The Guide to Knowing a Pixion

What is a Pixion and are they even lions?
Yes Pixion are very much lions when it comes to genetic makeup.
They are mammals, though they do not have the same antics or reactions of estrus like most female lions.
They have the same feet, hands, ears, tail and nose as lions with a little added spice.
What makes them "different" then?
Though they have similar features as lions and their genes for the most part are lion, they do carry features and assets that are not.
Such as their dragonfly like wings which can allow full flight, though most common is fast, low-flying and fluttering.
These wings come in two sets commonly seen within the race thought they are designed around dragonfly concepts in look. However some do tend to have a slight flare to them or slightly different look.
(This is due to different bloodlines, mutations and or how artists have “drawn” them.)
Their pupils, markings, tongues and wing outlines will share the same color, though each color varies per Pixion, it seems.
They are classified by their markings which are gem, metal, ore or stone-based in coloring. Upon touch it is not hard to tell these markings have a warm fleshy surface that is commonly mistaken for fur, and these areas of pigment are not raised nor firm as actual gems forming from the flesh would be.
Okay so they seem Fae-based, so what's their abilities?
-Moonlight and Sunlight healing, it can be one or the other and it's been heard of that some are both.
(Moon healing absorbing moon beams to manifest energy into healing oneself or others)
(Sun healing absorbing uv/ub rays to manifest into healing oneself or others.)
-Using their own energy source to heal others, though it does make them weaker for sometime.
-Dust, which varies uniquely for each Pixion that has wings.
-Beaming, Ether Vision and Windward all abilities every pixion has unless other wise specified.
So does fairy/pixie magic work on them?
Actually, any fae magic does react to them. No matter what the fae magic is: something cute or more sinister cast upon them. Their body actually absorbs the magic and it manifests into something else within them. Typical signs that can be seen if your Pixion has been exposed to pure fae magic (NOT PIXION magic) is a massive personality change. For example if your Pixion is kind and gentle then they will be the opposite. Prude becomes wanton, sweet becomes sour, evil becomes good...you get the drift.
Please note that when talking about fairy dust or fae magic. We are actually talking about little fairies and those classes(Like in tgt, fairy tales, tinker bell …etc). Other fae based species that have fae in their blood or in their background will not bother them to the same degree.
They will still absorb their magic and may have a slight shift in irration, itches, ticks or urges but it is not the same or as strong as TRUE fairy/fae magic.
Okay, so are they immortal?
Actually no, they are not. If you cut their head off, guess what? They will die. If you tear their heart out they can't grow it back. Yet they can HEAL from most mortal wounds if they are in the right elements. They are classified as demi-immortal ten years after their Blooming aka puberty.
Demi-immortal means they do not age like a normal mortal beings. Common colds, sickness and things of that nature do not effect them.
Though colds designed to sicken a fae like race can indeed make them weaker, and give them cold and flu-like symptoms.
What about their wings?
Well for one all Pixions born have the markings and odd eyes. Only those that become labeled "desirable" Pixion will grow wings when they hit puberty; this is called "Blooming".
Which means their wings seem to be where their stronger abilities come from such as dust. Pixion without wings are incapable of producing dust.
If you remove their wings they will lose most their abilities, minus their basic healing. However, their wings will grow back and so will their abilities that were lost during recovery.
Wings growing back though is one of the most painful things for them to go through, as it peels from under their skin and takes over a month to fully shed and heal.
Light Wings: These wings develop more into a dragonfly shape. They are rounded vs tattered in looks like their dark counter parts. The dust the typically produce tends to be more useful, less fearful, harmless or passive by nature.
Dark Wings: These wings develop into a tattered version of the commonly-seen Pixion wings. Dark wings more often have a mutated ability, or one viewed darker to those with a positively-aligned sense of morals. Examples being: Temporary life to those past, communication with the non-living, ghost like appearances and more.
(Please note though Dark wings are called a mutation they are not ACTUALLY a genetic mutation as they come from one of the OG lines)
Are Pixion only "Pixion" when they have wings?
No. The Pixion are considered as such when they are born with the odd eyes, markings, tongues and healing abilities. Though those viewed as more desirable are the ones capable of growing wings after their "Blooming.". It is actually rare to see a Pixion without wings.
What mutations might occur in this species? (With Approval!)
Clustered Markings: At times markings can appear on the tops of hands and feet as well as sometimes elbows and knees or heavier clustering on the upper legs/thighs. It is not commonly seen, nor is it a desired trait to occur by the standards of those whom originally bred the Pixion to achieve the perfect species. This mutation can be mild or heavy depending (on approval).
WING MUTATIONS
(Actual WING mutations)
Wing Blight: This is an extremely rare mutation which only a few have ever been recorded to have. It occurs in the intensely-inbred who come from a predominantly wingless bloodline on rare occasion, creating the illusion of natural wing growth during puberty. However, upon maturity the wings that grow in are infected and become pale, almost brittle and somewhat shriveled. They lack proper movement, creation of dust, flight , and even color.
(Only one Pixion has been approved for this).
Tri-Wing: In theory this is a first gen mutation. Where the very original Pixion’s of the race had a single second set of wings between their original ones.
(Only two have been approved for this)
Mismatch : When a Pixion is born with one side as dark the other side as light. A very rare mutation that also allows the said Pixion to have two dusts instead of one.
(Only one has ever been approved of this)
Other Types
Physical mutations These typical can be something as simple as a second set of ears to added assets.
