Hey, so I wanted to post something up about describing roleplay areas unique to our characters, so it's all here in one thread, easy to read, etc. It'd help with world building, be there for reference, and just add some flavour. It'd be pretty cool if ya'll also added whatever you write here to your individual character's pages!

Mariya
Office
Located in the back of the Language Department at Bridgeport University - despite Mariya's main subject being History. Her office is small, and the door doesn't seem to have a lock.
A large, stately, well made and ornate desk dominates the area, and it seems far too nice to even belong in such a small room at such a small university. The desk itself is well organized and with little on top of it, other than the screen of her computer (sleek, rather new), and a bronze horse statuette of Russian make. She has three chairs, one for herself, two for guests - all three with high backs and not very mobile, plush upholstery, and fine wooden frames - perfectly matching the desk. Under the desk, filling the space where a taller person's legs would rest, is a mini-fridge.
Lining the walls are book cases that, again, match her furniture, and are filled with thick volumes regarding all sorts of histories, many of the books older with decorative binding; also on the shelves are many small figurines and statuettes of horses, all of them detailed and proportionate. Her office has one large window, but it is always covered by thick, dark drapes.
House
Mariya has done well for herself. Previously having lived in an apartment that was first overtaken by her daughters and then fairly destroyed in a werewolf attack, Mariya has gone from living with a now-ex, to having bought her own home.
Situated on a cul-de-sac on Hidsford Ave, it is large, but not overly so. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, the home itself is furnished in much the classy manner of her previous apartment and office, though newer additions have been made.
Her daughter Nadya has a room in the home, as does her live-in boyfriend John's daughter, Josie. Three cats also reside with them: Sveta, Ivan, and Oxana, all purebred Cornish Rexes.
Vespa
A purple Vespa. It is ill equipped to hold anyone other than herself.
Towncar
Mariya has acquired a Towncare recently.
Kaur / Tachs
Dorm Room
Kaur resides in room 19 in Bridgeport University's dormitory. Dagny stays with her; there's a second bed in the room, but it doesn't seem entirely occupied. A single desk and dresser take up little space, and have little space, themselves: they are both completely covered in books, figurines, and any other items that end up stacked atop them. The room also boasts a private bathroom and small kitchen area.
Home
Aaron Fleischer's home always has room for Kaur whenever dorm life is too much for her.
Donna
Home
Donna currently lives with Aaron Fleischer in his home.
Zan
Apartment
Zan has a studio apartment in a large building.
He has a large bed, a kitchenette, desk, and not much else in the means of furniture and appliances, outside of his bathroom. The kitchenette, notably, is barren and mostly unused. A box of tea sits gathering dust on a shelf.
On shelves throughout the room is jar after jar of reagents - dry, powdered, wet, whole or fragmented; the variety is endless, and mostly locally gathered. Books of all thicknesses and dates are stacked on many of the available surfaces, along with pile upon pile of hand-written notes. In one corner, almost too mundane to even be noticed, sits Zan's flute collection and sheet music.
Zan's ferret familiar, Xun, has free roam of the place.
Rules:
- Place has to be unique to your character (office, bedroom, apartment, car...)
- One post per person, feel free to edit as needed
- List your character's name, and then the places unique to them

Ariadne
Ariadne Negrelli's Antiques Emporium -
This small shop is located in a side street from the docks, on a road that may once have been a commercial hub, but that is mostly residential now. The only echoes left of that more prosperous time is Ariadne's shop, and a boarded up old candy store next door.
The shop, inside and out, look a little out of place and time. It is three storeys high with a basement, but very narrow so that space inside is limited. Blue and white striped awnings hang from the doorframe and the large shop window, that has a regularly changing display of some of the finest items on offer.
The basement serves as a storeroom, full of boxed up purchases, accounts, and Ariadne's collection of circus memorabilia (which is almost shrine-like).It is very dusty, and not accessed by anyone but Ariadne. You won't find any pictures of her family anywhere but here.
The ground (first) floor is a small room devoted to Ariadne's massive store of antiques, piled up in bales and heaps. There is a distinct sense of organisation and order, but to a visitor finding anything is impossible. There is no real ability to browse - you enter the door, a bell alerts the world to your actions, and Ariadne will be upon you. She also keeps her desk here, a large mahogany writing desk that serves as her centre of operations.
The upper two storeys have Ariadne's home, comprising of a sitting room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a small dining room. Rather like her shop, her home is a picture of precisely orchastrated clutter, with many interesting items placed in practical locations.
Finally, at the very top of the house, there is the space once inhabited by Ariadne's daughter: a large bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Ariadne now tries to let this out as a studio apartment, although because of its isolated location, people are slow on the uptake.

Jackie
Church st. Street Sign
This place is in down town Bridgeport near the exist district. Run down buildings for rent and broken cars reside there, but it's an ideal place for crime to happen. Along with some prostitution.
Angelgrove Apartment; room 407
Located five blocks away from Church St. Inside Jackie's home is a one bedroom complex with a small living room, kitchen, and restroom. The living room is the first thing to come across, with a small love seat in front of a colored VCR/DVD television. Right behind the living space is the small counter top connected to the kitchen and main room. An unused oven is rusting beside the 80s style refrigerator, and a microwave rests on the other side of it. It's seen better days. The bedroom is just as small as the living room, with only a double sized bed and a dresser drawer for the hooker's convenience. The bathroom is much the same, but only a toilet, bath tube, and sink.
Sebastien
Point West Apartment; room 204
The building itself is in bad shape, but despite that, Sebastien managed to clean up his small one room living space. There is only a bar on the far wall of the room, a retro refrigerator, a closet wardrobe, and an old yard sale couch. If one were to move the couch, they could possibly see a trap door leading to the room below- which is caved in. Blankets and pillows fill the hole like a nest. This is the vampire's bed.

