressure through the whole. There was no way they were going back through there, unless they waited for the Lake to be drained. and that could last weeks.

{The rocky formation in this cave was weak. A pierce of any type to the wall might make the whole structure crumble down, more water to enter the cave...or worse.}
Jack sat up dizzily.

"Ugh... Guys, you alright?"

Fortunately, their comms worked fine, and their armor suits were mostly intact.

"Yeah, we're okay," replied Josh. "It's kinda dark in here though, see if your mask's NV is operational.

Post-Dice:

"Yeah, it works alright, but not very well. I can't see all that well. Looks like a solid structure, but I wouldn't trust it. Who knows how thick these walls are?

Will the NV work?

The archangels were still together, and alive. It was a matter of time to see if it would remain that way...

There was echo all over the place. Every step they took, eveyr word they said, caused an immense echo that bounced off the wall, and into the concave structures in them. The effect of the water behind said structure would alter the frequency of the echo, and caused an isolating effect that was archangels feel drowsy

Would the archangels being to hallucinate? roll a 1d100 to see ;D

((Woops. Please nevermind my roll.))
"Whoa. This-" Jack was shut off by his mind. No, wait, that was communication from Josh through close-range telepathic links, one of the perks of being an Archangel.

"SHUT UP! The echoes here are weird, and I think they might have some sort of... ugh."
((Whoops, forgot to roll))

Post-dice:

"What's with the noise? This is weird. We need out. Josh, do you see a way?"

((Well? Is there?))

MIND-FREAK!!!

Each word they spoke would lead to intense wave of sounds rushing into their heads-- it would take a moment of silence for that to happen. But The Archangels didn't know that at first. As a matter of fact, they couldn't tell what was what any more!

The room began to spin right before the eyes, where at the end of the enormous corridor they could see figure taking form.. a black, enormous monster crawling their way towards them at an unimaginable speed!

The pitch dark figure did not seemed like a physical entity. Perhaps this thing would strike the Archangels through their strength-- their mental link? This cave seemed to know more of them than they do about it.

"AAAGH! What the bloody blazes is that?", Jack screamed mentally.

Post dice:

((Oh come on. Seriously.))

in their state of shock, the Archangels found themselves paralyzed with fear. It was at that point that Josh looked at Jack and nodded. Jack made eye contact with Josh, nodded back, and slumped over.

Dead.

Josh knew that complete falsified body death was a defense mechanism of the Archangels, that it was quickly and easily reversible when triggered by the Archangel, but gosh did it look convincing. To his right, Megan did the same. Josh pretended to die, but he remained alive. If he didn't, Jack and Megan wouldn't get woken up.

More mind-freaking!

Two angels down, succumbed to the most terrible monster of all: Imagination.

The creature was not gone from sight though, but the terrible echo continued to bounce off the wall of this cave, creating more illusions for John to deal with. He could easily just fail into his own cocoon -- sleep well and tightly in this cave and just let the bad dreams go away...

Would this cave be the last of the initiative?

The answer is clear: It is

The cave had defeated the three archangels with the mechanism that was supposed to protect them. Josh was not able to keep his body from activating said mechanism, which forced him to just drop on the ground, limp... the echo of the cave blinding his sight as he drifted away in sleep. . . until woken up. And the chances of that happening were minimal. This will be a slow and painful death.