Splicing There are a select few of Pixion that were spliced with animal and (1) plant dna. These are considered mutated due to their dna surviving fusion. They typically have things that make them VERY different than the average Pixion. They are mostly considered sterile if not a VERY low gene of reproduction due to their spliced gene. (For them not to be sterile it must be approved by the creator).
Please note that there are several Eden lines that created Pixion’s that do carry dust, wing or other physical mutations. These Pixion are known as the Forbidden’s, Forgotten’s, Seasonal’s and the Spliced.
Can I play one?
No. Please understand as stated this is a closed race. As of 11/25/22 the MYO’s are officially closed. The only way to obtain one is by premades or approved resell (which yes there is a T.O.S) as well. If you are not already a Pixion player you will have to submit an application per any resold(design) or premades.
Can my character come from a blood line of Pixion?
Due to this race being closed it is very rare we accept characters related to Pixion’s or their bloodlines. However we will always at least look/listen to a concept this does not mean it will be accepted. We are very picky and rarely approve such concepts.
Other things to know?
Well there is no build or height limitation to the Pixion race, they are more commonly seen between the five to seven feet range.
There also is no gender restrictions or sexuality restrictions.
The race does seem to produce females more commonly then males, meaning it tends to me a more female heavy race.
Pixion are capable of healing within sun or moonlight.
It is not common for Pixion’s to be able to heal from both. Though it has been seen more in males than females.
Males tend to withstand dusts slightly longer than females.
Astral, darkness, mind, sleeping and those that aid in copying, canceling, amplifying or manipulation are desired among power hunger beings. They also are dusts that seem to have a faster effect on others mundane or Pixion.
Wingless Pixion show the highest ability to withstand for longer —- full dust effects.
The birds and the bees
We all know how babies are made and obviously so do the Pixion. However Pixion do tend to have a harder time with pregnancy. It’s not that they are sterile they just have a very low fertility rate most of the time. However for Pixion become pregnant with a pixion offspring their pregnancy lasts exactly ten ether moons(10 months). Twins are rare with only a handful ever being born let alone surviving and triplets are even more rare. In old world tales they were viewed as an icon to worship and fear and many believe this is due to some of the original Pixion and what they were capable of.
Half breeds
Everyone loves a good half breed we all know this! However within the Pixion race half breeds are indeed different. A half breed with just anyone(meaning not another magical race that's been approved by me) can still be born. They however will not hold any of the Pixion's actual species traits. This means they will not have their stone like markings, wings, dust ability and most likely will NOT have their actual race ability.
It is also more then likely they will be sterile unless it is with another feline based species.
This being said your Pixion is welcome to have a half breed child in that sense, but must still be run by Nekomanics(to be noted) and this half breed holds NO abilities, assets or traits from the Pixion race.

Pixion Abilities
BEAMING
All Pixion, no matter the gender or if they do or do not have wings, have another thing in common: Beaming; a mental connection that creates a mental wave length which only Pixion can share. Though this is usually only shared subconsciously, meaning it is seen when they sleep. This being said, a Pixion can randomly connect in their dreams with one another or even multiples and interact with them. Their dream state like this is very much real, allowing them to communicate and even feel things and people around them within and via this dream state.
Fold Mirroring
This is a form of rifting (Dimensional travel). However this is not jumping from realm to realm as much as some may think. This is an ability that typically is used for dimensional communication and vision through mirrored surfaces. Typically between and throughout the mundane world and other realms.
They however do not rift jump as their fae based magic bloodline is incapable of traveling through pockets of time between realms.
Their fae bloodline are not of a time travel species — So please do not ask if they can travel in such away.
(This would only be possible for hybrids or halfbreeds both of which are closed).
Folds though for communication are rather common and though not all Pixion and Ullarie are taught to do it they have a natural born ability to.
Requirements
For communication or seeing through a mirrored surface in the same realm or others.
`Drop of blood dripped onto the mirrored surface
`Mind set upon the place you desire to communicate or see through too
`”Elletu Une Selle.” a fae based enchantment required to open the Fold Mirroring.
`They can only hold these folds for short spurts of time within a few minutes to maybe a few hours.
ETHER EYES
It is said MOST Pixion are born with the ability to see magic residue around beings or objects (Magic barriers, strong curses/hexes, strong protection or tracking spells and love spells).
This magic residue leaves a trail if freshly made, or leaves a faint feeling and coloring. Which comes into play for Pixion that have a decent memory for if they come across the person who cast or created the magic the residue will linger on them in some form.
Note that all Pixion can see this when focusing for it, but that does not mean all have been trained in it.
Windward
The ability that all Pixion whether with wings or not still have a balance of air to earth. Meaning that they will become weightless when falling from anything higher then their own height. Their fae blood is strong no matter if they have grown wings or not. Which leads to it protecting them from fall damage, their body much like cats will turn them over to land usually on their feet. Unless they lack proper grace in which case knees or rumps will also work. It slows down their fall speed time so that they hover for a moment before actually hitting the ground.
Healing
All Pixion have the ability to use either moonlight or sunlight to heal themselves or others. In some cases such as most males and very few females they are able to use both. They take the rays from either or both of them to aid them in this. Their body is able to absorb the light fragments which are channeled through them and turned into a physical energy. One sign a Pixion is using these ray(s) to help them is their pupils will fully dilate and flood their entire eyes. Causing them to be a solid color and will stay that way until they are done. Pixion with wings, will also tend to experience the same glowing sensation in the wing veins. Though it should be noted the more they use their ability for extended amounts of time. The harder and longer it is for them to recover from it, this only applies to healing others. As their body when exposed to their rays will heal on it's on due to their mutated fae blood.