Aaron
Office
His office is located on the first floor of the Steward Science and Engineering Center at Bridgeport University (a name far more impressive than the building itself), across the hall from a small auditorium and the larger of the building's labs.
The room itself is a mix of the sober and the strange. Shelves of books line every wall: books packed upon books, unceremoniously shifted and jammed into every hint of space - except for when they make way for specimen jars and other bits of a strange osteological collection. These pieces run the gamut - tiny full-body replicas, body parts, the occasional small skull. Not all are of existing creatures - but those are almost certainly replicas. Art pieces.
Precarious towers of the dislocated books, along with the odd CD or cassette tape are stacked on the floor, pushed off into a slightly-less-crowded corner. A coffee maker, boom box, and a small microwave also occupy this area. More CDs and papers are stacked on top of the microwave.
In stark contrast to the rest of the place, his desk is neat, organized and thoroughly unremarkable. A mug of pens and pencils, scissors and the odd X-Acto knife, a desktop monitor and keyboard, a tray for papers, and a tiny Ectomobile rest on top of it. Beneath the desk sits the computer tower and the printer.
His chair is a mobile office chair, mid-back, leather; the two chairs for his guests are not.
If he's in, feel free to walk in. If the place is locked, please leave your papers in the manila envelope on his door. Right under this printout.
Malcolm/Jeff
Apartment
A two-bedroom apartment over the laundromat, on Main Street in the old part of town. There are two doors on the building; one leads into the store, and one opens onto a noisy, dim, creaking stairwell, which leads to the apartment door. There's a bit of a rodent problem, some slight structural issues, moldering hardwood floors, a slew of cats, and it smells a bit like feet despite everyone's best efforts.
Malcolm lives here with his girlfriend, Angeline Utkin, and periodically Alexander "Jeffrey" Hitchcock, who - while he still pays his share of the rent - is currently away for schooling down in Louisiana. But he's thinking about transferring yet again, so Malcolm dutifully keeps the place up. Or at least he says he does. A regular lack of toilet paper and abundance of dirty socks seem to suggest otherwise.
Buffy is a large, fluffy, orange-and-white blob and absolutely not a pillow, despite her geriatric efforts to resemble one. The grey Arsenic and black Xander are young, troublesome, and will probably stalk your shoelaces. Tiny claw marks adorn everything under three feet high, while the cat tree goes relatively ignored. A secondhand love seat and an abundance of beanbags decorate the living room, and Guitar Hero instruments gather dust off in a corner. Unfinished paintings are propped up against one wall, with small electric fans trained on them. Medical textbooks and game controllers are strewn about. It seems to be a typical apartment of average twenty-somethings.
The only aberrations would be the blackout curtains on every window, closed even during the daylight, and a six-pack of rubber-capped bottles in the refrigerator. This bears a piece of paper affixed to the front of the pack with masking tape, on which is scrawled a hasty skull-and-crossbones and the words: MALCOLM’S BOOZE. HANDS OFF. Rolls of bandages are omnipresent. And probably the most sinister - strange dark stains can be spotted on the wall, bleeding through even the thickest of paint jobs. Every resident would insist those were there when they'd moved in.
Dagny
Dorm
Room 32A was originally half of the building's computer lab. A growing student population demanded they divide it up, and now Dagny lives in one of the two resulting oddly-shaped dormitories. Two lofted beds only slightly save space; beneath each is a computer desk. A mini-fridge and a microwave rest under one, a bookshelf and drawers under the other.
There's barely room for posters, but they try, anyway: the current set has a Supernatural poster on the back of their door, which is covered by hanging jackets, and a Spike Spiegel and an exploding TARDIS are plastered on the side of one of their school-issued cabinets. A giant Totoro plush is used as a chair, and tiny Christmas lights are draped over the single, small window.
Her roommate - one Claire Finley - is frequently gone, but such is often the case when a new boyfriend enters the scene.
This floor is allegedly haunted, but that's bull, right?
The Firebird
MAKE: Pontiac
MODEL: Firebird Trans Am
YEAR: 1982
ENGINE: 305 cu in (5.0 L) Cross-Fire Injection V8
TRANSMISSION: Automatic 4-Speed
BODY: Hatchback 2-door
LICENSE PLATE:
WHEELS: Centerline
GIANT FIREBIRD HOOD DECAL: Oh, yes.
OWNER: Aaron Fleischer (purchased 1989)
Zero-to-sixty in eight seconds.
Sleek, black, lovingly maintained and frequently restored, the Firebird is clearly a purchase by an excited young adult jonesing for a flashy muscle car. It's seen many adventures and been on many trips - with both previous and current drivers.
The Firebird has an old working radio and tape deck; within the car, Dagny has a set of cassette tapes dutifully copied from her CDs, and a MP3-to-cassette adapter. A rainbow ribbon magnet rests in the glove compartment rather than on the car; radio station stickers in the window and the shaggy purple seat covers are Dagny's own additions.
If it stays in good repair, it's legally Dagny's once she is able to pay it off, and a tiny axolotl sticker on the rear bumper might be enough indication that she's eager for the day.
